Many Reasons.. Skydiving is a VERY social sport. Meeting other Jumpers is the main reason I travel. Also Jumping different Aircraft, Learning new skills and Jumping over new scenery. Jumping over Arizona surrounded by dessert is totally different than Jumping over Georgia with green Rolling Hills is totally different than Jumping over Florida which is flat but you can see the ocean. Freefall is the shortest part of the Jump. Once you open your canopy, The scenery while flying along can be just as exhilarating especially if you are flying over new scenery. Skydiving is about sooooo much more than just the Rush. As for minorities.. There are many that skydive.

$149 at The Farm to 14000 Plus feet everytime ($129 one weekend a Month). The same at Rome when they were still jumping. No Hidden fees. Both DZ are within 1/2 an hour of ASC. I am not sure about Video But I think it is $60 or $75 for DVD.

So you are saying they Lied to you.. And over charged you for your Jump. Over Charged you for your video. And then Scammed you out of even More Money.. Now on this I do agree with you. ASC does have some Fantastic Jumpers there. They do have Good Staff. There are Many people on the "Other side of the Road" that I really like and a couple I consider Friends. But the things that people are complaining about here are the Fraudulent Business practices such as telling people they are 20 minutes away when in fact they are 2 Hours away.. And Charging Hidden Fees such as the "Extra Altitude Fees and Big Plane Fees.", Using peoples Websites and Photos without permission and Stealing 1-800 numbers from a great mans family after he died. These things are not acceptable not matter how cool the DZ is. These are the things that many people have a problem with. Again.. I agree. Some of the Jumpers I Know from over there tell me they will not go anywhere else because when ever they do and people find out they Jump at ASC they get sooo much shit it just isnt worth it. SO they stay at ASC where they feel welcome. Everyone reading this.. If someone from any of Ben and Cary`s DZ shows up at your DZ.. PLEASE welcome them with Open Arms and show them that we are all skydivers. Show them that there doesnt have to be all this Bullshit. If you just start attacking them for supporting Skyride.. You are just running them back to where they dont have to listen to all that.

My Brother once had a legstrap Nut Under on a Bungee Launch. 185 foot Tower in Chatanooga, TN. They used a Modified Parachute Harness and 3 Ring release to initiate the launch. Everything was good while they were stretching the Bungee Cord, Soon as they released him.... You could hear the scream for miles. Then as he neared the Apex, you see him frantically trying to adjust himself before coming back down.. to no avail and another scream. Repeat about 5 more times before they were finally able to get him back down.

Naaa.. They are a little more Low key out there. I did like the Wheel of Carnage thing.. Maybe I will set up something like that in the Van. I will have to come up with some interesting things to put on the wheel.

Well I will be there with the Disco Boogie Express loaded with Jello shots.. Oh.. And did I mention that it is my Birthday weekend.

White Tail.. Black Tail.. Yellow Tail.. I have hunted them all at one point or another. But never used a Bow.. Usually just provide jello-shots and it seems to work OK.

I wasnt there for this one.. But I can definitely see why people are upset as this happens to be right beside the BUNK Rooms. Mark.. I know everyone loves the killer light show and sets you play. People do appreciate it when you come out and play, However.. I dont think it is unreasonable for people to expect to be able to sleep in the Bunk House after 2:00am. Reguardless if you have a few people (or alot even) still wanting to party. It is a DROPZONE.. People should get some sleep if they plan on jumping the next day. That is why they Built Bunk Rooms.. So poeple would have a place to sleep. At some point.. You have to be considerate of others. Music off at 2:00am seem pretty reasonable. Music=Good. Lights=Good.. Sleep at some point = Good. Balance it all out.

What if your colors are Royal Blue, Black and Silver?? Does that Qualify me? (I wasnt brave enough to get White on a Rig, I thought Silver would look clean longer.)

Nice to meet you Smilie.. And all the rest of the west coast crowd. I had a good time out there and will be back at some point. But I may not play with Wheel of Carnage so much next time.. After a while there was some platinum Blonde running around in a Plaid Mini-Skirt that almost started looking cute. A Couple of highlights for me... 8 Drunk Dz.comers Doing the Time warp Friday night. Sorry I didn’t have my pants around my ankles like the others but I was Uhhh Regimental and No one needed to see that. Vinny the Anvil doing stupid human tricks involving a Car and a Creeper. Finally getting to hang with my former #1 and #2 Crushes. As for the Numbers thing.. All I can say is it was Cold!! That is my story and I am sticking to it! Now you guys get your asses to the Halloween Boogie at SDA. Hope to see many of you there.

0-2-1 Back Home from Byron. 2 Jumps due to winds all day friday and part of Saturday. I think I was entirely too well behaved at that Boogie, I will have to do better next time.

I like the Coaches rating and the course that goes along with it because it does help some one learn HOW to teach. What I don’t like is people that Charge for Coach jumps. Both DZs I have been at actually do not ALLOW anyone to charge for Coach Jumps. Both had several Coach rated jumpers who enjoyed "Giving back to the sport". Many of these coaches got their rating just so they could do this. By the time someone finishes AFF, They are out of pocket atleat $1,000 to $1,500 and trying to scrape up the money for a rig. To expect them to Pay their Slot, The Coaches Slot PLUS something extra is asking way too much. Especially when all these "Coach Rated" jumpers didnt have to do that. When they were coming up, I would be willing to BET some oldtimer probably took them under their wing and jumped with them and didnt charge for their Slot and/or time. I plan on getting my rating by the end of the year so that I can hopefully "Pay it Forward" when I am qualified.
