The resent Fatalities were far from a Newbie swooper. The swooper that collapsed my canopy 40 feet off the ground on final by Carving around me and stealing my air was FAR from a newbie. My point was the most experienced often quickly become the most complacent. Look at the stats, it is not just the newbies (Swoopers) that are the problem. But everywhere is Swoop Area now. Atleast with this there would an area they were told to avoid. Yes, Student will end up where they are not supposed to be. Swoopers will still have to Look before they swoop.. But having the off chance of a student in your swoop area vs having the entire load in your swoop area seem like an HUGE improving to me. In my humble opinion.. Any Aggressive Turn more than 90 degrees on to final that is done with the intent to accelerate landing speed. Then separation in Time. ASC far as landing area size. And you are correct. Not all DZ`s will have room to accommodate all disciplines at the same time. I don’t care who does it, Just long as it gets done. In the meantime, I would not Jump anywhere that allows HPL`s and Standard landing patterns in the same area at the same time and hopefully others will take a stand as well. Sure, If the DZ has a waiver and allows activities that I feel unnecessarily endanger me (And I consider allowing swoopers to land whereever, whenever and however they please as an unnecessary danger to me), I wont jump there. Hopefully others will do the same.

Newbie?? The ones I am most afraid of are the ones with 1000`s of Jumps. They already know it all and couldn’t possibly make a mistake, right? Maybe designate the "Swoop" Area a Little Further up the Beach so that people flying a Standard pattern are not obstacles and/or pylons to carve around. Or let the Swoopers out on a lower pass where none of us Standard pattern flyers are in their way. What happens now? Every where is a Swoop area with the current rules. Last I checked that was the reason people take chances on an investment in a business. To make a profit. And with more profit usually comes better planes, Better Student Gear, Better Packing Facilities, and maybe even a new Swoop Pond. More power to them. As long as they do not have Swoopers using me as a target, I am cool with that. But if they dont have a rules that says Swoopers should not Swoop through Slower Traffic, then they will loose a lot of that precious Business. Jumpers do need to make a stand on this. If your DZ is not addressing this issues, Vote with your feet. Maybe an organized Boycott is what it will take to get DZO`s attention.

I only got a couple Hours with my daughter. Picked her up early Sunday Morning, Stopped by my Moms house because it was her Birthday (was there for all of 10 minutes) and then took my Daughter go drop her off at Oglethorpe University for a Theatre Camp. Felt weird helping her move into a Dorm Room. I kept thinking, it is not time for this yet!! So how many suit cases does it take for 15 year old girl to go away to camp for 7 days? The Answer is 4 very large suitcases.

I would love to be able to say Age just doesn’t matter.. But that would be less than truthful. It does matter. Time takes its toll. Some women stay in shape and still look great after 40 and beyond.. But most do not. Most women in their early 20`s still have the body of a woman in her early 20`s. Nice firm, Tone and Very Sexy. The draw back is that you have to listen to them talk.. And talk.. and talk.. The ideal is to find a Woman that is a little older the still has the Body of a Girl in her early 20`s. Now that is the jackpot. Definitely Tullahoma when they are open. I think they are open one weekend a month. But from trenton, I am not sure they would be much closer. Another DZ about the same distance is Skydive Alabama in Cullman, AL. Another great DZ in the area. Get your License, Travel to ALL the nearby DZ`s and see what you like.

Well actually I just need to get some work done today. So I will not be posting as much as usual.. Now I know soooo many of you will so very disappointed in this, I just want to reassure you that YES indeed I will be back so you can put down the Gun and step down off the roof.
