My family decorates for Xmas and that's it. And even then, it's just a few odds and sodds on the tree and maybe a wreath on the door. I think it's a personal thing though, none of us really like to drown the house in gaudy tinsel. Others here in SA do, to the point where it's hazardous to walk through the front door for fear of being attacked by errant tinsel or projectile father christmas. (cats and kids love it though) It also depends on the culture, of which we have many. Diwali and Ramadaan, I think they get quite extravagent with the decorating ... Kerry

Naaah .... I find it hard to get excited about the whole thing. My mom will probably pull a tree out of the bush (like she normally does - can't remember when last we had a traditional xmas tree), so I'll help decorate that. Now birthdays on the other hand .... I go all out for those ... Kerry

Agreed Gerb! .... I haven't even thought about who is getting what for Christmas ... I'll be the one charging through the mall at full tilt on Xmas eve ... Fortunately this year, I haven't been subjected to endless carols .... yet! As for decorations, I don't bother, I'm never at home anyway .... Kerry

Everything in moderation is just fine. There is nothing wrong with fast food on occasion. It's when you have it 5 times a day 7 days a week etc etc etc that you put on the weight! If you are fairly active, generally eat healthily, then you really shouldn't gain more than a few pounds. .... I'm still reeling from that 396lb teen .... Kerry

a 15 yr old weighing 180kg!!!!!!!! It'll take more than a few burgers to do that! Someone should sue the parents for letting their child get like that in the first place!!!! Sheesh! That's almost like child abuse! Poor kid! Kerry

I'm getting one of them housemates in Feb. Part of the deal was we find a place with a small garden a) for my cats and b) so I've got somewhere to have a ciggie in comfort! Kerry

somebody told me not to clean my belly ring with anything other than hot salt water. It worked like a charm. It healed completely after 2 weeks, no itching, no icky stuff, no pain ..... Kerry

Know what you mean. I could probably afford to jump a LOT more than what I am right now, but there are a few other priorities at the moment ... like my studies next year, had to save like mad, because I hate being in debt, and I'd rather not be owned by the bank Kerry

ah same crap different day - she's bitching about a quote, saying not enough information, but it's all there in black and white What frustrates me is she's sticking her nose into the day-to-day running of my dept, which normally has nothing to do with her.
