  1. You know anyone who would want the job.
  2. Oh how I could go for a sammich and beer right now. Anyone wanna make a trip to western PA and bring me a snack?
  3. I kinda had this past weekend off. But I spent it moving into my new apartment. The problem is I know just how shorthanded both places are. If I said no to comming in early tomorrow I know there is no one else for them to ask and a poor little old lady would have to miss her dr. appointment because I was being selfish. And I know that if I say no to the dz then they'll only really have 1 person to pack the tandems for them and I feel bad pushing all of my work onto her. This is why I can never say no...guilt that I'm making someone else do my work for me.
  4. I've always been one of those people that I will do whatever someone else needs me to do for them leaving little or no time for myself. I will find the time to help someone else when they need it, but I can never seem to find the time to take care of myself. Example 1...The second part of last week my schedule went like this. Wednesday night worked 11pm to 7am Thursday. Went home, slept for 2 hours, worked at the dz 10am to 6pm, went home, slept for 3 hours, worked 11pm to 7am Friday went home, slept for 2 hours, worked at the dz 10am to 6pm, went home, slept for 3 hours, went to work 11pm to 7am Saturday, went home, slept for 2 hours, went to dz worked 10am to 8pm. Example 2...tonight I'm working 3pm to 11pm. Originally tomorrow I was supposed to work 10am to 12pm then again 3pm to 11pm. I was planning on going to the gym in the morning before work (I joined about a week and a half ago and haven't made it there yet.) Well, when I showed up to work today they asked if I could come in at 515am tomorrow instead of 10 (still working till 12 mind you). Being me (and being poor) I said yes. So there goes my me time for tomorrow. Example 3...This Friday my schedule goes like this. Work my main job 7am to 3pm, work at the DZ packing 3pm to ???, go back to main job 11pm to 7am Saturday then go straight back to working at the DZ till ???. I would love to have some time for myself but between being poor and needing to work like a mad woman and not ever being able to say no when someone needs me to work or hlep out how am I supposed to do it???
  5. If you're not going to take the time to learn yourself don't complain. Your packer is only human...humans are not perfect, they make mistakes. I know as a packer I don't need some asshole comming up to me yelling at me about his occasional bad opening. If you're going to complain about someone screwing up your pack job do it yourself. Otherwise shut up.
  6. I am so envious of your stongbad design. That just kicks ass in so many ways.
  7. I went to Subway today and thought of you. I was going to eat it there but just to spite you I took it home and ate it.
  8. I'm also sorry for the loss of your kitty. I know how much it sucks. Last year, shortly after moving my cat ran away. Unfortunately I found him a month and a half later on the road having been hit by a car. He was only 2. But here are some pics of my boy Farrell. I still miss him terribly.
  9. I'm so sorry to hear about that. The only thing I've had to deal with is my best friends mom having breast cancer. Cancer is never a fun thing to have to deal with. No matter what kind it is.
  10. I'm sorry to tell you this but you are in fact the victim of fraud. Unfortuantely this scams do happen on here. We try to catch them whenever we can but some do manage to slip through the cracks. Most of the time newbies like you are the victims. I don't know how much you can do about it. But I would deffinately call your credit card company NOW.
  11. True...I had forgotten about him.
  12. Considering HIS first name is John according to HIS profile I doubt HE'S the one that's pregnant.
  13. actually yours is a repost because billy posted it first
  14. I'm only contemplating it. I'm still trying to see if my new insurance would cover it so long as I could prove it causes my back problems (main reason I want it done).

Unfortunately no one leaves food here. And when they do they get really pissed off it you eat it. One time a girl left a dozen BBQ wings in the fridge. I was having one of those nights when I was unusually hungry and no one delivers at 4am. So I ate 2 of her wings. I even left a note expaining that I wouldn't normally steal someone elses food but I was really hungry and I would pay her back. Well, the next day I got a royal ass chewing for stealing other peoples food.

  19. I know I had it kinda easy yesterday...but I still slept for 12 hours. I would've slept longer but I had set my alarm so that I wouldn't.
  20. That is the last thing I need. Especially since I'm considering getting a reduction.
  21. I can't really do a whole lot to the swamp...the dz dogs all like to go swimming in there.
  22. Unfortuantely aside from the giant swamp 50 yds from the hanger at the dz there does tend to be alot of standing water. I think I'm going to invest in some bug zappers for the DZ.
  23. I may just have to do that. Another thing I just thought of...the longest I've lasted before scratching the living hell out of a mosquito bite is 3 days. Is it normal for it to take longer than 3 days for a mosquito bite to stop itching/go away?
  24. I've tried the clear nail polish...unfortunately it worked at first but then it stopped working. I may just have to go out and buy an aloe vera plant. If that doesn't work I'll just continue down the list until I do find something. Thanks for your suggestion guys. I'll let you know if any of them actually work for me.
  25. So I came home last night with litterally 15 mosquito bites on my legs and feet. I've always been a mosquito magnet. But with there being a large swamp about 50 yds from the hanger at the dz it's really bad. They itch bad enough that they wake me up at night. I've tried covering myself head to toe in bug spray but that doesn't help much when it comes to them biting me. The only way I seem to be able to get at least some relief from the itching is to run my legs/feet under ice cold water until they go numb. But that relief is only temporary. Once they warm back up it starts itching again. Anyone got any ideas that might help me? For the past 24 years of my life I've always gone nuts and ended up scratching them open. I'm really trying to get out of that habbit this year.
