    Cyndi, There are several hospitals in Pensacola (about 20 miles from Navarre): Baptist, Sacred Heart, and West Florida. They are all about 500 beds. As for ambulance services, you might look at Lifeguard International (Air & Land) or Escambia County Ambulance. One last thought - are you absolutely sure your PA-issued EMT cert won't transfer to Florida? The Florida Dept of Health (which incidentally is across the street from my office) has a webpage that mentions out-of-state certifications: Florida DOH Webpage Good Luck! PS - The panhandle is not as bad as everyone says... It's funny you should mention those hospitals cause just yesterday my sister-in-law suggested the same ones and I put in online applications. As far as my EMT cert...I just happened to look at that same page yesterday. I sent an e-mail explaining my plans and I'm hoping to hear back from them soon. But thank you very much for your suggestions. I really appreciate it.

    I'll be going to Navarre, it's in the northwest up in the panhandle. Right now I'm an EMT (which doesn't transfer to FL) and soon I'll be starting insurance sales. I'm looking for something in the medical field. I would like to eventually go back to school for nursing.

    That's a misconception !!!! Florida never had a hurricane.... by the time they move inland, they are just HUGE ASS tornados ! Yeah but where I'm going to be going is right on the shore.

    Trust me...with the way the weather is right now I would if I could. I was down there for Christmas and really didn't want to leave the 75 degree bright and sunny weather for cold and dreary PA. My main concern is finding a job down there. My sister-in-law is pretty confident that I could find a job and any one of the hospitals down there. It would be low-level for now since I don't have any real certifications (other than EMT and that's only in PA). But, I would go back to school for nursing and she said the hospitals would have tuition assistance programs. I just want to get my foot in the door.

    So I've been wanting to move down south because that is where all my family is (split between Atlanta and North western Florida). Well, over Christmas this discussion arose and I have officially started looking for jobs down there. My sister-in-law who is a nurse is going to start talking to people she knows about helping me find a job. And, my brother and sister-in-law offered for me to stay at their house until I get a job/find a place to live. I'm stuck in PA until the end of April because that's when my lease is up but I'll probably end up moving down there just shortly after that. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    That's about as good as one we had the other day here. We do stand-bys at the local bull rides every Friday night. The first half is people who are actually half way decent. The second half is any drunk who wants to ride a bull for shits and giggles. Well...this past week we had a guy who got hit nads stepped on by the bull. Dumb ass refused to go to the hospital.

    Started out skiing. After one class at the age of 7 I decided it was much more fun to just go straight down the hill and go really fast then to make any turns. My parents couldn't keep up with me. At about 12 I took up snowboarding. Don't get out all too often so I'm not too good at it but I really enjoy it.

    But it's 4F outside with a -20F windchill. I cannot remember the last time it was this cold in western Pennsylvania. My car tends to have some issues when it's cold out but, it almost didn't start this morning when I had to come to work. Today is a day that I'm very glad to be working inside and not be out on the truck.
