  1. I recently went on a trip to Colorado to go mountain climbing with some friends. I packed my knife in my carry on by mistake. Needless to say I was detained for a short period of time while they searched my carry on, confiscated my knife, placed a "knife" stamp on my ticket, and then sent me to the end of the line to go back through the security checkpoint. I don't think I fit any of the "profiles" because I was sent through the express lane by airport security while on a business trip shortly before this trip. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

  5. Great minds think alike. It was not great at the time. I couldn't fall asleep as that song played over and over and over again in my head late into the night. I don't even know why it was that song, I have not heard it or heard any mention of it in years. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  6. I know people that had a large dog and were trying to use an electric fence. It didn't work. Every time they increased the electricity or added another electric fence, the dog would just start running from farther away to make it through. Eventually their house was struck by lightning and they had to remove all the electric fences. Some dogs require a real fence, a physical boundary that they can not circumvent. 16. Evolution. Nature will find a way. Actually, if you read the article, they believe the plants were genetically altered. (I am assuming they meant by man and not evolution but I am just assuming.) "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

  19. I have to disagree. First, because I know people that should avoid anything that distorts their perception of reality. Second, because I would recommend natural over synthetic. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  20. Execution for revenge is wrong. As I stated above, someone should not be executed simply to get revenge or retribution. However, some people are dangerous even while in prison. Take Clarence Ray Allen who successfully ordered hits from prison against those who had testified against him. So was he not still a danger to society even after being locked up? Ted Bundy escaped more than once, his last time he killed quite a few people before he was caught again. Should he have been kept alive as well? What about leaders of terrorist organizations, where the organization would undoubtedly try to free them if it was at all possible? Should they be allowed to live as well? Not every execution is done solely for revenge. There was a show about gang leaders in prison for life without parole in solitary confinement that were able to run their gangs (inside the prison and outside the prison) by encrypting messages in letters. These individuals will never be rehabilitated or released and will always pose a threat to society (innocent individuals) even in solitary confinement in prison. Is justice served? 21. and cheaper..... Admirable as it seems, still those are only ways to induce hallucination, not higher consciousness. Perhaps the exercise of interpreting hallucination provides insight into the subconscious, but hardly a spiritual journey. One can do that well rested and well fed and with a healthy and open and receptive conscious mind. I listed those to show examples of methods that can have more negative side effects than drugs. Well, I plan on doing mostly relative work or tracking jumps next year so we'll wait and see. I can not guarantee what will happen to me in this life or if there is another life after this one so I would rather not way until things are forced upon me because they may never be forced upon me. 22. Actually OBL is just Elvis in disguise There are probably people who actually would believe either of those two comments. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  23. So who are responsible for the attacks on the U.S. before 9/11? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
  24. The people that climb alpine style often following the principle that you only take what you need. So instead of fixing ropes all the way, they use the same ropes over and over again. This would make it easier to remove all the ropes (especially if you need them on your descent). Yes, if you can bring it up you should be able to bring it down (although going down is often more dangerous it is also easier since you have gravity working with you instead of against you). The people that summit now often don't bring anything up or down, they hire sherpas to do everything for them, turning the whole event into nothing more than a hike in an environment with low oxygen and low temperatures. 25. If our own government planned and carried out this attack then why did Osama Bin Laden accept responsibility when denying responsibility and uncovering the conspiracy would have damaged our government far more? "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch
