[teachers hat on] The EU and Europe are not the same thing. The EU was not around during either of the first 2 World Wars. It had not been formed. Don't you have to register your firearms Kev? How does registering your firearms cause a legal user a problem? -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "Therefore it can be easily construed that the UN wants to stop legal activity that is protected by our constitution." I really don't think they are interested in you guys and your LEGAL toys, and if you do, then you are getting kinda paranoid....no surprise there then. construed "(from Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary) construe verb FORMAL construe as to understand the meaning, especially of other people's actions and statements, in a particular way: Any change in plan would be construed as indecision." No I disagree. Control of illegal arms deals on an international level is a long way from trying to impose on your constitutional rights as US citizens, whichever way you try and bend the truth, or misread intentions. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Blue person... I lewked it upp. Its a trick I lurned. "(from Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary) illicit adjective illegal or disapproved of by society: illicit drugs such as cocaine and cannabis the illicit trade in stolen vehicles an illicit love affair" Justin, "Really, NacMac! Reading, thinking and intelligent action just require TOO MUCH WORK!" Aye yer probably right, I should have known better. There wasn't enough pictures in the article to keep people attention for any length of time...... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Rather than cut your nose off to spite your face, why don't you look at scenarios where you could be knocked senseless, and try to avoid/mitigate those? Choose you jump buddies/style of jumping more carefully, and/or wear hard stuff on your head. I don't want to see people being paralysed, but I don't want to see them burning in either..... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. UN seeking to regulate small arms sales in the US

Did anyone who posted outrage about this article actually read it? ""The United Nations remains firmly committed to prevent, combat and eradicate the illicit trade of small arms and light weapons in all its aspects," he said. " Any of you people 'Illicit arms traders", do you buy 'illicit arms' no? I didn't think so. So your all in favour of illegal arms deals with , ohh lets hazard a guess at who buys illicit weapons in a global marketplace, oh yes....Al Quaeda, IRA, Basque separatists.....war on terror my arse. Shame on you people. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "The tracking dives I have been on I had to use a delta to stay with them....If I used a max flat track they fell away from me." Way to go Ron, at least you had a reference...... "So maybe the best way to practice is just do a solo, and really work the body position." Or a two way track with somone wearing camera? -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "what other tips would you give someone who wants to learn to track faster and flatter?" "If you exit that low, always go for the reserve!" I'm talking about hop n pops around 2000 ft, say a snivveling spectre on a bad day eats up 800 ft, if it mals, or I tumble / fumble I am in two out territory. For sure, A/C emergencies at or around 1500, its hello reserve, but not for 'regular' 2 grand HnPs.... I've gone to the main at an exit alt of 1400, but no AAD and I was young and ignorant..... edit>"How low do you exit?" Anything above 2000 is okay with me, but I have gotten out lower, in my youth. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "Most people don't practice that stuff." Or they are in denial about their own abilities. When the Brit100 stuff was going on, most participants were 'encouraged' to go on at least one tracking dive. They are fun, and let you know just exactly how well you can, or more importantly, cannot track. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "I don't think anyone could forget to pull " Hmm, there's a page somewhere that says people do indeed 'forget to pull', they either brain lock, or can't find the handles, or experience hard pulls, or some other equipment problem. Aha, here it is, interesting reading, even though the data only runs to june 2001. ...http://www.cypres-usa.com/saves02b.htm example........."28.March 1999 Elsinore, USA : A skydiver with 2000 jumps and 20 years in the sport was unable to pull the reserve handle after a cutaway. The CYPRES opened the reserve container." Come out of denial and admit it, you will go low sooner or later, if you haven't already. I have a Cypres in case I go too low, not because I think I will be knocked out. I also jump with at least one audible, normally two, and seldom jump without a hard helmet, maybe 5 times out of 1200. Of course there are instances where a Cypres can be a hinderance, eg exiting an aircraft at a relatively low altitude with a main that is known to snivvel, eg my spectre. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. "You should ad that the old EU was the only sponsor of both WW that I know of," You want to explain that one to me? Your saying that the European Union was in some way responsible for one, or both of the World Wars? I really don't think so. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. [:)] New skills / What you would like to learn how to do...

"Can you weld coat hangers together?" Yes, but you probably want to use an old fashioned oxy acetylene set. There should be all sorts of evening classes, check locally. Hey how about his, next time I'm over your way, I'll teach you to weld, you can teach me to surf...deal? -
I have one for my PC7, I needed it to hack the camera and enable DVin-but thats another story. These wee adaptors are not really suited to jumping, however if you really MUST have it...try http://www.datavision.co.uk/ They should be able to hook you up with one. NB they are out of stock right now but will set you back about $70. You will need to give our FF2 some grinder love to fit it. Its about the size of a book of matches, and maybe twice as thick. It plugs into your power adaptor socket, so will stick out a fair bit. All in all, its a pretty frail adaptor. I wouldn't recommend jumping it, unless you epoxy it onto the camera. Then epoxy your cameye into it, even then it will stick out the housing and probably won't last very long. There are workarounds available for a PC10 (you can make a LED repeater, or buy a ready made cam-on indicator) from various places, but none will give you the functionality of the cameye. Sorry man, maybe time to retire the 10 and get a newer model, or just live with switching the cam on in the traditional way. Let me know if you need a picture of what his wee thing looks like and I'll try and post some pics, but I'd advise you to forget about trying to make it work with your current setup. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. I've done 1400 with a crw packed/mod'd fury, not really an awful lot of fun. Personal rules, below 2500 cypres is off. In the UK when we apply for a license that number stays with us as the license is 'promoted' from A-B-C-D. I'm not sure if thats the case in the US either... So even more confusion. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
