Nice picture of Robi taking an SF3 off a big wall

Oh yeah, and some really cool GPS plots!
-
That doesn't look like a huge amount of support!
-
Also, don't forget the new competitor, the MPAAD

I just got my e606 today. Still have my 6310i for tri-band too.

Well, I wasn't going to upload it. We need to sort out some sort of optimal bitrate for everyone but I guess that's tricky. Now available from ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/public/records/Discovery300way96kbps.wmv -
JumpTrack isn't an audible. It's the interface and software used to download data from the ProTrack to your PC. The Pro-Dytter and TimeOut doesn't record data (and the Cool and Groovy TimeOut Evolution 2000 which did is no longer available - although you might be able to buy one second hand) so if you really want to record, I wouldn't suggest those. I'd recommend the ProTrack over the Skytronic because of the increased functionality and L&B's outstanding customer service. However, they are both solid products and if you've been offered a newish model (what is the shape and colour of the box) for 1/2 price it sounds like a good deal. If you are on a limited budget, I'd certainly recommend it. At this stage, you are probably better off spending your money on jumping. You might also want to consider the Altimaster Neptune but I've not actually seen one yet (hopefully next week) so I can't recommend it.

I've re-encoded it as a 250 kbps Windows Media 8 file, reducing it in size to approximately 17 MB. It's available from ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/public/Records/Discovery300Way.wmv I also did a 96 kbps version and the quality isn't bad for a 6 MB size, but we can't have "dozens" of different size files, so I have to compromise somewhere. Have I set the bar too high? -
Early skydiving stuff on the radio

Nice one Dave. I'll host it but I think it would be more appropriate on skydivingmovies.com. We'll create an Audio sub-directory I think... -
Me! Look for the pale, fat, sweaty, English geek, with the jade and silver Voodoo! There from the 7th to the 20th, although I'll be spending a couple of days in Deland also. I also tknow that new DZ.com member Skytash, and also I think Kallend, will be there too.

I'm guessing that's from a different part of the film due to the savanna type background.

Yes, it's weird. Not only are the guys who did the jump experienced BASErs and wingsuiters, they are experienced wingsuit BASErs. It looks from the backdrop that they did the jumps; I guess a running exit in a suit either wasn't easy or didn't look good.

I've extracted the BASE/wingsuit/parachute section of the trailer and uploaded it to ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/uploads/TombRaiderBirdMan.WMV (608 Kb)

Actually, the most common place I usually see her is Lapalisse! p.s. Say hello from me!

Jo's a cool chick. We got her in the air at the Weston Wingsuit festival last year. She's the one in the red and yellow suit in this picture And she is small! She doesn't even need a suit!

Received mine yesterday! The postmark was dated January 27th!! I'm in the UK...

I can't seem to find an online map that marks both of these points as they are named here. This is the closest I could find Tapotupotu Bay seems to correspond with the little dip under the S of Spirits Bay. This area is the real tip of the "boot"
-
Wow! This is the guy who was planning to land the wingsuit with a board strapped to his front on a snowy incline. Now it's just "near" and "close"?
-
I don't have a Skytronic but according to the online operating guide "In any operating mode you can switch between Metric and English measurement just pressing in the center of the keypad, using a ball pen in correspondence of the small hole. The corresponding MT or FT indicator will show up. This feature is available in any mode where altitudes are shown."

Well Fordy will normally be front floating and leading on his back because he's scared and wants to keep his eyes on the tail and everyone else! You can easily get 4-5 people floating on these aircraft with close divers. I've found that with groups you don't want to be too close. The transition to flying on the exit and the restrictiveness of the suit is not conducive to being stable if there is a coming together. The range on the suits is so great, expecially as the flying gets dirtier as the groups get larger, that a little bit of separation can be easily made up, so I think a little bit of space is a good thing. Actually, that's a good point. Because of the Skyflyer's faster forward speed, these suits should probably go out after the Classic and GTis.

Have a similiar story myself. My helmet chin strap came lose after a freefall collision. After establishing that both parties were okay, we quickly tracked off. The air got under my helmet and lifted it off. I helplessly watched it quickly slow down above me out of my reach. Only had a vague idea of where it landed and a search with some friends failed to find it. A local farmer found it a few weeks later in a muddy field and it was eventually returned to me. The ProTrack was still attached and functioning and I was able to download and determined the helmet struck the ground about 50mph! The PC1, which was in a D-box, still functioned and the attached stills were retrieved from the tape! The camera pointed up and the helmet started to spin as it fell so apart from the few initial shots, the rest of the footage contains a rotating sky and canopies until the camera switches off on impact.

I've got one of those too from my old Voodoo1: ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/UPLOADS/Voodoo1ReserveDeployment.mpg Dave, which directory do you think these should go in? Windows Media? -
Sorry Tom, you're wrong. It is Lukas. Check out the KockumsIV movie on headdown.net (seems to be down at the moment?) also these pictures.
