I agree. I was just trying to prepare him for the screwing he is about to get. My Prediction: lawyer is going to want a retainer, The Ex will get Support set (roughly 20% of his gross income). He may get some visitation rights. The ex will then go after Back Child support.. The Lawyer will then want a Bigger Retainer The EX will win and get most everything she wants and he will just be out alot of money. Welcome to our Great Justice system. Every state is different. Georgia specifically say they are NOT related at all. My brother managed to do the impossible and get custody of his two kids, His ex never paid a dime of support. When he tried to block visitation, Court told him No way!! Child support is not connected to Visitation. Totally separate here. Joint or shared custody would be different as Time spent with each parent does help determine the amount of support paid, But my comment was in reference to one parent NOT paying and then expecting to still see the child. I was in the OP`s exact situation 16 years ago. Never married, No longer involved when the pregnancy was discovered. I filed a "Petition to Legitimize" and requested that the court set child Support and visitation at that time. Spoken like someone that hasn’t been through the system. Mom wants to move 1000 miles away and take the kids? NO problem. dad can see the child as long as they pick up and drop off the child at Moms new house as scheduled. How do You find a Lawyer? (No such thing as a "Good" lawyer) Drop your pants and bend over. First person to run up and shove it in your ass... most likely a lawyer. (If they use lube, maybe they just thought you were cute.. No Lube, Most likely a Lawyer.) Seriously.. Get ready to hand over between 17% to 23% of your GROSS income for the next 12 years or so. Yes, she may be able to hit you for back child support too even though you didn’t know you had a child. As for custody.. Forget it. You may get some visitation rights but beyond that is next to impossible for a male to get custody in most states. BTW in most states Child support and Visitation are completely separate issues and not related at all. Lawyers will gladly take all the money you are wiling to throw at them but none of this will have any effect other than you will get just screwed by the court AND your lawyer. (If I sound a little bitter it is because I have been dealing with this for 15 years now)

YES. They are one and the same. (Skyride is operated out odf a call center in Smyrna GA and ASC is a Dropzone in Cedartown but both are owned and operated by the same people) Thier landing area is tiny. Other local DZ`s such as the Farm and SDA`s Landing area is 5 to 10 times larger and level (unlike ASC`s). They are 20 to 30 miles from Rome in Cedartown. They have a reputation for being very deceptive about where they are. They used to tell everyone that called they were only 20 minutes away no matter where they called from. Do NOT believe a thing you read on their website. they have 100`s of websites for DZ`s that do not even exist. There is nothing exceptional at all about their gear and/or rigs. They used the same gear as all the other DZ`s. I am not trying to imply that they are not safe. They do have good instructors and good gear just like the other DZ`s. The issue with them is the blatant dishonesty of their owners. Do you really want to trust your life to an operation owned by known liars and thieves? Ride and take a look (DO NOT let them talk you out of a credit card number for any reason). After looking at ASC, Drive another 3 miles and check out the Farm. Make up your mind from first hand experience.

Skyride is company owner by the same people that Own ASC (Atlanta Skydiving Center). They have 100`s of website for dropzones that do not really exist all over the country. (See Here for list of Fake Sites http://www.funjumper.com/skyride/). When people search for a local Skydiving center online, They usually get one of these sites. When they call the number on the webpage, the operators pretend to be the local Fake Dropzone and sell them a certificate for Tandems. After they buy the NON_REFUNDABLE ticket, They are then told where they can really use the certificate, Sometimes 100`s of miles away. Example of a Skyride Call: Victim: Is this Skydive Nebraska? Skyride: Yes. Want to schedule a Tandem Skydive. Victim: Sure. Where are you located? Skyride: We dont give the location until we have a reservation. Victim: OK. I want make a reservation at Skydive Nebraska. Skyride: OK. Gimme your CC Number for your Non-refundable deposit. Victim: OK.. Here it is.. 123-123-123444 Skyride: OK. The nearest Dropzone to you is in Kentucky. Victim: WHAT??? NO way. Forget that!! I thought this was Skydive Nebraska. Skyride: Im sorry sir.. Your certificate is non-refundable. Have a nice day. To create all these fake websites, they have been known to steal copy written photos off other legitimate skydiving sites and sometimes even steal the entire template for a legitimate website. Other things they have done include stealing the Phone number of a Dropzone in Tennessee after the DZO dies in a skydiving accident. Skyride called the Phone company pretending to be the Dead DZO and had all the call for that DZ rerouted to their offices. The DZO`s widow did not discover this till an event was scheduled and a regular jumper tried to call the 1-800 number. When they did they discovered they were talking to ASC/Skyride. These guys are pure sleezeballs that will lie, cheat and steal. They have done tremendous damage to this sport. If your DZ thinks these things are OK, you might want to think about looking for a new DZ. The USPA has revoked their group membership because of these practices.
