Poker Chips from Casino I have played in. I usually keep at least a couple $1 Chips and occasionally a $5 Chip or two if they are pretty cool. I have about 200 Chips now. Still working on getting around to putting them in a Display. Toys from my Childhood. I have Rock em Sock Em Robots, Several Evel Knevel Stunt Cycles, Stretch Arm Strong All in Great Condition in a Display case in my office. Betty Page Memorabilia. Preferably older stuff not the reproduction or mass market stuff you see everywhere now.

Like I said see for yourself. Go visit them. Sounds like you have been fed some lies (ASC is known for that too). 1 Plane?? The Farm owns 4 Planes. A Caravan, Grand Caravan, Porter and 185. SDA (Thomaston) has a A King -Air.. One of the nicest planes in Skydiving. 14000 feet in less than 7 minutes. ASC may turn more loads than the Farm (Not always but sometimes) but I doubt they come close to Thomaston on turning loads. Also The Farm is an Upjumper Dropzone. Very few Tandems compared to ASC. The Farm will NEVER Bump upjumpers to make room for Tandems. We fly fewer loads but upjumpers get more jumps in because the plane is not half full of tandems on every load (ie.. More room for upjumpers on every load). Please dont believe anything they tell you (or that I tell you for that matter) about other Dropzones... Go see for yourself. The Farm is 1 Mile away. Also if it is convenient.. Go check out Thomaston too. Visit all three and make up your own mind.

I glad you had a great time. Welcome to the Sport. We all hope you stay. ASC does have an Excellent Staff and a great group of people that jump there. What everyone is complaining about here are the deceptive Marketing tactics their owners use. ASC/Skyride is know for having 100`s of websites for dropzones that don’t really exist. On those website they have/had many stolen pictures and text from legitimate dropzones. Other practices they are know for include hidden fees such as "Extra Altitude” Fees and "Big Plane" Fees. These Fees are not charged at other Dropzones. Also other things like thier "No Refunds" policy are very harsh. Other Dropzones will work with you if you cant make your scheduled Jump and atleast give you a partial refund. Other things they have done in the past include.. After a very prominent Dropzone owner in a neighboring state was killed in a Skydiving accident, ASC\Skyride owners called ATT and pretended to be the dead Drropzone Owner and has his 1-800 number redirected to their offices so that they could take his business. This act alone should give you some insight into the character of the Owners. Since This was first thread Started, ASC has changed management and it appears they are cleaning up their act somewhat. Again.. Their Staff and Jumper are Great. You are absolutely correct on that point. It is just their Business practices that have upset so many people. Once you finish AFF (Or before even) come over to The Farm.. We are only a Mile away. Get out and see as many Dropzones as you can and make up your own mind for which one you like best. If that turns out to be ASC.. Great. You can still come over to the Farm after a day of jumping at ASC and socialize. Many ASC Jumpers and staff do that all the time. The jumpers and Staff from both DZ`s get along great for the most part.

There are really only 3 DZ`s left around Atlanta. The Farm - It seems you have already heard enough about that. Great Place, Check it out if you have time. Fun dropzone. SDA (Thomaston) - Great DZ, Known for having a really good Freefly scene but since the Monroe DZ folded up and many of their Jumpers went to SDA. It is easier to find belly jumpers there as well. And then there is ASC. Great people that jump there but owned by the same guys that own Skyride. Honestly, Any one you choose you will have a good time. (But I am partial to the Farm myself)
