I played paintball once. If you don't have it "hookuptoaprotrackable", i'd have the thing do calcuations for freefall time based on the altitude and the manuevers (freeflying vs belly flying) like you do on a regular logbook. Also, maybe opening altitude and distance to target. I really like the reminders idea--you could expand it to include reminders for when you will get off currency (for those of us that have winters interrupt our happy jumping). I disagree with Dave simply because just hardship doesn't make a person a hero. A person that overcomes cancer is not a hero. They are resilient as hell and have my respect because from what I understand the treatments are very painful, but they aren't heroes. I guess to me a hero involves a selflessness or dedication to some other person. I agree that policemen, firemen, soldiers, etc can be heroes because they put their life on the line, but so can doctors and teachers. They don't risk as much but what they give can be just as great. I think a hero is more about what you give to another person than what you give of yourself (because focusing on what you give of yourself is slanting it in a somewhat selfish direction). my own opinion, of course. blue skies Tomas "Marge, it takes 2 people to lie.
