That is why I believe it is important for students to know many ideas (good and bad).     If you are a legislator found guilty of committing a crime you should serve the maximum sentence (amongst the general population). As far as politics and history, it is just repeating itself. The Nazi party declared homosexual behavior immoral. However, it is widely believed that many Nazi party members engaged in homosexual behavior. What is the lesson? Politicians often say one thing and do another. Thus, to protect ourselves and our freedoms we need to limit what politicians (regardless of political party) can do. First, he is not a Republican legislator, he was a Republican legislator. Second, the Republicans engaging in legal or illegal "immoral" sexual acts are the minority, not the majority.     Forum, a place to read ideas. Instructor, a person to learn ideas and ask about ideas read on the forum. I attempt to read multiple ideas about a subject from the forum before asking my instructor about the subject. If the advice of my instructor differs from the advice on the forum then I ask my instructor about the ideas from the forum. I believe it is better to know all the ideas, not just the good ideas. PS: I am guilty of stating both good and bad ideas, I would rather have not stated the bad ideas, but I'm learning. "That looks dangerous." Leopold Stotch

If you ever bothered to read and comprehend what people write you might actually realize that I am not a Right Wing Republican ... I am a Conservative (not a Neo-Conservative) Independent. Both parties have had them, have them, and will have them. It won't change. Why? Because people complain about politics without knowing about politics or history. (Because people are more inclined to watch a show or read a magazine about celebrities than about politics or history.) Alot of their support is from working class families disenchanted with the lack of middle right political parties in the part of the spectrum that the Conservative party once held. To say that all their voters are Nazi's would simply be incorrect. I never stated it was a street gang ... just that people should beware.
