  3. Not until I'm 90, I want to go quietly in my sleep confident I had helped raise a handfull of healthy grandchildren. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
  4. That is a very good question. The FAA was notified, and is investigating. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
  5. Sweet.... I musta missed that. Did this come out of the chat we had a few weeks earlier about available gear? _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

    I went big!

Congratulations. You deserve this.... You've been excited over this for monthes, I'm thrilled for you that you got on. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
  7. I've seen that video, and this one is SO much worse. The md-80 flew right between two groups. unknown skydiver: what was it? Gary Peek: It was silver, it was close, and it was FUCKING BIG! (emphasis his). The King Air has some significant flap damage. I imagine it should be an easy fix, but it also suggests that perhaps the plane should be inspected a bit closer. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
  8. Average Speed on the way to the DZ 98mph:14:4 I made the road trip down to Archway, met up with FallinWoman, CanopyCudler, Jablen67, Skymedic and Sunshine. We got lucky when the King Air died. (structural failure = bad). Skydive Chicago bailed us out with one of their 10 minute otters.... WooHoo! 14 jumps over the two days, one of which scored me second place in the Spam Accuracy contest. I had first place nailed with a near perfect drop, until jabeln67 made a last second drop in the third round to beat me by one point. Because of time constraints, I had to sit out the 4th round. Firsts: 1) First time jumping at Vandalia. 2) First high speed down-wind landing on the stiletto at 1.5. (20 mph wind) 3) First time in a SPAM dropping contest. 4) First time placing in a skydiving competition. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
  9. Actually, I LIKE wearing a suit. I don't do it much now because my job doesn't call for it. Wearing a real nice fitting good looking suit gives me confidence, and I firmly believe makes me look great. When I wear a good suit, I strut. Stuffiness is suits that are out of style or don't fit. When I think of stuffy suits, I think of people that HAVE to wear a suit. Stuffiness is government workers in suits. If I pulled out my Armani or Boss or one of my custom suits, I'd be very surprised if you said I looked "stuffy". _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
  10. Oh, absolutely. Personal tailers are nice when the company pays for them. I was saying tailors in general. Even those dimly lit crappy looking ones downtown. You can choose the fabric, and well - it fits perfectly. It's cheaper and looks better then anything off the rack. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
  11. Yup. Dancing on the bar is much safer. I highly recomend it. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
  12. Yup, I had one of those at my last job when I was doing a lot of sales calls. Hand made suits are awesome... People should do that more often. Even a cheap handmade suit looks better and costs less then something off the rack... _Am (admits to being a yuppy) ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

  19. Funny, but I don't buy it. If you could point me to a transcript, I'd really appreciate it. I know NPR is left of center, but I've never heard them be anywhere near this didactic. _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

  22. Oh god. His head's about to get even BIGGER. Just keep in mind, you're risking his health. If you're not careful, it might explode. Do you want that on YOUR conscience? _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999

  24. Aerohio has two. Tim bought a second one, in mint condition. It has the lowest hours of any otter in the country. He bought it from the Norwegian Military. It's currently parked at Frontier, in upstate NY I believe. Still, while Fayard certainly ownes a lot of planes, he certainly doesn't own "most" of the otters... Most of the otters are owned by individual DZ's or local "plane owners", not one person. Billy Richards also owned a handful. He's the guy behind FreeFall Express, and leases to The Ranch, and a few others... _Am ICQ: 5578907 MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfe Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
