    Thanks again everyone for the Birthday wishes. Since I will NOT be at the Farm This weekend (I will be with my daughter who is competing in the state finals One act Play Competition this weekend)... We will have a little get together at the Farm next weekend (11/18) where everyone can smother me with Lavish Gifts and Booze!!

    And please, no panties in a wad about how I don't respect the pioneers of this sport ... anyone who knows me knows that I certainly do. Just pointing out that there are an awful lot of topics of discussion that seem to break down along "generational" lines.) Quote Are you calling me OLD missy?? Some see the sport Choking itself to death with rules and regulations.. The Coach Rating hurt our sport enough.. Now some one is suggesting a "Packer" rating?? No thanks.

    Which Method?? Flat, Pro, Psycho?? Why standardize?? Different things work for different people. Packing is not rocket science. It is a pretty simple process. Lots of different way to do it that are correct. Top skydivers very rarely pack for themselves.. If that is your plan.. Get the top Packers.. (They generally dont have much time to be Skydiving.. Too busy packing.)

    in case you haven’t noticed, This sport is shrinking not growing. I think the fading of the mentoring system is partially to blame. And yes, You’re correct. It is SAD that there are not enough mentors to go around. The Coach rating requirement has alot to do with that..

    NO. Guidelines maybe.. But we have too damn many rules now. And who is going to enforce these Rules?? Too many rules now. Skydiving is a Big Boy sport. We dont need other people doing more thinking for us. Each DZ is free to set thier own rules.

    We used to do metric days all the time in College.. Wake up Friday Morning and not go to bed till sometime Sunday Morning. Then Sleep one metric night (IE.. Sunday Morning till Monday Morning) Basically you end up with a One day weekend.. But not many of us could have handled a two day metric weekend.

    In general I dont think most skydivers want more rules and regulations. There are MANY packing methods (Flat Pack, Pro Pack, Psycho Pack) and all are acceptable. The last thing we want is FAA and/or Other Agency regulating how we pack our mains.

    More like an exchange. And more inline with the traditional Mentoring System that is dying in our sport.

    There is one guy around here that has a Great program I think. He teaches students to pack in exchange for them packing his rig 5 times. Basically he teaches them to pack on HIS rig (Supervising of course) and Jumps it and then has them do it again and again till they are confident in their packing. He gets free pack Jobs, The Students learns to packs and gains confidence in their packs. Best Idea I have seen. Others will just teach you if you ask but I like peanuts plan better.

    I think so.. No one is selling Dropzone Franchises with exclusive rights to any area. As Long as Business are competing Honestly, It is the American way. What makes this different from Skyride is that Skyride uses web sites to intentionally deceive customers about who they are and where they are. As long as both DZ`s are honest about where they are located, More power to them and may the best DZ win.

    No way that thing is accurate.... I got: Balanced. You accept your emotions as normal and are not overly happy nor depressed. You are emotionally balanced and should find peace in the way you deal with life situations. Your emotions are normal and well understood. You see the light in the dark. Yea.. Right!!
