  1. So today my boss comes in and says, "Don't make any plans for June 6, 7, or 8th." Seeing as how I already took off to go to Skyfest and signed up and paid for registration, balloon jump, helicopter jump and high altitude jump I ask him why. He said that weekend he signed us up for a class that's mandatory for employment. (I've been asking about taking this class since last August.) The class costs somewhere around $300, but my boss will pay for it so long as I sign a thing stating I'll work here for at least another 6 months to a year. So since he's paying for it he gets to chose when we take it. I tell him that I requested that weekend off almost 2 months ago, was told by his wife that I got it off and already spent close to $300 on registering for stuff for that weekend. So he turns around and goes back in his office for a few minutes. Comes back and tells me that he rescheduled the whole class so that I wouldn't have to cancel my plans for Skyfest.

  3. I'm pretty sure it's a mountain bike. It's got 21 gears. I've tried the really low gears. I guess my biggest problem is how out of shape I am.
  4. So after getting back into my jumpsuit for the first time since November and busting a seam while climbing into the plane I decided I need to lose some major weight. So I've decided to start riding my bike to and from work with the exception of when I work night shifts. My question is...what's the trick to going up hills? Even the smallest hill kills me and I've got some big hills to and from work. Is it just that I'm that out of shape (which I probably am ) or is there something I'm missing? I've talked to people who have no problems going up much bigger hills then what I have to deal with and they don't seem to have any trouble (and the one person isn't much better off then I am when it comes to being out of shape). Thanks for the help.

    Vicodin

The only time I was on vicodin was right after I had my wisdom teeth out. I had not problems with it, other then feeling like I was drunk the whole time.
  6. Only 1 jump this weekend. But it was my first since early November so I'm quite happy.
  7. I would almost think that would be one for pretty much anybody in this sport.
  8. I've jumped when feeling much worse then this. The thing is that the meds have completely broken up the conjestion so I'm not that worried about that.
  9. Turned out it was bronchitis. They put me on antibiotics and cough medicine on Friday and I feel a hell of alot better. The only sypmtoms I have now are extreme thirst and I think that's just from the meds.
  10. I'm sitting here at work, absolutly beautiful day out. The DZ is about 7 miles away. I can not only hear the jump plane climbing to altitude over where I work but I can also see it. Only 4hrs 13min until I can go and make my first jump of the season.
  11. I had never seen that one before. That was great.
  12. The weather here seems to be slowly clearing up at the day goes on. Hopefully by time I get off work at 3 it'll be clear enough to jump. Then it'll just depend on if my reserve is done being repacked. [keeping fingers crossed]
  13. How about this one I have where Jesus Christ is jackhammerin' Mickey Mouse in the doo-doo hole with a lawn dart as Garth Brooks gives birth to something resemblin' a cheddar cheese log with almonds on Santa Claus' tummy-tum.
  14. Don't forget to add on another 40 lbs to account for the weight of the gear. So you're looking at AT LEAST a 320 sq ft canopy.
  15. I hadn't seen that before...very cute
