Note was sent to the LA Times on Dec 14 1971...supposedly from D.B. Cooper. I believe below is the decoded message. IT does NOT work with random numbers. It is done in patterns - like smilies w/eyes he uses 7 as the turn around number because it was the month his life would forever be changed - he became an outcast from his family and unemployable - he had no choice but to become a career criminal... 7698QA2753 (the code provided to the paper from Cooper). I am repeating this because I got the last 2 number turned around when I typed it into the thread a long time ago. Army 35608905 Navy 283-56-96 Example use the Navy number 283-56-96 versus - 7698QA2753 July was the 7th month and the day the he was dismissed as an undesirable. Why 7 is the turn around number. 96 last 2 #'s in Navy #'s Use 7 and reverse 96 to 69 gives you 7 69. Use the same on the last two number of the code - 53 becomes 35 after the turn around number. giving you 7 53 now you have 7 69 and 7 53 Q is Question - A is Answer. The 8 and the 2 reversed are the 1st 2 number of his Navy number This equates to 769 8 QA 2 753. The same system works on his Army number. 35608905 7698QA2753 3560 - 8905 Reverse 35 to get 53 Reverse 89 to get 98 so now you have xx98QAxx 53 July is 7th month 7x98QAx753 versu left x6xxQA2xx 2 is the first number of the Navy 6 is the last number of the Navy reverse their order 7698QA2753 Now U guy dismissed this, but it is all about smilies

The code sent to the paper challenged them to find him if they broke the code: 7698QA2753 July (7)was when Duane was put out of the Army even though his mother and he had made pleas for the Navy to drop the Bad Conduct dismisal Duane joined the Navy and the Army - he was NOT drafted. Army serial # 35608905 Navy serial #283-56-96 I believe when I first approached this subject 2 yrs ago - I got the last 2 numbers of the code turned around. Unknown to me until after Duane died he had opened a safe deposit box in Pensacola at the Citizens & Peoples National Bank of Pensacola. I found the receipt in his wallet and since I was not allowed to go back when they opened the box since my name was not on the account. I presented his will and birth certificate and old ID and death certificate. A bank clerk and the head of that office unlocked the vault - I was not allowed into view the opening since I was NOT on the account. All that was in the box was a magazine. 1664143 for $35.00 on Feb. 26 1990. That date is important and you will know why later on. The box was number 14. Remember Duane had flown to another state after starting diaylsis - without telling me. A place he took me to in 1980 after the news about the FOUND money in WA appeared in the Colorado newspapers. Shortly thereafter he left of the South leaving me with a daughter whose birthday and graduation was coming up. He came home only briefly for her graduation, but quized her about one of the coaches in her school The ONLY question Duane ever asked her about her school or instructors. Same name as Tina's married name! That I found ODD only after I started to research things in 2000 after getting frustrated with the FBI. I do not believe the two had any connection other than the same last name and being a coach or involved in sports. If there was a connection I never found it nor did I ask Tina about it. Note that things have really gotten quiet. Something is getting ready to happen or is it just the upcoming 41st anniversary? Wonder why Georger had to attend a meeting about this BS! The family journal Duane's parents kept - has been kept very private. His sister asked me to "leave the past in the past". She went on to give her reasons and remember she thought I was Duane's prior "common law" wife until she met me in 2004 after I remarried. It was at that time Duane's brother was going to share some things with me. We do know he supposedly documented Duane had parachute training. His brother and Richard Tosaw knew each other and I was given the impression at dinner that night before the call came while we were eating that his sister (Duane's sister) was in the hospital with a heart attack. I got to meet her very briefly that evening - and she seems very relieved that I was not the woman she met in 1971. She lived only a few miles from the location one of the letters was mailed from. Strange set of co-incidences! Her reason stated for leaving the past in the past was because she did not want her friends to know about Duane. Please NOTE she not one time denied Duane was Cooper - not once. She had shared what she knew with her brother and the brother was going to "share" some of it with me plus whatever he had acquired thru his relationshipe with Tosaw. Since Galen Cook was given access to Tosaw's records - by his sister - I wonder what Cook may have missed, but perhaps he did NOT miss it. This is basically when he pulled out of his support of Gossett....Gossett seemed to die on the vine so to speak within a couple of yrs of Tosaw dieing. Is this me connecting dot? Probably - but, I always look for the positive and it gives me hope the FBI has decided to look a little more closely at Weber. Especially, since I have found FLAWS in their investigation and their explanation of Weber that NEEDS explaining. Not just to me but to the public. The supposed letter regarding the code sent to Reno or Los Angeles - was Duane's way of saying catch me! To this day I do NOT know if the code letter was a plant by someone who knew Duane and his navy and army number or if the letter to the newspaper actually existed. I went over the information again recently and the FBI has never replied to my email a couple of yrs ago about the existence of the letter and the code. Why can't they just email me or pick up the phone and say - it never existed or yes it did exist. This supposed letter does not seem to be mentioned in the conversations about Cooper by the FBI to the media. So was someone hoaxing me or was such a letter ACTUALLY sent to the Reno paper? I am signing off for the night. I have hung in and tried to see the pain tonight so I am going to take some medication and go to bed. Got a tetanus shot about 6 wks ago and having some REALLY bad problems. I had a tetanus in 2004 along with the Rabies series after being bit by a bat. Then a few wk ago I got what I thought was a snake bite and went to the ER - they gave me another tetanus - for a bite? They should only have give me a booster. In 2004 I developed some problems, but thought it was caused by the rabies series. The problem took over 2 yrs to subside and they kept looking for a neurogical problem. The problem is back and esculated, except this time it involves more than just the lower legs. My arms and back - and tonight the eyes twitching and I can hardly keep my eyes focused on the screen. Facial numbness and pain in the back of my neck and front of my head. Corner of eyeball feel like I was stuck with pin and left is twitching. If a tetanus was called for it should have only been a booster but they gave me the works and only 8 yrs apart. Goodnight! You and a lot of people ARE wrong - it was buried there! Another site was not too far from a green tank East of the Bridge to Portland and East of a park built there prior to 1980, but not sure it was completed. Was there NOT a small shed up under the trees on the Fazio property in 1971 and in 1979. Could have been a small storage shed or an out house - it was not there in 2001 when I was in WA. The money was found just a few feet from approximately where this little building was and not too far from the gate. I have never seen a report on the find that indicates a small building of some sort used be back a few feet to the north and to the west of the money location. Does anyone know how to find the answer to this question? Probably not! Perhaps someone who knows how to contact Mr. Fazio might be able to field this question to him or perhaps it has been answered in the past. Have you ever looked at a REAL map of where that placard was found. Mark it on a REAL map not a flight map and then look at where witnesses where located. Read the witness reports....but, then maybe I am the only one since 1971 to talk to many of these individuals. They were NOT all over the map. The area of the most unusual notices of the plane was NOT in a normal flight path - these witnesses all lived in the areas for yr. Think about Cooper's guiding light! There were NO stars to be seen and little ground - he chose the brightest place within his range and that site put the placard where it was found....West of where he bailed which was not too far very far from Battleground - North East. Where is or was Government Island in relation the Islands you are showing. Was it between Camas and Washougal if I remember correctly. At one time a boy went over there and claimed to have seen a chute hanging from a tree. I don't known when - he was with his father and it was after Nov. 24, 1971. I know when I was in WA in 2010 the new I-5 was built so things had changed. Duane had told me about Government Island and showed me were the Ferry used to be...on the WA side of the river. That is where they found the homemade camper and the truck that was in question for several day. They claimed it had been stolen while its owner was away for the Thanksgiving Holidays - therefore he did NOT even know it was missing until he returned. Funny - one of the suspects was married to a woman who made a bird house with an old tag for a homemade camper....a WA tag. Just more trivia! P.S. Duane used to work on Government Island as if anyone can believe anything he ever told me. He never told me what he did on government Island and how did he know about the camper that was found - wait maybe I found this out later. Maybe my mind is getting all scrambled. Well, he did tell me about the Ferry. There is a man buried in Washougal in a grave in a cemetery in 1971 near the Columbia. The plot supposedly contained only the individual who died in 1971. I forget what the cemetery records showed. Strange Duane would tell me about this grave and that he used to know the man. There are details they did NOT address and things they assumed....these guys moved the fight forward by 1 to 2 minutes - wrong! No pilot and no genius, but I actually talked to the Co-pilot and what he told me does NOT support the HYPE they are promoting - HYPE that has stalemated the FBI actually proving who Cooper could have been. They were NOT level as they went below 10K at least one time. I do not know where this place is you refer to so do not know at which point you reference. When you are saying 10K - are you referencing the distance from the ground at ALL TIMES? Would really have been a roller coaster flight! In other words - the ground would have been closer at several points. Just Stupid OLD WOMAN question. It was at this particular time they told the Co-pilot. Do what you want! Well, why don't you ask the co-pilot WHAT he actually did and not what the public has been told for yrs. What would you do? You would try to get the damn guy off the plane - accommodating him as soon as he knew Tina had moved forward and was in NO jeopardy. The co-pilots only motive was to GET Cooper off that plane at that point. Why the guy on the ground was "busy".

The bump was reported by communications. The bump happened before it was reported. This also makes the plane just slightly to the EAST when the bump happened and there is a VERY VERY specific MARKER located in that area - a light you could see from a long ways up. Two sitings I have always believed as it was 2 sister who were adult at the time. They both lived in different places near this Dam with one living near Cougar. They contacted the FBI in 1971 and were told what they heard was the chase planes and not the skyjacked plane. One of the women was like myself and knew what the small fast chase planes sounded like and there was no way you could confuse them with a large passenger plane. The next siting of the plane just below Amboy and then another below that on 14 (4 people in that last one)....again these witnesses claimed it was very low at that time (they thought it was a plane having trouble because it was so low). This is just above Heisson on 14. Hope I am getting the places and the roads straight because I do NOT pull the old records anymore - I just pull it out of mind and if I goof, I goof! THANK YOU , THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I guess I just finally said it in a way so some one GOT IT! Why I kept saying the route was not correct and slightly off. This was a result of a conversation with the co-pilot - but NO ONE heard me. Move the plane route very slightly NORTH and then it all make sense. How fast does the plane move in 1/2 minute or 1 minute. How quickly is the pilot relaying the information - not as it is is happening but delayed by as much as one minute. There have been those who stated the plane went West of Vanouver - but then why did the pilot tell me something else - perhaps he didn't really know what was below him. Little do I know, but if I was relaying co-ordinates of where I was - over the waves. It has to happen first and then I say what I am doing or you could say it before it occurs, but NOT likely. I think those seconds COUNT. Those seconds (perhaps as much as 60 seconds) put the plane in the areas witnesses claimed to have heard or saw the plane. [reply ]according to Bruce it was Mill Plain Rd where she lived, this was along the flight path. Okay we got the location I ran the 2 words together. If I find the map I can give the other place that helped to pinpoint it within 2 blocks - he would NOT give a specific address. Made NO sense to me - he had his reasons I suppose. I lived across the perimenter (large interstate multiple highway) from the Atlanta airport. My location there in College park was relevent to her location across the Columbia to the Airport in Portland. Planes coming in that low were landing and not just passing thru. I still think she saw landing lights on the plane behind the Cooper flight. Her location alone indicates that. Cook was simply trying to justify that the money find at Tena's bar. I don't know why. He makes this stuff up as he goes....the way he finally landed on Gossett as a suspect because some young man calls him and tells him about his father kidding him about being "Cooper" while Cook was talking about Cooper on the program! Janet is not lying - it just WAS probably NOT Cooper's plane, but the one that landed in Portland. Her memory like my own did NOT take into consideration TIME and SPACE. She remembers the plane, but did she look at her watch and when did she know there had been a skyjacking??? If she was sure she saw a man jumping out of plane - WHY didn't she contact the FBI in 1971 as many others did because they thought the plane was in their area or flew over their house or saw a man walking with a briefcase the next morning and dressed in dress trousers and jacket with a sweater. I recieved a lot of contacts from WA residents when I went public and Margie Boule did her article...Margie filtered what she thought was important to me. I contacted 3 of them at that time. (4 individuals in one family) Only 2 of those four have since deceased. Yrs later I would be contacted by 2 others who claimed to have seen the plane. On a hazy night the glare of the landing lights could emotionally have become a flare because she was later made aware of the skyjacking - on the news that night. Don't forget the time the pilot is speaking and the time of the note taker on the ground may not be accurate. If the pilot is giving the time with each relay that would be fine. But, the only time I have ever read was the person on the ground taking the notes. Could be one minute behind. I have tried to relate this many times over but I was never heard. For instant - pilot makes statement to ground control he would have to state the time 1st and the ground control would have to confirm the time otherwise the time could be off as much as 1 minute. This was an argument I had with Sluggo when they did a RE-DO of the flight path. NO one seemed to understand what I was trying to say. Hopefully this time someone will. The pilot relays the step are down, but where they not down before 7:44:22. Hence this is all back and forth talk - no one factors in the real human side of the conversation and the time lapse between steps down and time related by pilot and then to ground. This is why the FBI was looking for Cooper - just below Lake Merwin and not in Vancouver. Relay time was NOT taken into consideration. I am just a layman do not know who to convey this in the manner that I think, but trying. The plane is moving as the pilot speaks. I do not understand the HOW and WHY you guys do NOT know where Janet lived. Cook gave me the location she lived at in 1971, but I don't think I can put my hands on it. I marked it on a map and believe I wrote the cross streets down - he did NOT give a specific address. Just this far from this street and this far from this street. I have the general area circled - on a map. If I feel like finding it I will post it. I will say near Millsplains - that seems to stand out in my mind. Hard to believe Janet would look up and see what NO ONE else did. For her to have seen the plane from her location it would have had to have been the flight BEHIND Coopers because it was on approach to land at PDX and what she saw was probably the landing light.
