We had a similar situation several years ago at my original Home DZ. Cessna 182, Very Large Jumper that sat on the Step and then tried to roll off (This was at about 3500ft, was supposed to Hop & Pop). Got his leg strap caught on the step and was hanging under the plane. Took about 15 minutes and 3 passes over the DZ to get him unhung. Very dangerous situation as they were starting to get a little worried about the fuel situation and cutting the legstrap was not a good option. Finally the Pilot was able to pull somewhat of a zero-G maneuver while the DZO (Still in the plane) was able to use something to pry the Legstrap free. Jumper landed fine but bruised and shaken. More than just seat belts can get caught.

Opinions vary of what makes an "Event" vs a "Boogie". My Opinion is that you need at least 1 non-typical aircraft (for that DZ) (A Cessna DZ bringing in an Otter or Caravan for example. Or a Larger DZ bringing in a Casa or Skyvan), Designated Load Organizers and optionally some form of after hours entertainment to fully qualify as a "Boogie". Anything less is really more of just an event but like I said.. This is just an opinion. how to organize a Boogie?? line up some cool Jumpships, Find some cool Load Organizers and have something for people to do after hours. "Nice to haves" are also getting some vendors to come out with Demos, Helicopters and/or Balloons and good Food.

The college I went required 7 Credit hours of P.E. for any BA or BS. This was the old Quarter System. For all other courses you earned 1 Credit Hour for each Hour you spent in Class room per week with the exception of PE courses. You spent 2 Hours per week in Class for every credit hour earned. For those of us paying 100% of our own way through. This was a Major pain in the ass. Something I thought was completely useless and worthless. Having to work 3 jobs and take on a full load was plenty. I didn’t need to waste 2 hours a week on something so educational as Bowling, Archery, Fencing, or other such non-sense. Another MAJOR issue I had with this was the "Athletics Fee" that the college charged. This was not a Major university so the Football team was an expense. That meant that every Student was required to pay an extra $200 per quarter as an Athletics fee. In no way did I see this as anything other than a complete waste of money. In-State tuition at that time was only $700 per quarter (Yes, This was QUITE a few years ago), Having a $200 Athletics fee on top of that really cut into money for Books and other necessities.

Now on to a few that may not know how much they mean to me.. People that I have only met a few time but left a lasting impression.. in your case you will HATE VISTA. At least I do. It is nothing but a resourse intensive MAC Lite. When I first started testing my Ap on Vista, it was a major pain. This whole "Run as administrator" concept was a major hassle. Im logged in as Administrator.. of course I want to run this ap as administrator.. Noooooo, You have to go to functions and then select "Run as Administrator. What do you mean I cant modify an ini file??. the search will totally ignore the Program files directory and the windows directory. Never did figure out how to get the search to work at all for these folders. and the "Are you sure?" "No, really are you absolutely sure?" "Are you absolutely completely sure?" not only for every application but every dll you load as well is a MAJOR pain. Trust me.. The more sophisticated of a user you are, the less you will like Vista.

Now on to the one and only (Thank God!!) Turtle. My Boogie partner, Wingman extraordinaire. One thing is certain if Turtle and I are going to the same Boogie... We need at least 1 extra Hotel Room!! The adventure began 3 years ago at the Naughty Cupid Boogie in Sebastian. Of course we had get one more hotel room that night.. Since then almost every Major Boogie I have been to, Turtle and I have been there causing trouble together. In the end, there is no one I trust more. Probably been 8 or 9 Boogies since.. and still seems we always end up somehow overbooked. I never met someone so like me in so many ways and so like the person I want to be in others.
