    No idea. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop Edit to add: I was able to enter the BIOS by pushing f12. Processor is an Intel Core (tm) 2 Duo Didn't see anything about fan speed in the BIOS

    I got speedfan also, although I'm not quite sure I understand how to work it. It's says press f1 for help, but that does does nothing. Right now, after being on for about 1 hr and virus scan running core temps shows it running in the 70's. Speed fan reports Core 0:65 Core 1: 70 Both of these show a flame next to the temp.

    I tried to download MBM5 but it didn't want to work right. I was able to get the Core Temps and currently it says" TJ Max 85 (degrees Celsius) Core #0-42 Core #1-44 Not sure what any of that means. I'm getting ready to head to bed soon and then I'm going out of town for the weekend, would it be ok if I pm'ed either you or mnealtx on Sun??

    I know this in an old thread, but I'm having this exact problem. It does seem that when it gets even somewhat warm, it just turns off. This is happening all the time and it's really beginning to piss me off. I even have a fan that it sits on sometimes . But it's a laptop and I'd like to be able to use it elsewhere rather than just sitting on my desk. How difficult is it to replace the fan??

    I've never had an artist put it on or even recommend putting any ointment on a new tat. But to each their own. Everyone has their own way of what they think is best. I believe they use petroleum jelly when actually doing the tattoo.

    The ink makes the skin rise. It can actually be like that for a couple weeks. I assume the 'stuff' you are referring to is the gel looking stuff on her face? That's probably A+D which they put on the tattoos when they are fresh. I think it's to reduce the bleeding, I'm not sure. Yes tattoos can be raised a bit after they are first done. Skittles-some artists will tell you to use a tiny tiny bit of A&D ointment to help the healing. If it's looks shiny-the person most likely used too much which can fade the ink, which is why most artists don't recommend it. As for the story, I sure as shit don't believe she fell asleep in the chair. Tattoos on the face would hurt too much for that. OR she did take a shit ton of medication. I wonder what she's going to do now! That's going to expensive and painful to remove!

    It's not the only DLL file he's missing. I got another error message today. I can't get the repair option to work. When I insert the cd and try to run a repair, it asks for an administrative password and he either doesn't have one or doesn't know what it is.,

    That's exactly what I told him to do! He said he wanted to try and call one more friend first. His computer is old-skool and in my opinion he should just buy a new one!

    It appears to be an Internet Explorer file, so, going into the control panel, add/remove programs and find "Internet Explorer" click either change/remove or remove. There is almost always an option to repair/reinstall IE. One of those two should fix it. As a side note, you can always do a search (Windows Key+F) and type in apphelp and copy one of those to the system32 folder. If its not a .dll, it will probably say .dl_, just rename it to .dll If nothing works, you can always download IE8 and burn it to a disk for them, they run and install it, and should take care of the problem. I just dont know if its installed with IE or with Windows. I can't even get into add/remove programs either. Once I am in the control panel and click on add/remove program it does absolutely nothing.

    System restore is not working. It gives me another error message C:\WINDOWS\system32\ATL.DLL is not a valid windows image. PLease check this against your installation diskette Any idea why this is not working? Also tried doing a repair from XP disk, but it is asking for an administrative password which is non-existent.
