No, I was not referring to the doper. Agreed, but drugs often produce less negative side effects than other methods I have tried such as sleep deprivation, starvation, ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

The concept of drug use to expand consciousness stems from how the brain developed and works and the way drugs (temporarily) change the way it works. I am not referring to the person that takes some drug, hallucinates, and then states they expanded their consciousness. It does take self control, introspection, etc... "That looks dangerous." Different people enjoy different recreational activities. What interests me is drug use aimed at expanding conciousness (relates more to the religous use than the recreational use) and medical use. Agreed, second hand smoke is intrusive and should be avoided. Agreed, you should not operate heavy machinery or drive (or do many other things) while under the influence of marijuana. There are many reasons why minors should not be around nor use marijuana but that should not be a basis to stop adults from using marijuana. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Quite Right Too. Supporting peace is clearly against the interests of the US government. I believe it had less to do with peace being against the interests of the U.S. government and more to do with the armed conflict we were involved in at the time. Anyways, the FBI should have noted that John Lennon posed no threat to the U.S. government and thus it there was no purpose to keep files on him. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

It is not based on altitude, it is based on tactics. The siege tactic is notorious for leaving large amounts of waste on the mountain. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

John Lennon was an influential individual who held and expressed many beliefs that did not coincide with the beliefs (sometimes were in direct opposition to the beliefs) of the government at the time. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I think I have heard that this has happened before (may be mistaken). I believe they stated that during sexual contact the male ejaculated onto the female's vagina which caused the virgin female to become pregnant and thus have a virgin birth. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

I knew it wouldn't be long before someone brought up Mr. Herer. IMO, this book did a disservice to those seeking legalization. While it has A LOT of good information in it, it also has a lot of over statements. The result is an inability for the reader to separate the facts from the bullshit, since they are mixed together. I agree that you have to be able to seperate the facts but you have to do that with almost all sources of information currently available. PS: Can anyone tell me how many overdoses per year and overdoses total the government has on record for marijuana? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Tolerance? I'm not sure that I understand your question (if it even is one). "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Actually you could use a refresher on your history. Marijuana originally became illegal because of propaganda stating that it made people violent. This was later changed to the exact opposite, marijuana made people to passive. Neither of these were the real issues, the real issues at the time were that the majority of users were minorities and that the effects of marijuana did not appear to coincide with the culture of productivity. Currently alcohol, tobacco, and pharmacutical companies spend large amounts of money in lobbying to keep it illegal. (The pharmacutical companies were also able to halt marijuana research and obtain exclusive rights on attempting to synthesize the active chemicals in marijuana.) "That looks dangerous." Are people currently allowed on their jobs while under the influence of alcohol? No. Only if an employer is allowed to hire or fire based on other legal employee choices, do they drink alcohol, do they smoke tobacco, to they own a firearm, ... "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

First, any president or party could have had a robust economy during the technology boom. Second, we did not have peace abroad, we were in the beginning stages of the current war on terror. Third, your argument for Hillary Clinton is based on the presidency of Bill Clinton. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Agreed. The difference is that there are drugs (low addictive properties and minimal long term side effects) that can be used by responsible adults for recreation, religion, and medication and then there are all the other drugs. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

This is because brewing your own beer is expensive and is not easy. Considering that marijuana can be grown by almost anyone and everyone, almost anywhere and everywhere for $0.01 per ounce I believe many people would grow it rather than buy it. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

It would be extremely hard to tax (and regulate) because it is a plant that can be grown by almost anyone and everyone, almost anwhere and everywhere. However, there is still a tax advantage because the budget for law enforcement, jails, and prisons will decrease. Which is why law enforcement is against legalization, their budget will decrease and they will lose their jobs. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

Botched execution halts Floridas justice by death.

I'm pretty sure murder is illegal in prison, too. Yes, I know. I was just making reference to the fact that innocent people can be found guilty and it would be a bad idea to have inmates handle the executions as another poster mentioned. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch -

What if an innocent person is found guilty and is murdered in prison by other prisoners? We should not allow criminals to enforce punishments. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch -

According to your reasoning. If Adolph Hitler accepted Jesus Christ as his saviour on his death bed then he would be sent to heaven. If the Dalai Lama rejected Jesus Christ as his saviour on his death bed then he would be sent to hell. And you wonder why people reject your notion of God. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
