    I use a Glock 21 .45ACP with hydroshock rounds (about 30 bucks for 15) and a Springfield XDm .40 with 14+1 standard JHP. oh and in case things get real hairy i have a nickel plated SKS 7.62X39. i could list more but i think i look like enough of a nut job so far lol

    The storybehind dry firing as i always new of it is. In older firearms the parts were with price in mind and things were over looked like the strength of the fireing pin. So the theory was that you shouldnt dry fire weapons, as far as modern weapons people want reliability and durability so all parts are made of a higher advanced hardened metal. military weapons have always had harnedned pinds so we are traied in dry fire. I have dry fired my weapon in training lterally thousands of time with no damage. Asfar as my suggestion on getting over flinching you will need an assistant and a range. have your assistant load your weapon for you. now the trick is everytime you take a good position and move through all your steps, but instruct your assistant that they should randomly either load or not load the weapon. so now you THINK that the weapon is loaded everytime so eventually your body gets used to the sudden suprise of the fireing. This worked for me atleast

    I have been on and off now since 2005. i made my first jump in 05 when i was home on leave thn i paid for the entire class. got home thenext year made 14 jumps until season was over hurt my back in late 06-07 and couldnt jump 07 and 08. now im in Iraq again and will be home in 10 and nervous as all shit, but i love it and n matter what wil finish and do my best to learn everything possible. As far as your DZ goes i would say any place that is more concerned about numbers needs to be left alone, thats just bad news. its required at my DZ to do 3 gear checks bfore the jump, 1 when you get the rig, 1 before you enter the plane, and one before the doors open. i love the system cause then you know your gear is good and you reasure yourself so.

    ok i know the difference in the look and all but is there any reason you couldnt get a reserve and use it as a main? or is there a difference structually?

    No worries just keep it up you will eventully get comfy with it. the thing is be afraid in the plane but come go time all thoughts on what needs to be done. i am crazy afraid of flying but when im out and under canopy im golden cause its all me. i only have 15 aff jumps and 35 military jumps and every one of them my brain screams at me and says "dont do it you nut job" but being stubarn i will conqure that everytime and when im poised theres nothing on my mind but what needs to be done so everyone has a safe and fun jump. So keep it up youll do great.

    So i have posted about a want of mine to become a rigger when i retur home from deployment. I have read the rigger handbook that is available from the FAA site, i understand a great majorady of it but im sure i will have to reference to it several times to refresh myself on things. But now what else is available to me to read or really do anything that will continue to help m gain knowlege on the functioality and designs of chutes. Again any info would be greatly appreciated.

    I guess i need this to be clarrified more. In 2003 i had shot and killed a young child who had a plastic Ak-47 you all know the one the kind that is an exact replica of such. I was investigated and found to be in the right. So am i to blame for this?? im sure by some people yes. Dont worry all i have tons of examples for you on this topic.

    dont forget to take motrin... that fixes anything in the army lol i forgot about that one they gave my bud motrin for RPG shrapnel in his leg in 2003. so just pop a few of them youll be good airborne :D

    I found the wing load calculator but im not sure what is a good wing load for a student. basically all i ever see is numbers like 1:1 and i really dont know what they mean so i figure ill ask here and get laughed at quick. thanks for any help.

    I have gone without beer for the last year and have been trying to make up for it. Being a soldier myself i would suggest: what did the medics say when you had your post deployment physical? they should have said if you have anything that may aid in this happening i know i have developed several medical problems from my trips to the box. also.....take a knee, face out, drink water. lol had to throw that in.

    This entire thing has ed into a basic fo or against "capital punishment". does it make a difference if he serves his last days in prison or at home?? no not really hes gonna die...now the thing is instead of wasting 10's of thousands possible 100's by holding this convicted "murderer" (i quote this cause some murderers have some mental defect, while this guy just hates us) in a jail system and giving him food, medical treatments, recreational events so on and so fourth, they should have just exicuted him when he was caught and confesed to the crime.

    *students POV* My main instructor said day 1 "spotting has become a lost art since GPS showed up." "Your not requird to learn it to get licenced." and then he said the thing that made me the happiest since i want to learn as much as i can about this glorious sport:"Its not required unless you get instruction from here, we require you to plan, map, and spot your own check dive, if you dont do it correctly you will fail." though i am a baby in the sport i love the fact that when i jump they allow me to stick my head out the door and make my own judgement on the spot. Of course if im looking through my crooked eye at the time they correct me and i learn. Just my 2 cents on spotting.

    This is a great questions. im a student and take my instructors advice and teachings to heart, but i know in the military (i know total different monster and chutes) we would jump at 800' be around mid 700' when chute deploys and if there was a malfunction by the time you realized it and when to reserve you were anywhere from 500'-300'. like i said i know there completley different and i should go by military experience (which i dont) but i will go with what im tod until i feel im ready to decide myself.

    im all about living on the land, though i wouldnt have made itin the "old days" cause i cant bring myself to trap animals just seems kinda messed up to let them choose: sit there and bleed and wait for whatever to happen or naw your leg off and maybe survive. Im all about the stalking hunt trying to outsmart something that knows that land way more than you do.

    (Of course, people who propose spending trillions of dollars on a useless war are considered heroes instead of dorks by the right wing.) Though i suport the efforts abroad (oviously) in the years i have spent here there is places that could be cut over here that would save billions in 1 year alone. the biggest one most larger bases have civilian fire fighters makeing 6 figures when the army has trained fire fighters, right theres a billion alone.
