The movie IT (well at least the beginning of the movie) when that clown is in the drain "You want a balloon?" Scares the bejesus out of me. I hate clowns to this day.

I definitely can't miss work to go fight a ticket-not worth my time at all. I don't even care so much about the price of the ticket as I do about it showing up on my insurance.

So where do you find these defensive driving courses? In most cases if you go to these courses does it get dropped off your insurance? Thanks for all the advice on here. The court date that he set for me is Nov 19th and I have to work that day. My gut feeling is telling me to just suck it up and pay the ticket and hope I don't get another. I'm just pissed about the whole situation. It was pitch dark, raining, I was going up a huge hill and there he was sitting at the top in a dark navy car no lights on. Just parked there in the dark-which I guess is legal. Just a shitty situation and I got caught!

I'm in MN. So it sounds like everyone says I should at least show up in court. I know that I should have never admitted guilt, but I did. I was probably going a little faster than 39 in a 30, but not by much. My ticket is $125. My court date is Nov 19 and I must pay the ticket by the 10th if I'm going to pay it.

I got my first speeding ticket in over 3 years tonight on my way home from dinner and I'm so annoyed. I got a new car about 1 1/2 months ago and am adjusting to the different gauges. It was pitch black and I was coming up over a steep hill and going 39 in a 30. Navy blue dark cop car sitting on the side of the road no lights on or anything and next thing I know lights are on behind me. He asked me if I new why he pulled me over and I knew then it was obviously for speeding so that's what I said. So I pretty much admitted guilt. Does it ever help to not pay the ticket right away and go to court to fight it or explain? Like I said I pretty much admitted fault. How much can this 1 ticket in 3 year effect my insurance??

Personally I don't think the bar is the best way to meet people. I think that's great if you're in the "college scene." But also, I think men and women alike don't really just go chat with someone at the bar. This is just my opinion though!

I'm right there with ya. I did the free match thing on e-harmony. Spent forever filling out this un-godly long profile and the only thing that ever came out of it was 2 matches. I'm also on 2 other free dating websites.(Yes, I am very sick of being alone). I've been "winked" at, sent fake flowers, asked for sex,received numerous messages from people that have absolutely nothing in common with me "Hey I liked your profile and think we'd be a good match." Their interests are hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, canoesing etc. NONE of which I am interested it. Exactly what is it that you think we have in common??

I will never get the flu shot again either! A few years back I got one and got HORRENDOUSLY sick. I was sitting on the toilet and throwing up in the garbage can and then blacking out and having to have my parents pick me up off the floor. This went on for 12 hours, every 15 minutes. TMI-I know! I ended up having to go to the ER to get fluids. They are coming around my work with the shot right now. I actually sent a msg to my Dr. asking if I should get it or not. At first she said yes, and then she wrote me back again and said that she would consider what I had a "severe reaction." YUCK! Hope you feel better soon!

I love my job for the most part, but I REALLY wish that they'd stop sending us the damn Alzheimers/Korsakoff Syndrome people! Their mind is gone/pickled and there is nothing I can do to bring it back! (I work on the psych ward).

Agreed. I don't even know how to get back into the dating scene again. Online dating appears to be such a joke. All I get is messages from losers who have absolutely nothing in common with me. I'm starting to think I'm going to be single forever!

I'm having the same problem. I never used to see ads here at all on dz.com with the ad blocker in firefox and now I see them all the time.

What is this? When the boobie threads start, nobody wants to show their boobs and wonder why all guys on the forum just wanna see boobs and highjack the thread...so when we DON'T start boobie threads, you guys then complain cuz we ain't asking to see yours...we just google "input name here" nude and there's all the boobs we need...no need to beg!! Ok you're probably right, but they're fun while they last right?
