Never considered that before. Now I feel bad that I have never done it.

try 4wd.com I'm on my 3rd Jeep and I've had a lot of luck with these folks. They are exclusively Jeep, so they really know their stuff.

Sundays are usually pretty lazy days at Otay (very close to Mexico). They're like a box of chocolates - may only do a couple jumps, may do as many as you can handle.

Ouch. I got caught in a blizzard returning from a sking trip when I was 16 once. Couldn't get a hotel room to save our lives. Only cost us $10 to get some guy to get us beer. Got drunk and slept in the van. All's well that ends well.

Freefly pants and a t-shirt. I own no underwear.

The guy reaching toward the girls boobies needs to scoot closer! -
OH YEAH!!!!! That's what makes it such a great sport. You never really lose that feeling. The terror (jitters) you feel in the student stage will turn into a pleasant nervous RUSH! Jumping with students brings it all back! I'll admit that tandems are not like doing some awesome freeflying with my friends, but scooting toward the door with a screaming student is an awesome experience as well. You know what they're feeling cuz you're feeling it too. AWESOME!!!

>the Lance Armstong Building at Nike That sounds awesome! What is it?

>It's gonna be a 5-6 day paddle. I got tired just reading that.

Glad to know other people are watching as well. Next week look for Lance to catch fire in the mountains.

This seems to be an issue of control to me. You went on a demo with a specific landing plan that included sinking a straight in approach. You did not exhibit enough control over yourself to stick to the plan and ended up doing a 180 hook over the crowd. If I did that on a demo, I would reasonably expect to never do another demo in this lifetime. If you can't control yourself due to the "power of the moment", you should not ever do another demo. If an AFF student could not control himself acceptably, he would never be cleared for self supervision. We are all students all over again on our first demo jump, but we don't have the luxury or the expectation of substandard performance. We will all pay the price for the stupid actions of those who have been deemed worthy to represent us in a public arena. This time we were all lucky. We should not have to rely on luck in these situations.

for a two way sit - sit down in the door (this will not work out of a cessna), wrap legs (rear person, right leg bottom, front person left leg over, rear person left leg over, front person right leg over), rock forward and roll out the door. You do a flip and extent your arms - tada - you are in a horny gorilla. A fun exit and also a pretty good way to teach someone to sitfly.

Check out a hang gliding/parasailing type place. Thats where I found the eyewear in question.

>Wiley-X I've seen these before -- at the Torrey Pines glider port. They go for $15.

>lots of strippers get them because they make more money Really? I'm trying to imagine a scenario in which I will feel that a stripper should somehow get more of my money because of an anal piercing. I don't see it (so to speak). Anyone? Bueller?

>i wear the real ones not expendable! You are braver than I am! I don't take my real ones in the air. I lost a pair on Saturday (jumping tandem student scraped them off on the top of the door). I think I would have died if I lost something that expensive in freefall (or in the plane, as the case may be).
-
I wear Oakley Minutes (fake ones from Mexico). I have a small face and they are about the only sunglasses that look good on me. They are also very expendable if they get lost during the jump.

>although it is still speculation, the reserve Mal was a lineover and they went in Spinning. If this is indeed the case, please don't let it get lost in the shuffle. Let us know what happened and how to prevent it from happening to us, if possible. Best wishes to all.

>you can see the Pacific, Mexico and Tijuana are right there (really cool at dusk) Have to agree with you there. I took Keith on a two way head down night jump and it was the most spectacular thing. Tijuana lit up the shield on his full face helmet like nothing I've ever seen. As if getting Keith on his head at night wasn't enough

Bill, are you feeling well today? Otay is far superior to Brown Field. There is a very valid readon its called Brown Field.

Cali is the same - in theory. I will admit that this is an extremely liberal state and litigation is the national passtime. Although "at will" employment is the rule, it can be challenged and often is. Not always successfully, though (personal experience). Best thing to do is have it in writing.
-
I hope you got something IN WRITING. I have been through 7 rounds of layoffs in the last five years. That does not include people who were fired outright. I think the right to work statute applies to working for competitors or other related parties. Good luck with those blinders!

Yeah, the wife makes me hose down every couple of weeks if I am going to be allowed into the marriage bed.

That is a good public service announcement for people who live in CA. Too bad I ate the same ticket last winter.
