  4. you ARE awesome! even on your b-day! happy, happy, happy birthday to you!
  5. fear FINDS the courage in us; for if there was no fear, most of us wouldnt have found the passion that shines through us! i used to climb a lot; and i STILL maintain a GREAT FEAR of heights, still, to this very day.. but getting out at 13k is kind of so unreal, it starts to get ridicilous.. and yes, if our fear starts to shine through us, we'll be enlightened, sooner or later.. yet, we try to get better at this activity/past-time of ours.. and with every jump, it just gets better and better..
  6. just what i'm trying to say..
  7. I agree 100%. Fear is a basic emotion. We are born with it. We can control it, we can overcome it, we can harness it and use it to our advantage....but we cannot ever eliminate it any more than we can eliminate any other emotion. i can only speak for myself; but before i went on with that skydiving, i actually wanted to eliminate all and every other emotion by me; then i starteted that skydiving-thingy.. it all went dwon the thoilet in an instant.. now, i want to skydive more and more, each and every day; so, i kinda eliminated it, yet, i fear the fear the fear.. but hey, i'm friggin' awesome! i love being scared a little of what i'm doing..
  8. So basically you want Chrystal on a Bud Light budget chrystal, like in crystal meth for the price of mexican grass!? yay, i'm all up for that!!! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  9. reading IS good for you!!!
  10. The absence of fear is deadly for it is fear that keeps us alert. It is fear that tells us which path will lead to certain destruction. It is fear that urges us to focus and therefore performing our best. Uncontrolled fear is deadly for in that state fear will cause us to revert to our basic instincts, some of which will allow the worst to happen. It is uncontrolled fear that contolls us instead of us controlling it. Fear harnessed, fear controlled by US will always be an advantage over those who cannot control their fear and those who have no fear. i wouldnt agree on most of that necessarily.. of course, fear controlled by US it's what keeps us alert AND alive (as skydivers i might add); but fear is not who we are; fear is not who, or what we think we are... fear is something to overcome.. and that's what it's about; or how to overcome your hinderance.. lay that aside, and u'll be a better skydiver in NO time.. at least, that's what I believe in..
  11. Fear is a survival mechanism, you're dead without it. I had a couple of KNOW FEAR T shirts printed up a few years back
  12. see, that's WHY i got the book to begin with; i was kinda worried when i got on the plane the first couple times..
  13. we'll talk next time i swoop by your crumply ass on my new rig.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  14. i got the book and that's where i got it from "kinda" originally; i've seen the movie before, and i just really like that quote..
  15. I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.. Only I will remain. ♥ “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. 16. i like my pimp daddy; offers a lot of space for stickers too! makes up for the rainman-look i get when i wear it.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  17. thanks! i'm mainly looking for other suggestions..
  18. Hey, if AndyCopland could get in, anybody can get in! ha, i was wondering about that too, but he's so small, they probably just overlooked him.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  19. yea, pretty much.. my dz goes to 'snore every year in march, for the three weeks, including food, flight, maybe 100 jumps and shopping for stuff that is much cheaper over there than here, coaching from our guys, you get away with 6 grand.. now that i have the new rig already, i probably should make an effort to get my lazy ass over there to jump my ass off, but i fear immigration wont let me in.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  20. curently, i'm almost sold on this one.. i got good experience with asus, i just miss a little of that "extra" performance boost; i dont care really if i can play with it for four or ten hours; i just like surfing, watching videos (eventually editing some), gaming a bit every now and then.. what is important is, it must be TINY; and LIGHT; and yea, it should exceed the performance of the 901 is used to own; a little more storage is cool too, i would prefer SSD, but they're just way to expensive.. i've been looking at the macbook air too, but hey, i dont have 2 grand to shell out on that.. somewhere in the range of 500$ is much more likely.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  21. check the figures i've presented above.. add in jumptickets that are around 40$.. so, i save 2 grand on a new rig, go to the states for 3 weeks and make 100 jumps (instead of paying about 4000$, i could probably jump for 2-2500$); money saved around 4 grand, say 3500$. i could live like a king for say 700$ a week, thats for food and lodging, the plane costs about 1200$ if i dont go cheap, how much have i "saved" now!? 400$? still ahead, and at least double the number of jumps, plus a holiday.. there's a business opportunity for you guys out there.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
  22. do you want me to pack for you ? now that you ask, maybe!? will you be at hellaherb or filmfestival!? i'm at the first for sure, maybe i'll come to the later one.. just for busting your balls and hanging out at your place tough! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Thompson "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." -Yoda
