Fortunately that probably wasn't the concrete you were vaccuming up. It was most likely the "mud bed" commonly put down under the tile. Concrete does not damage from water or flooding. Well the weather has sucked so I have found alternative activities. Been visiting with the family, we skipped Fat Tuesday parades to have a BBQ and go mud ridding in South Mississippi slop. Thyanks for the advice peeps. Heavenly has lots of lodging options, but Squaw seems to have less. I am still hoping to find a house or condo. I am looking for help finding accomodations near at or very near Squaw valley in February. My snowboardin posse from back East here are planning a trip to Tahoe this year. We are flying into Sacramento and meeting up with a few friends from the Bay Area. I am striking out finding a 3-4 bedroom Condo or House that is actually at the slopes. How many dead and/or injured jumpers do you consider to be "occasionally"? Six deaths a year? An injury just about every weekend across the US? That's where we're at right now. Seen a landing accident yet? Visited a friend in the hospital after he had an unplanned titatium implant? Been to any funerals lately? Yes I have seen landing incidents, a fatality in fact. Education is our best bet. Quite frnakly that's the best we can hope for. There are far too may people who enter this sport for the freedom of it and th more we regulate the more the face of our populaion at the DZ will change. Ultimately not a good thing. Not saying people will leave because of rules meant to save lives, but highly regulated things tend to defer some types of people, many of whom i call friends at the DZ. kwak Sometimes your the bug, sometimes your the windshield. Hmm well i have two different categories i suppose. There is a loooooooooooooooooong list of famous folks I have photographed, musicians and athletes. A not so looong list of peeps I have actually met. I have met, Jerry Garcia and oost of the Greatful Dead though not a fan just hsared a flight from San fran w/ them. The band LIVE numerous times. Sam Donaldson from NBC news. I went to elemenatry school w/ several of the guys from 3 Doors Down. Rapper Freak nasty used to hang out in a strip club I worked in, even funnier Clarence Carter's (of "strokin" fame) son dated one of the dancers at the same club. I have met the Neville brothers even sat on stage for the concert. There are others I am not recalling I'm sure, but that's enough for now.
