Who said "because of". A little more care in your reading is called for. Please post actual FBI data comparing no carry states with the others, not NRA propaganda. I don't post data from Brady sites. You wanted FBI data, I posted FBI data. Whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you. But then, you have a perfect track record of not admitting when you are wrong. No reason to think you will do any different regarding the crime stats. Edited to stay on topic

Sexon always hit pretty well when he was with the Indians. What'd you guys do to him??

I'd agree with Gizmo. The name fits her. Or Fido. I've never actually met a dog named Fido.

For someone who places so much fault with the current government you sure put a lot of faith in their statistics. A few keystrokes and a couple clicks is all it takes to find not only your favored FBI data but more and also assembled in a nice report. www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?id=206&issue=007 BTW, still waiting for you to tell us what all those other aircraft were that flew into buildings because of NY ATC.

Where are the people shouting "Four more years! Four more years! Four more years!" ? "Four more years! Four more years! Four more years!" (Had to do that just to see who gets riled.)

I know a B-25 hit the ESB, WTC towers were hit, and Lidle found the side of a bulding there but I'm not familiar with any others. When were they? My point is this: of the crashes I know about, only one was in communication with ATC and that was the B-25. The others were not so I have a hard time imagining what ATC had to do with it.

My mom took in a silver tabby that had been abused. She (the cat, not my mom) hid in the upstairs bathroom and didn't come out for over a week. She had her litter box there and ma took her food. Little by little she started investigating the rest of the house. Finally, after about two months, she allowed ma to pet her. After that her trust really started to come around and it wasn't long until she was close to normal, though she was always extremely skittish.

(yawn) Is that all? I think you're losing your touch. You can do better-I have faith in you!

When I was a teenager and still living at home we had a Manx cat that weighed 28-30 lbs in the winter, a couple pounds less in the summer months. He was in great shape, never even chubby. If you notice your cat rolling to his food dish instead of walking you may want to think about cutting back on his food rations.

What is the stupidest thing you have ever done?

I let a good woman get away. I've done some dumb things but that was outright stupid. -
I don't foloow football much but when I do I'm a Browns & Buckeyes fan. I thought Cleveland did well on Saturday. What seemed to stand out, to me anyway, was that out of all the players in the OSU/Florida championship game only 6 were drafted in the first two rounds. Either a lot of parity in college football or the scouts weren't overly impressed.

yes you did UK and Aussie land don't have 200,000,000 people either. *yawn* maybe instead of blindly quoting populus why don’t you work out the per capita gun massacres.. I don't need to. I live here...you don't. What concern is it of yours whether we have access to hanguns, semi-auto rifles, shotguns, etc.?

An Interesting Day: President Bush's Movements and Actions on 9/11
willard replied to zagijimzoo's topic in Speakers Corner
Good point...The first thing that comes to mind is the person they say was flying the plane that went into the pentagon couldn't land a C-172. Was that person really skilled enough to nose dive a 757 with almost extreme accuracy? I don't know...as I haven't flown a 757, but it seems unlikely. Guiding an aircraft to hit a particular spot would not be difficult with even a small bit of training...just keep the target in the windshield and continually make small adjustments to the flight path. I have read the report from the fella who supplied the steel. His opinion is far outweighed by countless physicists and engineers who have done countless calculations and determined an outcome different from his. Purdue did extensive work on a computer simulation that shows how the aircraft itself did little damage, but the kinetic energy of the fuel the aircraft carried caused extansive damage to the extaerior support structures, without which the interior columns were left without crucial reinforcement and support they needed to do their job. Even without any fire the towers were barely standing. Add enough heat to weaken the steel (which is a lot less heat than needed to melt steel) and the whole thing collapses on itself. In short, it has been proven that once the aircraft hit the towers there was only one possible outcome...collapse. The fires merely hastened the event. -
A question for Skydivers who care about the environment...

If primates follow the patterns already shown by other species we have but a few dozen million years left here (if even that long), well short of any major change in the sun-earth relationship. But I'll be long gone by then and I'm taking my beer with me! -

An Interesting Day: President Bush's Movements and Actions on 9/11

You forgot these... 1. People with no idea what they are talking about suddenly become structural engineers and determine that two high rise bulidings collapsed and the large aircraft that flew into them had nothing to do with it. 2.Those same people lose what little remaining common sense they had and claim a third build that was severely damaged by debris from the first two collapsed "for no apparent reason". 3.Not content to be self-proclaimed experts in structural demolition, they now title themselvs as FAA investigators. Having done this they can claim a fourth building was hit by a cruise missle despite multitudes of eyewitnesses who say it was an airliner. But, in a jesture that confuses all those who still have control of their faculties, the uneducated selfproclaimed experts can't agree on whether a fourth aircraft that went down in PA spread wreckage and debris over an 8 mile path....or if there was no wreckage or debris at all. www.911truth.org....almost as factual as a supermarket tabloid. -
Oh the humanity! Sad ending for a fine old bird.

A small investment doing well beats a large one doing nothing...or worse.

I think she was doing just what you told her...avoiding the curb. The one on her side!

BTW, glad to hear your investment is doing well.

Help me out here. Just WTF do you mean here?? It's his MO...it has nothing to do with the economic conditions in place, it's the President's fault...or the VP's. I would ask to see some kind of evidence that an orangutan could do as well but I know, considering the source of the claim, that such evidence would not be forth coming.

An Interesting Day: President Bush's Movements and Actions on 9/11

Your entire argument is stupid rubbish. But to show you why i'll just address a couple points.... Losing communication with an aircraft for a few minutes is not unusual. 11 minutes of lost communication does not mean a hijacking. It could mean any number of things including an electrical problem on the aircraft. If the aircraft had failed to reply and squawked 7500 then they would have known it was a hijacking. Anything else, under the circumstances, is guessing. Not something to scramble fighters over. Because jet aircraft cannot fly at maximum speed for very long. Their max sustained cruise speed is much less than their max speed overall. Do yourself a favor and fully research and check out the dribble the CT folk post on the 'net before taking it as the truth. -
10/2 is not always the optimal position. That depends on a variety of factors. If you had time to tell someone to "hang on a sec..." then the situation wasn't that immediate. Not like, say, some jerk you're tailgating slamming on his brakes at 80 mph. Studies have shown that a hands-free device makes very little, if any, difference in accident avoidence when compared to a cell. The driver is still distracted. Just a couple weeks ago I was standing in line at a hot dog stand when a girl walked right into me. She was gabbing away on her cell and wasn't watching where she was going. To top it off, she gave me a look and a mumbled remark that somehow it was my fault. I'd hate to see what she does while driving.

So you can protect an airplane but you can't protect the Pentagon or the White House? By your response i guess you haven't read the 911 timeline yet! How long did it take to get those F-15's to Washington? Yes, I am familiar with the timeline of events that day. It shows nothing out of the ordinary. That is, unless you want it to and then nobody is going to convince you that it doesn't. Protecting AF-1 is many times easier than protecting the Pentagon or the White House. Do a bit of research on how that is done before drawing conclusions. It is obvious you haven't a clue as to how the military provides these services. BTW, on the morning of 9-11 I was building a magazine for transport of explosives on the streets of New York. Coincidence? Or do you think I had something to do with events that day?
