What is your excuse for seeking whatever it is YOU are seeking or your excuse for you being in this thread? For 17 yrs I have tried to get the FBI to REALLY look into Duane Weber's past - not just the surface search they did. I have gone below the surface and produced things that raise eyebrows. Not just to this thread as most of what I have been doing has been shared with "others". I only recently let you guys know I have been working on the Derry thing - because it was time as I had done as much as I could alone. I had hinted at this in the past. Seems like there are a SOME of you who do NOT want certain things to surface. Namely an individual in TX. I don't know who some of you REALLY are - just characters on a thread and some are genuinely interested in this case being solved. MatthewCline you have produced a lot of trivia I had access to yrs ago - so WHAT is your Excuse or Reason for being here? Throwing out the trivia and actually persuing the truths seems to be difficult for some of you. MattewCline - what have YOU contributed to this thread and to the search for Cooper's identity? 90% of you are here only to be here or just curious. The other 10% are here seeking what they can find. By dropping what they know or think they know - hoping someone else just might know what the missing links are or accidentally find a new clue within all of the garbage. Some are here just to promote themselves and to see how much garbage some people will actually feed off of...such as BK. There are those who come here because they are curious and would like to see this case solved. Other come here to make themselves seem important and relevant to this case. I am here because I lived what I have told and I want to know why and how - Duane would relate these things to me. He had NO idea I would absorb so much of what he told me over our 17 yrs together. He was frustrated when he actually tried to tell me about himself - because I had lost touch with the past and was only concerned about OUR life and what he was going thru with the kidney disease and facing his own death. He never seemed to be afraid - he made the decision to end his life - no one else made it for him. I only wish I had listened more to what he did tell me about his life - This thread helped me to realize he had told me about his life in the 3rd Party. This was confirmed when the St. Pete, FL. article was made available by someone on this thread - then and only then did I really understand he had actually told me about HIS life over the yrs. Georger, that was a pretty decent post and pretty accuate except for the laugh. Blevins is perplexed and so am I by all of this. I feel sorry for him and do know how he feels. I got MYSELF into this and only because I wanted to know the TRUTH about Duane Weber. Belvins got swept up by Porteous. Things do add up regarding Weber, but the FBI will never EAT crow regarding any suspect and you can almost bet on that. No one, NOT even the FBI has posted the note with the sets of numbers on it "If you break the code you can find me". Was the concept of this NOTE a hoax also? It was supposedly sent to Reno. The numbers were in code and stood for both Duane's Navy and Army records. Perhaps that CODE letter was a hoax to see where I would go with it. I did NOT know about the "coded" note until this thread....therefore I do NOT know if it existed or if someone was yanking my chain. Strange the numbers were a combination of Duane Navy and Army numbers. In the back of Duane's address book - a metal one with a flip opening on it. Before I knew who Dan Cooper was it had been taken to the Thrift Store and the contents destroyed. I had written down a series of number and a phone number in Chicago. I asked what it was about and he told me it was a phone number I am supposed to call if I ever get in trouble. Year's later I tried to call that number and it was an apartment building in Chicago. The man who answered told me he just worked there - and they had several residents. He would NOT provide me with any names. Was nice, but abrupt. A set of numbers and letters were also written on the page. Duane had told me it was a code he was supposed to use. I probably shrugged my shoulder and went on doing what I was doing. Not realizing the code and the phone number went together at that time. I wish I had not thrown and gave so much away, but he had been gone for a yr and I needed to move on... Well, it was only a couple of weeks later I found out who DAN COOPER was and my world was upside down only 1 or 2 days after making what was at that time one of the highest scores ever made on the State Real Estate Exam. Yes, I can. Can You give a logical or coherent explanation of WHAT you are doing on this thread? I am here BECAUSE my husband confessed to the Deed. My research into his background coupled with our trip to WA and the many other things he told me over the 17 yrs. Things he told me in 3rd person was ACTUALLY Duane's way of telling me about HIS life... I nor this thread have been able to PROVE he actually ever lied to me. He just used the 3rd person in telling me about his life (which was evident from the many things I did find). In fact this thread FOUND the St. Petersburg article. The FBI sure didn't tell me about it. WHY? Because it put a kink in the what the FBI claimed! It made his prison record - QUESTIONABLE. Duane's father moved to CA in 1943 from Ohio with the assistance of an old friend or friend of the family. The 2 photos may explain this research. Also NOTE in Ohio Duane's Father was a machinist. He made and repaired airplane parts. I needed and still need to locate a photo taken around 1933 to 1943 of a young man assisting Derry on the ground with one of his chutes. I needed a complete history backgound of Derry....family, friends, school associates and business associates - times and dates. It is not just about Duane, but about the brother and his associations and those of his father. Duane had spoke about Derry, but only in passing....it was early on and not in relation to Cooper - just a general conversation during our marriage. I connect Derry and Duane's family I put Weber in a chute or enough knowledge to do the JOB! Need to find the history of Duane's father in regards to his military records. Need to know who the other adult woman is in the photo - family photo Duane Treasured because of the memory associated with it. The photo was taken from what I can tell around 1935 or earlier(judging by the size of Duane and his brother). I believe that in the time frame there may have been an aerial show in CA, but so far have found nothing. Hence WHY they would have taken a trip to CA in that time frame. Duane appears to be about 10 yrs old, the sister about 16 and the oldest brother about 21-23. I am not good at judging age in a photo. Cannot afford a private eye as the investigation is too intensive and would require LOTS of travel and why I have done what has been done with the help of friends, the thread and those who have volunteered to help from all walks of life over the yrs. Much of that help came by way of the DZ. The FBI has been AWARE of these pictures and know I have made connections of Duane Weber to the N.W., but just need documents and comfirmation which may not exist....because the FBI sat on their hands in 1996. Didn't look far enough or deep enough to find the history of Duane L. Weber and his connections to flight and chutes. I expect they cannot do indept investigations if the prints and DNA do not match - but NOT every case is solved with DNA and prints. I can no longer continue the search - so I am letting it all out there and just hope that someone finds something soon. The key to the past is the photo of the family and a friend of the wife. That photo taken of 3 different individuals in 1972 only exemplifies what I have tried to tell these darn guys for yrs - haircuts and the times and the photography. If you go by the photo - all 3 guys had big ears. It was the same with the Ft. Benning photos we acquire of jumpers there. Look at the news article photos of the day - it was the cuts, the sideburns and everything else combined. The only thing extraordinary mentioned by the witnesses was something Tina said to the artist. One of which was never reported in the media and one to which I suppose no one ever considered important...it was to me! The 1998 is WHEN I started collecting data - after I got the letter from the FBI dismissing Duane Weber based on fingerprints from a prison they denied he was even a resident of in 2000. Actually they date before 1920 because Duane's brother was 12 or 13 yrs older than Duane who was born in 1924 (questionable at the time as an alteration appears on the birth certificate - as 1923). The official records compiled is what we now have to use which is 1924 and what Duane used. A forensic genealogist pulled lots of records we had NO access to on the whole family. This indivdidual had been assigned to Hoax me for a study and for a new TV series, but was unable to do so for over a yr and was monitoring this thread. One day I got a phone call - and basically hung up on the person except the individual provided me with contact information to verify his position within the system. I did so timidly and in the beginning would make contact only thru Establishment. After months of gaining my trust - we started to talk. The individual was very ill and no contact now for a long long time, but I do appreciated what this individual did for me...since I could not be hoaxed the individual aided me. That information and the concern of the individual will forever be remembered. It was the first time I had any comfirmation of the things I had been told by Duane's brother and other things told to me by Duane... The information provide the avenue to more information that proved the FBI did NOT investigate Weber and if they did they did NOT check out his family connections....things that took us right back to WA and also supported Duane's remark in the ST. I have some information on McNally, but it was NOT as detailed as that record was. What I had was just media reports. Very tired here, but wanted to say Hello. Your post were usually unbiased and fair and we all missed your posters. I had one I wanted you to do for me - but, a lot of water over the dam since then - so I just pushed on. Don't even remember what it was at this time. Mc Nally was a school teacher? What happened to him - did he die in prison? How old were you in 1945? Your answer is relevant to your age. Please be accurate. As for calling myself Mrs. Knoss - lets NOT go that far! At least I have documents and actual files -even if like Knoss it is out of my reach! Several people helped compile all of the stuff and it dates back to 1998 (plus old stuff dating back to the 20's). I printed out sites and others did also for me before I learned to use a computer. Sorry, You are right. Guess I need to get off the computer and check out my ego. Just I have sat on so much for so long and then - BANG here comes this supposed expert who really doesn't know anything but what he reads on the sites. It is a fact that they were WORKING on this BEFORE the entire Unit was sent out! No way they let an entire UNIT know what might be happening as they didn't have security clearances.
