I may be misreading this and making assumptions.. But I think the unspoken thing here may be that she could not read/write English. Name = Maria Salanis in San Antonio Tx leads me to think she may have been mexican. The Quote "A person is Fluent in Sign Language may not be Fluent in English" leads me to beleive that she couldnt read or write english. The real problem here sounds like it was she couldnt speak/read english and wanted an interpreter. not just for sign but for language Translation. That would explain why Police could not communicate with her in the Normal manner of Writing Notes.

But was she signing in English or Spanish?? IS there a Differance?? Never really thought about that before. Sounds like she was Spanish/Mexican.

[RANT] Vegas was sooooo much better when the Mob still ran it. Now that corporate america runs it, You really get screwed... And no sign of a reach around. It used to be that you went to Vegas knowing you really were not going to win.. But thats ok because they treated you great from the time you walked in till the time you left. They would feed you like a king, Keep the drinks coming, treat you with respect.. all as long as you kept gambling. When you left, Your wallet was a little Lighter but you were paying for entertainment. It was worth it. $2.99 Prime Rib dinners were every where, The Drinks were strong, The dealers were friendly. The Mob knew how keep you coming back. Things are now so very different there. Meals are ridiculously over priced. I was there for 5 days and never spent less than $50 for Dinner for just me and these were not even the nicer restaurants. The drinks were watered down, Trying to find a cocktail waitress was next to impossible. $5 and $10 tables??? Forget it. No where to be found.. And this wasn’t even one of the nicer Casinos.. This was the Flamingo. While I am Far from a Whale, but I am a pretty serious gambler that put alot of money in play. At one point I was at a Craps table.. Down about $600 in the past 20 minutes.. Still had another $1K in front of me.. I would have between $300 and $500 in play on any given roll.. And I couldnt even get the House to Comp a Pack of Smokes... Noooo they wanted $10 for Ciggs. I order a Drink... RedBull and Vodka.. "We can Comp the Vodka, But you have to pay for the red-Bull sir" ($5 for a Red Bull BTW) This was a $25 Craps Table. I look down and I have 4 Points with MAX Odds across the board... And have been playing this way for quite a while. I call for the pitt boss.. "Corporate policy" is all he can say. The Craps Tables??? (My true weakness...) Now are 3/4/5x MAX Odds. WTF??? Used to be 10X and 20X Tables were everywhere. (Casino Royal does still 100x Odds I found out later) Black Jack?? Only Single deck every where. I hate single deck. Much bigger house edge because BJ only pays 6 to 5. ON Monday Morning for a couple of hours.. They did open a $15 Table.. Lowest Limit I saw there all week. And now for one thing I just could not believe.. The thing that finally sent me over the edge... $4 fee to use the ATM in a casino. WTF??? Used to be if you had $20 under your mattress at home... A friendly Pitt Boss would help you figure out a way to get to it if you were going to put it in play.. Now they are Charging you to get your Money so you can give it to them?? Too Much. Bring back the Mob!!! They ran Vegas sooooo much better. [/RANT]

Wow!! Only $55K. Really not a bad price. It would cost more than that to even come close with a good restore. It reminds me alot of my first vehicle. My first vehicle was 1966 Chevy Stepside that my great Uncle gave me for my 12th Birthday (Living in Bumfuck Georgia, We get cars a little early.). It had a Rebuilt 4 bolt Main 350, HUGE cam (To the point we never could get it idle right at all - I forget the lift and duration but it was way too much), Muncie 4-speed with a Corvette Shifter (Picture a skinny 12 year old that could barely see over the steering wheel to begin with tying to reach the clutch and then hold the steering wheel with one hand while leaning over to almost the floorboad to reach the shifter.). I tore up a lot of dirt roads with that truck. I miss that Truck so bad wish I would have kept it.

Delta Skymiles offer two different types for "Free" Tickets for redeeming Skymiles. ONe is "Skysaver" and it costs 25,000 Skymiles (This is what I am willing to spend) the other is SkyChoice and costs 50,000 miles (Not willing to give up that many miles). Have to check with delta and see what is available from the city my guest is flying from.
