I am a newish jumper (21 as of this writing) and all my jumps have been at this dropzone. I started late in the year with a first jump course and just kept going back. The course was very informative and I felt prepared for my jump when the time came. After about 8 jumps, I took the PFF course. In my opinion, this is the way to learn to skydive. The gear is well maintained, there is always a positive vibe, and all the regulars are ready, willing and able to answer questions. For the experienced jumper, there are belly flyers and freeflers to jump with. Coaching is available if you like. Our annual Labour Day Boogie should not be missed! We are only about 3 1/2 hours from Bangor ME, so bring you american dollars and jump cheap!

100% canadian... or at least 200+ years of it. actually, our family was here while nova scotia was still a british colony (canada wasn't canada yet), they were french/swiss immigrants. probably some other odds and ends thrown in in the meantime, some scot for sure. i disagree. i think that if a person wants a higher education bad enough, they will get it. will it be a harvard education? perhaps not, but there are schools that can give equivalent credentials. having an ivy league name on your diploma can give a person a leg-up, but in the long run, it's what you know and how you apply it that matters. giving a child an easy ride through school can set them up with higher than realistic expectations... if their life is too easy, they expect it to stay that way. if they have to work and suffer a little on the way, they will have a greater sense of accomplishment when they arrive. just my $0.02. i've had people bring up the height issue when i tell them about jumping... i try to explain that height is no longer an issue at 3000'+, maybe there's so much else going on in your head the fear gets pushed out? maybe it's just too high to get your head around? i'm not afraid of heights, but i do respect them when it comes to things like playing on my roof with christmas lights and stuff, but i don't even think about it when i jump.
