You have many Choices around that area. Research them all. I would caution you to make sure you are dealing directly with the dropzone when you do choose to book your Tandem. Avoid dealing with Middlemen such as Skyride. If the person that you are speaking to refuses to give you the EXACT address of the place you will be jumping without getting a Credit Card number first, You are probably dealing with a Skyride agent. Also if they are selling "Weather Insurance", "Big Plane Fees" or any other extra Hidden Charges, They are probably NOT the actual DZ.

I have a Place to stay all taken care of.. But to My flight back home leaves at 2:00pm on Sunday and may need a ride back to SFO from someone. I may stick with my original plan of renting a Car if necessary but it would even better if I could find a ride from someone who has a Flight around the same time on Sunday. We did get the Video Copied to Hippys camera. Tara has the Stills and I will be collecting them all together this week to make sure they get where they need to go. We do not have video of the RW jump but It was cool as well. The spelled out S H A.. The key for each point was Carbone Flipping Double Birds.. On Break Off They all Saluted. I use my iPod Mini in my Van for exactly that purpose. The iPod never leaves the van. I tried the iTrip FM Transmitter. I had two of them quit working after only a couple weeks. Also changing broadcast frequencies (Something you will HAVE to do on long road trips) was a royal pain in the ass with the iTrip. After the second one broke, I bought a Cassette adapter. It has been working for months. I agree that whatever you get, Hard wired is the way to go. Monster makes Cables that plugs ANY MP3 player into a head deck that has audio inputs. (Unfortuanately my 1993 GMC Van doesnt have those!)

I couldnt possibly agree with you more!! And then there are those people that buy products based on Features and Functionality as opposed to what looks best with todays outfit. Why bother buying an iPod.. Changing the operating system, Tweaking it.. Finding alternate software to manage it.. Why not just buy a different Devise that you dont have to jump through those Hoops?? My Generic "Samsung Chip set" MP3 players are great. Plug them into a usb port.. Its a drive. Move files back and forth as you please. No restrictions. No hoops to jump through.. No third party software, No Playlists to maintain. Battery dies?? Take the old out in 2 seconds, Put in new one. Battery dies in iPod.. Start researching on the web the How to sites.. Order special battery.. Void your warranty and go for it.. or send back to the factory.

This is NOT true. If you purchase any Rights Managed (Legally Purchased songs) in WMA format, iTunes WILL NOT covert them. You only choice is to burn the songs to a CD and then Rip them back off the CD in MP3 (Or other compatible format). To answer the original posters question... There is absolutely NOTHING the ipod does that the other less expensive MP3 Players will not do. However there are MANY things that the less expensive models will do that the iPOds will not do. I bought an iPOd (And still use it sometimes) and absolutely hated it because of all the limitations. I purchased two other very inexpensive MP3 Players and Love them because they are MUCH easier to use if you are technically inclined at all. If you want to spend hours and hours dicking with Play list (I dont), Not have the ability to play songs legally purchased from sites such as Napster (WMA Format), Have to find 3rd party software to use your iPod as a Jump drive, NOT be able to move songs FROM your ipod to another Computer.. But have the latest and Trendy devise.. Then spend the extra money and buy the iPod.. You cant do as much with it.. But atleast you will be cool.
