holy shit, more like 700$ around here.. damn, i need to pick up rigging and start making a living of it.. I've received flat-rate DHL shipments from Germany with a 5kg max for about $60. USPS will ship 10 pounds to Switzerland in 6-10 business days for $55. People there would probably be a lot better off just shipping their canopies to the states. when i was about to buy a new rig, i was shopping around here for a 2nd hand main; i found a safire2 with around 4-500 jumps on it for i think 1200$.. add in the 700$.. i ended up buying new and STILL saved money.. actually, for a micron, an optimum and the safire2 that i bought all overseas, i ended up saving around 2 grand; i dont like being ass-raped! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Problem is, Sweden's too goddamn cold. On the other hand, the Dutch Belgians have kick-ass chocolate, and the Germans have the best pretty good beer ever. Awesome advice throughout your whole post, Dave. I just wanted to add for the OP that a 1000-jump canopy may need a reline job soon, just as a used car often needs new tires. Figure around $300 for that.

Well....I called up. Spoke to my instructor who i trust and he indicated that it was too windy at 15 mph on the ground and much higher at 5k ft and didn't want to chance it. I trust him. He says it is too windy I beleive him. I'll go sundy. if you took the advice to heart to stop whinning, the world would be a better place, too! now go and start a couple other threads about it.. I made some snide remark about a large womens mass.....she started chasing me down the runway and well you know how these big women are once they start building up momentum there is just no stopping them. are they those skyride-guys!? having a pending gear-deal going with someone that claims to be the master-rigger for this company, and for some reason, it's kinda fishy.. if i google the guys name together with the place he names, i get carried to a rather un-informative website that mentions the above number. i dont trust it for some reason, and i got another guy here that was interested in it first, and for simplicity of transaction, i'll go with him, since things dont rhyme up. if you had a US-citizen that is not only a friend, a senior- and masterrigger that manages a dropzone in the US, which would check the item and confirm to the prospective buyer it was in "good condition", would you still want it to be sent to you? the buyer claims he's the master-rigger at above dropzone.. jesus, i think i'm known well enough and have made several deals with people over here worth about five grand; i think a little trust would be in order, right!? “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.
