It's funny that you started this thread. Yesterday on my flight down to Atlanta I spent the entire time thinking about this exact subject. (Mostly because my overhead light didn't work so I couldn't read.) I thought of all the ways I want to change my life for the better. And I decided that I don't care what I have to do I'm going to skyfest this year. I have yet to go to a boogie. I always find some reason why I can't go. Be it money or taking the time off work. But I don't care what I ahve to do, I'm going to skyfest this year.

Thanks...I'll try to be out there. Like I said I won't be able to jump but it would be nice just to be there. I only met the guy once but he was incredibly nice to me (in the SkinnyShrek way of being nice).

I'm going to try to convince them to go. Not to sure how they'd feel about an ash dive though. Does anyone know if the ash dive is going to be earlier in the day or later in the day? As much as I would love to spend the entire day out there not to sure about the parents.

We weren't required to take the national registry exam. Though I'm thinking about looking into it just to have it.

I personally think alot of people look good in glasses. I don't feel myself to be one of them which is why I wear contacts. ChaosKitty looked great in her glasses in the pic posted earlier today.

That really sucks. I know how hard it is when you don't have anyone around to help. I live in Pennsylvania and all of my family lives in Atlanta (they moved down there while I was in college). I know just how tough the EMT thing is (although it sounds like your class has much tougher requirements then mine did). I wish you all the luck in the world. I'm sure you'll find some way to do it. It sounds to me like you're one touch chick.

That surprises me. I knew the old fat ones were pieces of crap. But as far as I knew the new slimmer ones were pretty good.

Well I'm not leaving dispatch completely. Now I just have more opportunity for hours. So I'm not going to completely disapear from those early morning posts. They just might not be as frequent.

I often can't help but laugh when I listen to medicine commercials on TV. Anymore it seems like the side effects are worse than the actual ailment. -

Well, I finally got the results of my state test. I passed and am now officially an EMT. I'm so excited. I can't wait to get out there. And I will say skydiving helped me when it came time for my practical. It's helped me in that I know how to stop, take a breath, relax and think without panicing. (This also came in handy on my one ride along when I had a cardiac arrest patient.) I'm just excited cause this is only the second time (skydiving was the first) that I actually found something I really cared about and accomplished it.
