  1. Totally unfair! The best part of him will be dripping down his thigh before he gets through the first roll of film.
  2. Seems like it would be very easy to confuse with the legs signal or the altimeter signal.
  3. I have been to plenty of dropzones that -will not- do two passes if they think the spot is OK I love it when I hit the go around and the pilot looks back over his shoulder and screams GET OUT! *shrug* Open high guys.
  4. Did you demo it before you bought? I think PISA was offering a Main/Reserve deal a while back. It was interesting, but I don't know anyone who has ever jumped one. Be sure to let us know how you like it!
  5. Green and Black? Don't you get kicked off the DZ for not representing with A&M colors?
  6. I agree 100%. Quit your whining. Less than 2 miles out is nowhere near a record.
  7. >The big question is.....DO we get to see the boobies too? Can't believe it took 10 posts for that.
  8. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
  9. I would be willing to try one out for fun, or an extra vantage point on a video, but I certainly wouldn't offer it as a substitute for a camera flyer.
  10. Great, now its not just your right hand.

Please have a safe day, jumping or otherwise.
  12. QuoteIn skydiving, it is very possible to have a national-level competitor or world-record holder give you your initial instruction. reply] That is pretty amazing. My first AFF instructor was a world record holder relaxing at a cessna dz. I am still in touch with all my AFF instructors. It just goes to the fact that people have a passion for this sport that I have not seen in anything else - not even close.
  13. >I would assume that if there is only 1 God, there is only 1 truth, yet we humans have drawn billions of different conclusions. Does this mean a bunch of us are in a whole bunch of deep shit? I think all the conclusions are wrong (except mine, of course) and God, in whatever form you believe in, is nothing more than a socially acceptable version of a childhood imaginary friend with the ability to address the concerns of adults. My $.02
  14. At least it was large enough for someone to notice.
  15. Too funny. You are quite the atheist. Also an atheist, except I do join hands for the pre-dinner prayer when I dine with a good friend who always does that prayer. I find it very enjoyable.
  16. Only had one out for a second or two at the most, but it was because I knocked him out with my forehead during a very hard opening. I have seen a lot of people come down weak in the knees and fading in and out. I've never heard it was because of the harness though and all were fine within 20 minutes.
  17. >my Oakleys left my head at 5k a couple months or so ago DOH!!!! Told you to leave the real ones on the ground.
  18. I'm moving to Denver in January. Can anyone recommend a good rigger?
  19. Allow me to give an atheist point of view (these are as varied as much as religious points of view). I don't feel threatened at all by the pledge of allegiance. This country was founded, in part, on religious freedom. Mine happens to be a lack thereof. If you keep that in mind, along with realizing the "Under God" was put into the pledge in the 50's, its presence is quite understandable and a piece of American history. I have the freedom to not believe in any god, thanks to our fore fathers. Why not preserve American history and just get over being offended at every little thing you see and hear.
  20. Won't be out that late Sunday, if at all - rig is still in pieces. Just drop me a PM when you are going to be out and I will do the same, or we will find another way.
  21. >Yep, you're way off. I stand corrected and I appreciate that.
  22. >Tolerance. They couldn't tolerate the presence of a building and it was detroyed in an act of violence. Overly tolerant. You may be correct, but at what point do you cease to be tolerant? I don't know, but I think it should be somewhere before criminal acts are committed.
  23. Wow. Having spent time in Berkeley, this does not surprise me one bit. It is an extremely diverse and liberal community that supports peoples' opinions and viewpoints. Last semester, a Muslim group (I believe they were Muslim, but maybe they were Palestineian-either way) took over and occupied a main lecture hall on campus for over a week. This is actually a pretty normal occurrence there. For comparison, I have also been to the Texas A&M campus and found it equally strange. Its another universe down there with its own language, values and viewpoints. Which is right? Neither. Isn't America great?
