Officers Respond To Wrong Address; Homeowner Shot
willard replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
This should get interesting as more info comes out. I can't see how anyone can make a judgement one way or the other just from what is posted here. -
Or maybe they are these.... a: Gold b: Sword c: Juno d: Omaha e: Utah

_____________________________________ I have a septic tank and use Rid-Ex, once a month... it works! Strangely enough, Rid-Ex was recommended to me by a man who cleans septic tanks. Chuck Rid-Ex is good stuff. Use it as labeled and have your septic tank cleaned & inspected every2-3 years and you'll be good to go.

Six cans of Krylon and 10 seconds is all it takes.

Depends on the situation. I've always found a way to keep my hide this far in my life, I'd like to think I would be able to under any situation I may yet encounter. I just hope I never have to find out.

Hey Willard, I think that qualifies as a Jeff Foxworthy-ism! If you can accurately identify, three outta five, slugs, simply from a small, internet pic posting "You might be a .... It shoulda been 4/5. Why I didn't recognize the 5.56 is beyond me, God knows I've run enough of them through a progressive press. Does that mean I get first slice of the 'possum pie?

Ok, listen close so I don't have to repeat this for the 2345th time. All three (3) of those issues are a matter of opinion whether they help or hurt workers. If you would read more on each other than what is posted on the union web sites you would know that. There are pros and cons to all three (3) issues. Now, for the last time...You made the assertions, not I. It is not up to me to prove/disprove anything. What about that do you find so difficult to understand??? On second thought, forget it. I am done with this discussion since all I am doing is giving you a platform on which to bash people by making accusations based only on your opinion. Since you are so enlightened by websites, try this one.http://www.freeworkplace.org/legislativeupdate/ More than enough examples of the Republicans doing things to protect workers rights. Yes, WORKERS rights, not union rights. But I doubt you will ever realize they are not the same. Have a Nice Day
-
You still have avoided like the plague the 3 items that are non-union related: - Ergonomics Bill - Overtime law - Min wage bill Are you gonna address these or continue to run from them? Also, after addressing how these Republican goodies are good for workers, introduce some of your own, some things that are good for workers that are ideas of teh Repubs. #1. In that post I was replying to Billvon, not you. #2. It is you who have been running. I have nothing to prove...you do.

Where the hell does it say in the article that they want to get rid of all guns??? All the "progressive" politicians want to do is restrict the use of armor piercing bullets and high powered machine guns which arent practical in terms of hunting and home defense. Why are all of you damn Charelton Heston lovers getting your panties in a bunch over this? Just because the "libtards" want to take away unpractical and unnecessarily harmful guns/ammo does not mean that the government is going to strike the 2nd amendment from the constitution. When was the last time you went hunting with this??? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:M2_machine_gun.jpg To be honest with you I would support an all out gun ban or a severe restriction on gun rights. Since when does the hobby of Americans (hunting/shooting) have more importance than the safety of its citizens. Just look at the gun deaths in the US vs. that of any other westernized nation with gun control laws (UK, Germany, Japan). The disparity in the number of gun related deaths alone should be enough to severely restrict gun ownership. Its about time we did pry those guns from your fingers if you ask me. Machine guns are already restricted in the U.S. Even if you get a Class III permit most people can't afford to buy or feed a machine gun. What defines an armor piercing bullet? I've shot through 3/8 steel with a 22-250. Depending on velocity, you can shoot a bullet made of almost any material through almost anything.

Where can I get one of them 30.30 rifles? The one I have won't penetrate anywhere near that amount of armor. Ted Kennedy's car has still killed more people than all of my guns combined. And I hope to keep it that way.

Isn't it 357 Magnum or larger? It's been a couple years since I've hunted deer here in Ohio, so the laws may have changed. Oh hell, we BOTH know they change them every year. I don't have a copy of the game laws here so I'll take your word on it. -
That does not make it right. While the idea of smokers getting massive payouts for living so unhealthily is like a dagger to the soul, I also very strongly feel that big tobacco should be held to account for their lies. It's an uncomfortable position to be in. I quit smoking 7 years ago after lighting up for 22 years. I knew cigs were doing nasty things to my health, but I didn't care. I would cuss at the tobacco companies for being a bunch of liars in one breath, and light up a cig with the next. I don't see this issue ever being resolved to everyone's satisfaction, and I'm not even considering how the tobacco companies feel.

Thank you. I believe that is close to what I have been saying. I have openly acknowleged that Repubs are historically against the unions. I have openly acknowledged that not all unions are bad. I don't agree with everything the Repubs do where labor is concerned, nor do I think everything the unions do is evil. If I haven't, please feel free to correct me.
-
Oh, c'mon, lucky! Even you wouldn't accept as evidence anything from a website so biased as that unless they were saying just what you wanted to hear. While waiting for you to post reliable info, I've done some checking. I have found good data to back up your claim that union jobs are safer than non-union, but also have found reliable info to refute that data. So where does that leave us? I can't find enough to convince myself either way, so it is doubtful you will.

I'm not running from anything. I'm just biding my time waiting for that so-called evidence that the Republican party is against workers rights and not just against the unions. The instances you have listed over and over again are against the unions. You can only take those and use them to infer that the Repubs are against workers rights if you think that the unions somehow have a monopoly on standing up for workers rights, which they don't. They don't even represent a majority of the workers in this country. Name calling? Two examples. Just in the title of this thread you are calling anyone who believes that Repubs are for workers rights "stupid". Can't deny it, it's right there for all to see. Several times you have referred to the Republican party as "Nazis". Again, it's there for all to see. False accusations on assumptions. If that's not a perfect example then I don't know what is. You assume that because Repubs are against unions that they are against all workers rights. Yu have asserted that the Republicans are out to take away all workers rights. You haven't even come close to showing that, having only posted time and again the same instances of Repubs doing things the unions don't like. If they are so against workers rights, then why are they trying to protect a workers right (yes, it is a RIGHT) to a private ballot? You made the assertion that Repubs are against worker rights. It is for you to provide evidence of that and not of something else that you think isd the same. It is not upon me to disprove your statements. As Kallend once challenged me, if I said there were dragons on Jupiter am I right until proven wrong? There were a couple times when union reps came to our shop. I didn't make any attempt to stop them from talking with our guys. I didn't have to . Every time they came to the shop every person they talked to told them they weren't interested. If you have a beef about what happened to your father, don't just look at the Republican party. Look inside the union itself.

Here's my favorite. Holds all the ammo I need. Nothing against the semi-auto rifles, just my preference. -
It's called "normalization".

My cat is one sadistic SOB, but damn, I love him!
willard replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
What makes you think the cat done it? Maybe the mouse did it to himself as a form of protest against the cat?
