There is the ever popular "clusterfuck." This is sometimes called a "flower" or "shuttlecock" but the key difference is it is usually performed by 3-6 jumpers that dont know how to fly or exit head down but think they can. Bonus points for not letting go and ripping off the other jumpers sleeves. Is it possible, but here are just some of the challanges you are going to have to overcome: 1) Get a military supplier to sell you gear for your weight (yes, there is gear that can handle your exit weight) 2) Find a school that has aircraft that can handle your size. 3) Find a school willing to take on the extra liability 4) Find an instructor that is willing to teach you (and take on the liability) 5) Find an instructor that can fall as fast as you 6) Find an instructor that is willing to teach you a much more complicated process (essentially completely redesigning a first jump course) 7) Lots and lots and lots of money So yes, you are right, it is possible, but it is NOT possible without lots of help, and that help might or might not be available to you. If it is your dream then chase it. So, I made this in about 30 min yesterday just messing around. My first xtranormal vid. I almost didnt upload it because i thought it was stupid but the response I got on Facebook was tremendous so I thought I would share it here. Some of the humor might be lost because it contains some inside jokes and events that occurred during a week long BASE jumping competition between the Cincy crew and the NEO crew. Not necessarily. I have a friend that is 5'4" and weighs 350lbs. He expressed interest in tandem skydiving and I had to tell him unfortunately it just isnt possible not only because of his weight but also his numerous health issues due to his weight. 6' and 420 lbs would be a similar ratio. I agree the method wasnt the best. My reply was more so to all the people in this thread telling him "Thats just the way it is so deal with it like the rest of us." I personally dont believe in "That's just the way it is."

Another interesting point has been raised by this thread.... ...that is, the squeaky wheel does get the oil. Dont cut off your nose to spite your face. One other thing to consider is Pilots hold their value well, especially that size. I bought a 168 new for $1650 and sold it 1.5 years and 100 jumps later for $1450.
