Guys I live in the south - we do not eat and drink Cooper here. Pull up the News Paper in Atlanta see how man articles you find on Cooper. We only got the wk end paper in those days. I was busy in 1971 supporting 2 girls and trying to move on with my life - a small town in Georgia. Skyjackings are hardly things the kids and it talked about. We had lessons to do and making all their clothes and mine. I still have the library book with all the notes in it. You know How I aquired the book don't you. I told the library I lost the book - probably left in int Panama City. So I wrote them a check for 25 dollars. The woman who felt the notes in the book were Webers - she is decease - at least there is NO listing for her and she did have some health problems. I have had the notes compared with the inventory records Duane did from the shop and other items he wroter - they are NOT the same. The mark on the map could be Webers. Of course It is highlighted all over the place by myself and Max. the man who wrote the book. With all of the media on Cossey one would think they would have some one contained by now. Georger U are picking bones: I told U from the start I had read about Cooper in 1971 in the newspaper - it was on the 3rd page. World Affairs had the head lines. I did NOT know Duane Weber in 1971 - I was still married to the father of my children. I made NO Connection between Dan Cooper and D.B. Cooper. WHY? Understand the circumstances of when I first heard the name DAN COOPER. I had been in the hospital with Duane 24/7 for 2wks...going home only to shower and change clothes. I was not offered a bed or a comfortable chair - I spent those 2 wks sitting in a hard chair with my feet on Duane's bed. Dan Cooper meant ZERO to me - I didn't even get it when he started in about jumping out of a plane! Hell Georger I had just been told my husband would be dead in 5 days - but he lived for 11 more day. I was NOT grasping what he was say at all. I made calls to friends and relative - and one friend came by that next day. She asked what he was talking about and at that time he was on the thing about putting 164K in a bucket and he couldn't find the bucket. U are correct - I made NO connection between D.B.Cooper and Dan Cooper...until after he died. 1 yr and 2 months after he died. Had I not started dating I would not have known even then. Remember I had started to go out and had met a man - but decide the relationship was not for me. So I started to talk about Duane - that way he would not feel put down and just think I was not ready to move on. Instead of being put off - after I told him the things Duane said in the hospital - he was the one who told me I needed to look at D.B.Cooper. 2 Wks LATER before I went to Panama City I had to CALL him to ask what the name of the man was. I checked out the only book in the library about D.B.Cooper they had - it was a mostly fictional book, but a few pages in I am on the phone to the FBI. I made NO connection between Duane and McCoy - it was just an incident that happened to have happened in a town we move to. I don't know WHY Duane pointed out where McCoy died, but he did. I do not remember the details of the conversation. Since after 17 yrs my mind is now tainted by the things I read - so I am NOT clear on exactly how much he told me about McCoy. I am sure IF I went to my memos of 15 yrs ago - you would find variations - that is what contamination of evidence is all about....it can be verbal also. He did tell me a little about the man - but how much of it I have learned since then and what I knew then - I would NOT venture to state. I thought maybe he had an accident with the car - but the car was OK. He acquired a book and he rarely read, but I DID not know it was about COOPER. I never got to read it. That was NORJAX. He told me it was about an old hijacking and not something I would be interested in. Later when I asked him if he had finished the book - he said one of the guys in the office had it. So I never got to read that book until AFTER I had CONTACTED the FBI in 1996. Mr. H sent me a copy in the mid to late fall of 96 - and only then did I get to read it or know what it was about. I thought the book was about Truck Hijacking. He didn't want me to read the book and he didn't want me to see the composite in it. He knew he had said some things in 1979 but he didn't know if I remembered them. I think he did - because he knew my recall was pretty damn good. Not anymore - I struggle now. 1. Mentions Cooper in 1979 in WA. "That where Cooper Walked out of the Woods". 2. Shows me a house in Va. Bch in 1983 (approx) - a man who Hijacked a plane...named McCoy. NO mention made of Cooper. 3. In 1985 approx gets very Drunk and talks about being responsible for a man dieing...because he tried to copy something he did. I didn't know he was talking about McCoy - he was very drunk. I am talking about writers who HYPE things without doing the research - like yourself. I know you didn't see that one coming, but I don't have time to be nice - I have a mission I have to finish - but you did come here and try to get involved the right way and learn from those who knew the facts and had studied the case. Robberrtt! You know how and why I say that. It was the last wk of Sept or the first day of Oct. 1979 the money was found Feb. 1980 - and Duane doesn't let me see a program on TV or read the newpaper. The only articles I got to read were AFTER he had left for the South - supposedly Ga or Al. By then I had forgotten his actions and I was busy trying to get ready to move and also selling a little insurance. My daughers birthday party and her graduation from high school and prom. March, April and May I was pretty busy with these things - and didn't pay a lot of attention to the news. Then when Duane lets us know where he is - he said he would be flying in for Donna's graduation, but then he chose to drive. He asked my daughter a lot of question about one of the teachers. Check out the names of the teachers there in 1979 and I think you just might get the drift. At the time I didn't give these things a second thought. Then in 1995 he makes a confession that I didn't understand. In 1996 I find out who DAN COOPER was - yea, I am a Southern Hick - I knew hardly antything about Cooper. I remembered the remarks he made in 1979 on that trip to WA and then I found Max's book. When I read a book and before I was on page 13, I was on the phone to the FBI. I think that was May 25, 1996 - the FBI didn't even believe me - they ignored me. I found a PI who helped me get a letter to Ralph Himmelsbach and he encouraged the FBI to talk to me. Until then they treated me like I was some kind of freak! The agent who came to see me didn't even know who Cooper was. He had to read up on him before our visit. The damn book I was reading was 95 percent fiction, but enough facts were there that the things that happened in CO and on that trip to WA and the strange things Duane said and did over the yrs. screamed at me - Oh my God he was Cooper! One of the school teachers had the same last name as one of the stewardess. I had thought it was Mucklow but Florence's husband was a teacher also (football). I found little to nothing about Tina's husband, but some about Florence husband. My daughter could not remember the names of the teachers and coaches other than the ones she studied under. Someone on this thread did a little searching into that matter, but we came up with nothing that was similar - yet, we could not obtain a full registar. At any rate he did ask about the teachers and since Duane never asked about her teachers before that was ODD. I would not look at this at that time as ODD in its entirety, but when I found out who Dan Cooper was - it made all of the things that happened from Feb 1980 to July of 1980 make sense. Since I had never had a man to seemingly love me and be so attentative the way Duane was - I guess I did not look at who he really was, but I knew nothing about his past - so I had no reason to suspect him. OH! Well, I do not know why the answer to your question led to the above post, but I will let it stand. I might not remember to tell it again and I might not get a chance to tell it again. I don't KNOW what Duane did when he was out of my sight at Tena's bar. he had told me he has spent some time in Wa. I figured it was all about private memories and I did not intrude in those. I know he was comtemplative and he seemed calm. He was adamate I stay in the car. I did NOT get out until he came back to the car at the parking lot. Then I got out to stretch and he told me a few things about that area. I did NOT question WHY he wanted to be a the river alone. I may have asked because that is when he told me about knowing a man who used to live in Portland. He told me a little about the area across the river. He told me he had one more stop to make at and I could go to the girls room there and get us some snacks at the machines - he knew exactly where they were. You could NOT see them from the front. He told me the restrooms and the office was on my left and the machine down to the right. There was at that time a way thru ot the back. He told me that is where we would be....again he is staring out at the river. Why the damn paper bag. No need in telling that story again I have told it till most of you know it by heart. NO I do not know what he did at Tena's bar, but considering after the fact the money was found there and he gets really nervous and leaves me at the most important part of my daughter's life and goes to the south. It was quick and it was fast - I didn't even know his job was in any jeopardy. Duane did NOT discuss things with me. I continued to work some of the lead and some of the last communications with the office in Denver came from me - returning leads and asking for a letter asking them for a confirmation of the communication. Remember Duane made a side trip to OR before we got to Vancouver. I could NEVER make JT understand this at all. That was when Duane made the remark about it being a candy wrapper. 2. The second stop was an area just short of being directly across from the PDX. That is where he had me stay in the car - instructions "Stay in the car". This was the point he walked down to the river and I could not see him and then later he came up - he had the snow shovel with him...and he popped the trunk - it was positioned where I could NOT see what he was putting in or taking out. 3. The stop at the GREEN tank - I get out of the car with him. He didn't do anything there . 4. The Tena's bar....stop - I stay in car. He goes down to the river ALONE and out of my site behind the house. 5. The RED LION - this is where he threw the paper bag in to the river off of the pilings. ================== Hopefully I have listed these so you guys can keep it straight. I won't be around to get it staight when the authorities decide to let the light shine on the real identity of Cooper. I expect they will let him ride off into the sunset with one of the very 1st suspects - Coffelt. Amazing when I mention Coffelt - the FBI nor some of the Cooper posters have a clue who Coffelt was....a suspect long gone and who no one remembers other than myself and the man who wrote about him. It is purported the man did some programs on Coffelt, but I have no verification of this. Also been unable to make contact with him for ages - he maybe deceased or in a nursing home. He did NOT sound well the last time I spoke to him. His name is one that drifted into the back ground - writer and TV commentator. I am not qualified to have an informed opinion of his claims. But I do know that the validity of handwriting analysis is dubious at best and worthless at worst. Also, his odd videos seem sketchy as well. It's been two months...where is the big announcement?? Yes, I did reply. This was my response. OOPS! Sorry! This is the wording I understood and what Kaye seemed to say - I interpreted to mean the money was only on the beach or deposited there within a yr of it being found. Too many of us are interpreting it to mean what WE think it means. Kaye came to the thread and made a post for clarification, but I do not know how to search for it. He left margins in that statement - and if I was in his position I would have done the same thing. I was at Tina's (Tena's ) bar in 1979 with Duane Weber. He went down to that beach by himself and out of my sight. I have repeatedly asked and never got an answer about there being a small building on the beach near the fence and just behind the edge of the house from my standing point. I had been told by Fazion in 2001 that there used to be a shed there - they stored equipment they used on the beach and I assumed with the boats. This shed was on the river side of the wire fence. We were there about 7 months before the money was found! Less than a yr before it was found. The key is were was the money before it was put on the beach. It was buried in WA or OR somewhere in the area along the Columbia River and Duane retrived it in 1979 and it was damaged - so he made several deposits along the river. Anyone finding old rotten tattered 20's on him - would have put him in prison. Actually it was a pretty good idea because then they authorities thought Cooper died in the Columbia. It was a pretty good idea. What else can you do with molded unspendable money? Duane drove fast and he drank a lot - so his risk of being pulled over were pretty high. He couldn't burn it with me there...and hell who knows what went thru his mind. He was always the "Crook" who ended up getting caught. Remember that in Treasure Isle in 1958 when asked his occupations - he said "Crook, I guess". Duane did some really dumb things! WHY none of us will ever really know! I just know he could be the sweetest lovingest guy on the earth, but then there was another side to him that was scary! He covered up his fear by doing stupid crazy things...some of which an old friend told me about. Duane Weber was a complex personality. How many sales trainers would get up in front of a group of agents he worked with when asked what their opinion was about the NEW restrictions on how the leads would be worked. Duane made history with the company with his actions and they were addressed yrs later when they presented him with the Manage of the Yr Award in St. Martin just as he was going out on disablility. I had never heard the story and asked later if it was true - it was true. Duane had gone to the front of the room where the Regional and others out of Seattle were sitting and leaned over and FARTED! He left the room! They got the idea - when he was retired on disability it was WITH THIS SAME COMPANY. He left them several time, but they ALWAYS took him back. Heaven only knows WHY! He did work hard and he made the production and everyone like him - OBVIOUSLY since the rehired him at least 3 times after he - FARTED in their face. Duane was CRAZY. OF COURSE - charter is being selective and note how his posts directed at you for information state tie/tac. That is an old journalist & police tactic used on witnesses of crimes. Watch what he does with that! I see it coming - writer claims the Tie tac and the tie were purchased at J.C. Penneys. Maybe they were, but probably NOT as a set! At one time I had the name and now I have lost it again....old age and not writing things down! So much of what I have not told the thread is on paper and in my head, but I haven't made somethings public like the identity of this man. His first name was real weird - an Indian name I think. This person contacted Margie Boule when the article ran in 2001, but like me she didn't think it meant anything. She gave me lots of contact information - like the night Clerk and some witnesses...but for some reason this one we both glossed over. Then low and behold his name POPPED up and I knew I had the right guy and it was the same guy who contacted her trying to find me. This man died around 2004, but NOT before asking the FBI thru a 2ed and then 3rd party to help him obtain - my mind won't let me remember the name of the documents that would have protected his identity. He had information for the FBI, but did NOT want them to prosecute him. I believe all the man wanted to do was tell them who Cooper was, but he was afraid they would try to incriminate him. He never got that amnesty (finally remembered the word). Was told it had to go thru DC and not the state of WA.). All the man wanted to do was tell them he recognized the man who claimed he was Dan Cooper....and had known him from the past...in WA & ID & or OR. The name was NOT the same, but he knew the face. Needless to say he was afraid of being incriminated! I don't think he had anything to do with the crime, but if there was more than one it would have been this man. Both of them took what they knew to the grave. This name was also the same name as the one Duane told me and for some reason even today I cannot retain that name in my vocabulary. Georger, you KNOW the man I am referring to! Some one briefly posted his obit and then took it down. Whoever posted that KNEW - that was the person Duane was talking about and hoped it would trigger my brain. It did, but I didn't know what to do with what I had at that time. Like the man who wanted amnesty - no one would have believed me, but for yrs on this thread - I had tried to pull that name out of my memory and could not. Perhaps it was NOT meant to be - perhaps even in death someone is protecting and trying to do no harm. IF this was the same man and I do believe it was - he probably had NOTHING to do with the crime - just reconized the face, but not the name. His own reputation might have been tainted - and therefore he didn't want anyone to think he had anything to do with this - as it would have harmed his family and his security. NO he didn't recognize him from the composites, but the new article that Margie did (there were 2 of them) in 2001...not sure on that yr right now....not digging up the copy she sent me of what she was writing. I never got an actual copies of the new articles so I do NOT know what pictures she used. Would be nice to have hard copies of both stories - the actual newspaper articles. One of the names was something like Neustel, Nuetel or a sound alike names such as Knutson. Duane talked about this man in WA. He even pointed to an area the man lived in. he also told me he had a friend buried in a cemetery there - but did NOT tell me the name. I do NOT know what name to look under...and uncertain where the cememtery was - just that it was in Washougal, but the one I found did not look like the one I saw in 1979 - so there is still a puzzle there and why I want to go back so very very much. Finding that grave and who Duane knew is very important just to me and for no other reason than just knowing. If there was 2 men involved - did Duane bury him after he died of his injuries - or did they both leave alive. How do 2 people keep a secret - I guess if you knew you would spend the rest of your life in prison it is pretty easy! I may never know the truth, but I feel if I went back to WA one more time and had individuals to do some research - I might find out who Duane KNEW and who was buried there...I believe there could be two bodies in one grave! Was there a funeral scheduled in the Washougal area for the 24th or 25th ot 26th. Was a grave dug and covered awaiting a funeral - it would have been easy to have put a body in a grave that had been dug and put a light layer of dirt over it...the casket of the other person would have been lowered without their even looking to see if the grave had been tampered with. If the area was a place Duane his friend knew very well it would not have been a problem at all. His voice choked and he said no more on the subject. This is why I feel confidnet about Duane being Cooper being on the ground, but woudl NOT explane his ning mare - in 1977. Maybe why he had to go back to feel whole agan. Duane was a sentimental jerk. I is just how he would have andled it. I they found Cooper they would go lookin for the money and or anyone the jumper knew. It is the only other senario that fit ssith the situation. Robert go back and read the post I made just before this one. Actually read it and digest it. Read it throughly. I am absolutely NOT afraid of anyone finding and proving who Cooper was. It is easy to figure out who wasn't Cooper when certain suspects come up - but the FBI has NOT been able to definitely rule out Weber, with the information they have on Cooper or Weber or Collins. The problem with Weber is he was just OFF the charts for 6 yrs - the FBI has NO explanation for that - no prison records, no employment records - Zilch! His associates during that time also have Zilch on file. Ed Huran and Tommy Gunn - they were real people just like Duane - but they didn't exist from 1962 to 1966....so what were they involved in and did Duane use the knowledge he acquired to commit the crime of the century - if he did their hands are tied. If the FBI could prove Weber was NOT Cooper - don't you think they would have provided me with that infomation a long time ago to make me go away! They haven't because they can't! Sure they could say prints don't match (if they had a decent set for Cooper) or the DNA doesn't match (if they knew they had Cooper's DNA). This is the problem - if the DNA and prints were viable and they did NOT belong to Weber - who did they belong to? Evidently someone Duane knew and was close to - otherwise how did Duane end up with his plane ticket, the bank bag and why did he confess to a crime that I knew little to nothing about. YOU see I cannot erase my memory no matter how hard I try. I held that plane ticket in my hand and I held the bank bag in my hand....if Duane was NOT Dan Cooper as he claimed then who was Duane in contact with during those yrs. Did Duane find that stuff in a shed he cleaned out in AL or FL? Was the man already dead and Duane obviously knew what he had. That just doesn't fit. Since he took me on that trip in 1979 and the things he showed me and told me - then fit with the things that he did between 1990 and 1995 culminating with his saying "I'mmm Dannn Cooooper!" There are only 2 conclusions - Duane was Cooper or he was with him and buried him. Frankly I believe that if they ever find out who Cooper was - it will be Duane Weber or someone he was close to. Face it if there was a man on the ground and one in the air - that would explain Duane's obsession with the communications part of it and all those towers he took me to all in the flight path. How he knew every airstrip, every grave yard, the power lines, the pipelines, the roadway with no map, every tower eery stream of water. No man knows all of that stuff if he did NOT live there for a pretty decent period of time. Duane named people - the names of which I would now have to look up...because my memory is starting to fade - and names & numbers seem to be fading pretty fast. Robert, thank you for the advise and often you and I disagree, but I have never ever gone into the attack mode with you and / or with others (exception JT). I might be wasting my time, but I have had a belly full of this kind of individual in the last 6 months. If I sound silly defending the credibility of you guys and myself then so be it. You and Homid and others have done some excellent research...I do NOT want to see any of it trashed even if I do NOT agree with it all - the technical stuff I leave to you guys. I just ask stupid woman questions in that respect. My part of this is telling about the things I remember and what Duane told me. My memories do NOT mean Sxxx, but the research you guys worked hard to compile should not be made light of. Not Silly - just being protective of everything that has been accomplished on this thread. Read back from the time the man came to the thread - his motive is not good. He has put himself in CHARGE (like his handle). He is deliberately stating things in a manner that he can use to write a book or utilize the work you guys have done in a manner you will not be happy with. He is using you guys to CREATE his own version of Cooper....note how he composes his post. He makes his statements as facts - go back and note he is leading you guys and you are NOT going to be happy with the end result! What he ends up will not be conjecture - but be published or made public as FACT. This man is a TAKE CHARGE person and he has a reason to word things the way he does. He led you right into one of the posts - getting you to agree he was right. That is all it will take to discredit anything you have done and what you are really saying. This man is not one you play games with or banter with - this man will destroy everything you have ever tried to accomplish on this case. My opinion of you is based on yrs of dealing with individuals trying to develope their own story - you are feeding on these guys - you are leading them around like they have rings in their noses. I have NOT read anything you have brought to the table that was your very own - you take their words and you LEAD them in the direction of the slaughter house. A lot of that has gone on for 18 yrs now and after a while you just start to read thur the wannabes and the writers looking for a story....they don't care if the facts are correct - they just want to tell a good story that gets attention. They don't care about who gets hurt or if the crime is ever really solved. They pretend to be what they are not. They pretend to have knowledge they do not have. Opinions in this thread I hope are based on facts. You based - for instance - the drug on WHAT? YOU have NO evidence a certain drug is used - but, you go about this as though it is FACT and IT is NOT FACT and YOU cannot PROVE the STATEMENT. You take control of a subject like the drug and then you think you own it. You claimed it was FACT - prove it was FACT before you start to BUILD a story using it as FACT! Quote the reference from the FBI it was a specific drug. If that information came from BRUCE it is his own conjecture and not fact. Produce a statement from the FBI that specifically indicates the drug was used! Then you are at liberty to make the statement you did. Not everyone gets to talk to Curtis Eng and you might be talking to what I call a mouthpiece - but they actually have very little knowledge of the crime....they will answer NO questions. EVIDENTLY you do NOT research a DAMN thing. Duane was dismissed based on PRINTS alone and the did NOT know if the particial prints they had even belonged to Cooper. The prints taken came from the aftway and are smugged. "They may have been there since the plane was built". That quote came from someone who has a right to make an opinion statement...FBI. The DNA the FBI requested many many yrs later. I had remarried and had NOTHING other than a valuable watch I was sure had his DNA on it. I gave them some stuff I didn't even know if Duane ever even touched. He died in 1995 and they did NOT request any DNA until 2003 and they DID NOT TEST the DNA until 2007. I am a clean ahololic. Nothing get by me that is not cleaned and cleaned. The items I gave him the Christmas before he died, I do NOT believe he even used them. I am the one who unpackaged them and put them in his closet - but have NO knowledge he even tried them on...referring to slippers. I tried to give them to a friend - he is ex-miltary - surely the ID's his prnts on the items. Some of the tape he liked to play - but I had cleaned them off one by one. There was a couple of pipes - but they had been in my mouth and in a friends - I did NOT send them the ONE pipe I knew Weber used - it meant too much to me. None of the items were returned until 2008 and I never received a report on them. I have offered the only reliable DNA I have of Cooper and which is in the expansions of a VERY expensive watch... I will allow them to swab but not to take from me. The items they did NOT test until 2007 because the AGENT forgot to remove the report on the items. He called me frantically, but he would have gotten that report back over my dead body. It was just who did what test and when - not an actual DNA reading. Duane had been dead for 1yr and 2 month before I knew who Dan Cooper was or understood what he was talking about in the hospital in 1995. It was 2003 yrs they asked for DNA and 2007 before they tested it. THEREFORE take YOUR DAMN statement back - He was still a credible suspect as late as 2007. If Weber was NOT a viable suspect - WHY did the FBI keep his most recent prison record and mug shots out of the media. Even kept them from me....and I BEGGED for the pictures and the file. I BEGGED right here in the thread in public when Carr was here. You were NOT with Duane & I on that trip - I know what he told me and I know what he told me in the hospital and I have files the FBI does NOT even want to see. Over the last 18 yrs I have met many many people like you - those looking for a story or that have reasons to hide the past of the government. YEA! This goes back to government cover-ups. I was WARNED to leave it be by an individual who threatened me and by others who told me I was opening a can of worms that could be deadly. I have dealt with individuals like you before. I like Bruce, but his tactics are NOT very good....I have told him he would make a good writer for the ENQUIRER! I like Bruce, but he is a bull in a china closet type reporter and I have never forgiven him for what he did to Tina and her family. Since you are such good friends with him - why don't you ask him. Robert99 is using a statement for ONE FBI agent and information he obtained from JT. The story I heard was they did NOT want to disclose the expected landing area so that the public would NOT be all over it and destroying evidence. JT kept telling me that Washougal was not where Cooper landed and then yrs later he reversed it. I have gone around the mountain with him for many yrs. If Washougal (not just the river) as JT claims was the real target then WHY did the FBI diss me when I kept talking about Lake LaCAMES? Well JT is the one who kept saying I said this or that - and I didn't even have a DAMN map. THE ACTIVE FBI never actually talked to me about the things Duane showed me and told me in in WA in 1979. THEY listened to JT - because JT needed to redirect them - WHY do you think he was all over me until 2001 when I went to WA and came back and stood up to him. The FBI never listened to me at all. They never heard the stories I told to Mr. J and JT.....AFTER my 2001 trip. All I had prior to that was the FALSE information JT wanted me to have and because if anyone was going to FIND Cooper it had to be JT. WHY would such man tell me there WAS no body of Water north and to the West of Washougal? THINK! My original story centered around a body of water I thought was a River. I was ADAMANT it was NOT the COLUMBIA or the LEWIS, but JT repeated and told what HE wanted people to hear from me - it was essential to shut me up. WHY? Hell if I know. I do NOT believe Cooper LANDED just North & West of Washougal, but it was his escape route to make a connection with another party. WHY JT has vehelmently disclaimed any knowledge of Green Mt. The one not far from Washougal - NOT the one near Ariel. The top of the mt or hill that looked like a ghostly TREE cementary in 1979 with a wire fence and a wood gate. It was at that point that Duane told me about the power lines intersecting near there and how they were pararell and that they intersected with the pipelines. Remember Duane told me about the pipelines and the power line and where this crossed the Columbia...near the Marina. The Marina has since be moved but I found where it used to be and you could see the old power line in 2010. All the things Duane told me were actually there...across the river is where a small airport was near an industrial area. ALL the things Duane told me and he showed me....were actually there. Lots of changes, but I let my mind take me back to 1979 and that trip. The story he told me was all there. HOW if I was telling JT this in 1996 did he get me on the Lewis River - and then later on the Columbia.....all of that is in this thread - the horrible phone calls and the stress.....I was treated like a prisoner of WAR....and mentally and emotionally beaten. Yes Cooper did land NORTH of the area and it is all there. The rails and the intersection of the train and then the places he told me about below there. He told me that when the power lines and pipe line had no undergrowth you could walk for mile and mile....one of those lines takes one to Green Mt. and I went over and over that in this thread - but JT kept beating me up. WHY is he now tooting the WASHOUGAL area - he is just a little to far EAST in his thinking. I kept telling him Cooper landed above 500 or whatever those road are called East of 500. I have played with the different theories. I do KNOW Duane told me he hid something at what I now know to be basketflats behind a shed at a tower. I surmised he got there by RAIL and there was a logging rail North and East of that location. Due to sighting I had been told about - and the old Logging Bridge, I have played withe the theory about the pump cars because he mentioned them and that could have been how he to Basket flats. Since he mentioned the sign in Heisson where the train slowed down - I think that is how he got to Basket Flats. He had 2 choices at that time. He could jump the next rail and go right back at them in Vancouver or he could head down a trail toward Camp Bonneville - he told me about every hill and knob from Heission to Bonneville. I would surmise now he stayed to the East of Bonneville because he talked about a place at the most Eastern end and then South ofsomeone he knew who had a place there. Do you know that a road very very close to this was named Cooper Rd? Yea, I want to go back one more time - I have to go back. Now I can no longer remember the name of the little areaa, but it is in some of my earlier post - but NOT one soul heard me because it was during the time that JT was here and before he was here. Worlds Greatest Jock Carrier. Viet Nam they used the same tactics smoke jumper used and then on landing they did a cut-a-way. Not sure that is the correct terminology, but it was how the jumper carried the equipment he would need as soon as he hit the ground. To depend on a drop in a fire - they could not do. The immediate equipment and life substaining things went down with them. Yes, there were drops of other equipment, but they need more than a chute when they hit that ground. Knowing how to do it was a matter of life or death if they got separated from the equipment drops. Somewhere I have some old pictures of how the smokejumpers did it. They had the rope short to start with and then as the neared the ground they equipment was separated from them so they were not injured....by the supplies they took down or tangled in a tree...by the connecting rope. I told the FBI after JT made his accusation if they had PROOF Duane was elsewhere then to provide me with it - as I had found nothing. The agents have NEVER made any such claims. The only PERSON who ever ranted about that was JT and he made it up! In 2001 when I went out to WA with the TV. program they took me to all the wrong places. JT was supposed to be there and he wasn't. I had a student who had only been in WA for 2 yrs as a GUIDE! They took me every which way but right. I arranged to stay and extra day with the airlines, because some people in WA wanted to help me. It was 2 sisters, a sister-in-law and one of their sons who a LAW ENFORCEMENT officer. They intended to take me to another locations when I told the young man that I wanted to go to Washougal first. Before they picked me up a woman I had met on the river the day before with the crew called my room and asked it I would come by her place - she wanted to show me something. All of us went. We picked her up and she told us where to go. When we got out of the car she proceeded to walk down to the river ahead of me....and I saw exactly what I saw when Duane went to the river across from the PDX. This was amazing. What she showed me I will never forget as long as I live....she had listened to me when I told her on a happen chance meeting while withthe crew a description of what I witnessed in 1979. I would never have met her if I had NOT walked (actually ran) away from the crew in 2001 alone and frustrated because they were NOT showing me the places I remembered from 1979. I was getting no where with the crew. Other than Dollars Corner they were of NO value in my search for the truth. Of course JT had a hand in that... After we took the woman back to her home I asked the driver to take me to Washougal and described what I was looking for. HE did and I REMEMBERED. We drove into Washougal and when we got there and before we went across the bridge I asked him to go East and there was a cememtary just where I said it was - the Crew could find the cemetary and JT told me it did NOT exist. It was ALL there. After the people helping crossed the bridge in WashougalI told the driver to go West to our left. When we did this I asked what was long the trees - it was the WAshougal river and I was watching carefully letting my memory guide me and I then told him to make a right turn. At that time he said if I had not told him to make the turn we would have dead ended quiet some ways down that road. We turned right headed North - I was feeling a bit skeptical, but then I saw the farm land for some REASON I noted a road sign - I started to scream turn turn turn. The driver then told me if he had not turned there - the next body of water would be the Lewis River. JT told me what I describe to him did NOT exist at all, but it did and my memory alone took me to it. After we turned there was the lake (I had thought the lake was a river - it was long and narrow in 1979) . In 2001 it was looking more like the lake I was told it was. We found the point were the cabins used to be - but in 2010 when I went back the point was not there - it was basically under water and the building that was on it was gone. I won't tell the rest of the story because it is in this thread a couple of time already - but, it PROVES with witnesses that JT is the liar and not Jo Weber. Therefore Mr Robert99 when you make statements about me with NO bearing just to discredit me - be very careful what you say and know that I will defend myself as long as I am alive and able to do so! No one other than the power that be - death and disease and time will erase my memories of that trip with Duane Weber and the things he told me and the points at which he made those statements. I did NOT want to impose of the people everything - and I could not delay my return to FL for another day. It would be 2010 before I could go back and then I found more - it was difficult because of all of the developement but I found most of the places that Duane took me and JT was completely wrong - yet, he called me the liar over and over and the he found me on this thread and the harassment would start all over - I had 5 yrs of peace with myself and my memory. My trip in 2010 was the final thing, but I wish I could have stayed longer because it was in the last few days things came together and ther were other places I needed to go - but time and money said I had to come home. I could not afford to stay another day. That trip cost me $5,000 dollar that I could ill afford - but I do NOT regret one cent of that. . First I ever heard of there being any recordings. Language like that being said out loud when the passengers were on board could have caused other passengers to panic and/or attack him. Cooper had a strong voice, but I am sure he would NOT have raised it until the passengers where gone. THEN he would have made his demands known in that kind of terminology.
