not realy a quote, just a look. i'm on about jump 15 or so, me, a jumpmaster and two first jumpers climb in the cessna, the plane won't start so they bring a truck over to boost it, the pilot goes to close his side window, the handle falls off so they duct tape it shut. one of the students looks at me and says about his buddy (the other first jumper), "he's taking his first jump, he's never been in a plane before. i look at the other guy and say "so, are you having fun yet?" he just looks at me. i now know what sheer terror looks like! my tv was on discovery channel (nobody watching it, typical with a house ful of kids) when it came on so i glued myself to the couch for the duration. i wish there had been more of it, but it was more than i'd seen of it before so i'm ahead a little. anyone know if there will be a video (preferable dvd) of the whole process? i do that with my dog all the time. i always walk him in the park and have trained him to 'do his business' in the bushes so i don't have to pick it up. in the winter, everyone walks on a narrow path that ends up being a trench about 2 feet deep and he has a hard time getting out of it, so i pick him up and toss him (with a low arc) about 6-8 feet off the path. when the snow is soft, he pretty much disappears. he'll run around in circles a few times to make a nest of sorts, does his thing and then tries to swim back to me.
