These are craichead. Thankfully, she doesn't have any of me. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Ski slopes have federal laws specifically tailored to protect them of any liability. Before the 70's, running ski hills would have been just as financially risky as running a dropzone. More importantly, though, it's pretty rare that a skiier or diver will kill the person they land on. _AM __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Whenever this discussion comes up, it's always framed in reference to a few specific events that resulted in high insurance payouts. In my recent memory, I can't think of any civilian demos that went badly wrong. I can think of the military ones, but not civilian. I haven't even seen anything on You Gotta See This... A demo incident would surely be covered by hundreds of cameras. Do we know anything at all about the incidents which resulted large payouts? _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Thanks Josh, the alignments came out perfect with factory presets. Through random flipping of settings, I'm now getting good results. Can someone point to a good primer explainint: - ICM and sRGB - PhotoEnhance4 with the assorted Tone types, and Effect Types. - Digital Camera Correction. What do these actually do? Good paper is way too expensive to try to figure this out by trial and error... _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I sold a container recently through the DZ.com classifieds. I asked his DZO to be the middleman, I shipped the container to him, and asked him to ensure I got a check. I'd never met the DZO, but trusted him solely on the basis of him not wanting to damage his reputation. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I've only had it a few weeks, I haven't had anything that I'd call a problem or glitch. There are some minor disapointments, and some minor annoyances... but I am quite happy with it. They're still selling 2003's, and I understand most of my complaints are fixed in the 2004's. Stupid things, like there's a power lock switch on the driver side, but not on the passenger side. If I use my key to open the passenger door, I can't hit the door switch to unlock the other doors. There's bungee cords which make up the pocket behind the drivers seat. These do not come as standard, you actually have to buy the bungee cords if you want rear seat pockets. Fixed in 2004. Keyless entry does NOT come standard on 2003. It does on 2004. I only discovered this when the salesmen handed me the keys after we'd signed all the papers. I would've had dealer installed keyless entry in a heartbeat if I'd known... Only the driver gets an arm rest. No arm rest for the passenger. Again, fixed in 2004. I am very happy with it. The suicide doors are awesome, and I really do love how the back seats fold up onto the roof. The cargo area is one of the most flexible ones I've ever seen... It really is a pleasure to fill up with stuff you're going to haul around. Fuel economy is good, at 24MPG. Performace is OK, I would've liked a bit more balls to it but it is more then adequate. The nutshell is that is's a good sized sport ute that comes in under $20,000, is cheap on insurance and great on gas. Apart from the items I've mentioned above, it's very well equipted, complete with 8 speaker stereo with sub-woofer, and mp3 line in, cruise, power windows and locks. What its missing in luxury it more then makes up for in hip style. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Last year there were 12 people released from Illinois death row after DNA evidence found them not guilty. They all had been on death row for more then 10 years. The relevations disturbed the govener to the point where he commuted the death sentences of everyone on death row to life in prison - the risks of killing more innocent people were just too high. Given the circumstances here, I think he had little choice. Thank god Illinois didn't work on your system. I have absolutely no doubt that all over America, innocent people are regularly put to death before we truth comes out. __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

A 1.0 wingloading at your experience level is very common at more progresive dropzones. At my DZ, it would be exceedingly rare that somebody is NOT at 1.0 by the time they get off student status. I can not comment about how this is right for you, because i do not know what kind of training you've gone through. That said, there is nothing in your post that set off alarm bells, except for the part about you having a cast. You're jumping unhealed injuries? This is a far bigger concern then the canopy. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Santa brought me a new Epson 1280, which I set up and played with last night. The experience was frustrating, and largely left me questioning my geekness. First, the colors were washed out. I was printing to Premium Glossy Photo paper, and the difference was tangible - the prints looked like crap. All the colors looked greyed out. I wonder if there's any calibration needed out of the box...? Secondly, this part made me feel really dumb, I couldn't figure out how to properly resize in photoshop. I have a large image who's native size is 20*30 inches, and I want to print to a 4*6 card. When I resized it down in photoshop, the result had heavy pixelation. When I left it native in photoshop and just picked a 4*6 paper size, it was clipped. Picking "fit to page" in the printer driver did not seem to help. Lastly images were printed with a very large left border, but no right border. I couldn't even print "borderless" at 4*6, when I selected the borderless box the 4*6 papersize disapeared... Any tips for a new 1280 owner? _Am (confused) __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

One rule that has worked well for me.... "You can not beat the price:performance of Honda." If I was looking for a cheap reliable car, the Civic would be at the top of my list. I just sold my Prelude (1500,000 miles), and bought a new Element _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I don't like the bigger battery because of the way it sticks out of the camera. Instead I bought a second battery of the same size, which I swap out when I need to. For the most part, I only need to swap out when I forget to charge the first one before a day of jumping. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I know of an Otter hit by a group attemting to launch a raft. That said, I am concerned about the tail, as I am concerned about King Air tails. I'll reserve judgment until I can see one firsthand, though. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

Those ones were pretty arbitrary. I created the slow-mo by dragging the clip on the timeline. The first came out at 22.34% and the second was 24.62%. Premiere 6.5 does a very good job of extrapolating the missing data. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

It should go through Rantoul, and end with a single screen "credits". Odd... Thanks for thr trimming tip. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

For anyone who's interested, here is the final product. There's abotu a minute of black trailing at the end. I cut some "adult" content out for the public version, but neglected to trim the project before exporting. Question - how DO you shrink the project....? Anyways, here it is. http://66.102.107.165/andrew/2003pgS.wmv Editing this video really reinforced that I need a new camera helmet, the video is very shaky. One is on the shopping list. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I've made extensive use of Premiere's slo-mo - It's far superior to what the camera can do because the software extrapolates the missing data. Watch this film, and notice the slo-mo's at 3:08 and 3:56. It's not the greatest example because of the poor quality of the compressed for internet video, but I assure you the slo-mo's themselves are crystal clear. http://66.102.107.165/andrew/2003pgS.wmv _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I would love to know why you think p(double mal) is roughly 1 in 25,000. If p(main) is 1 in 300, and p(reserve) is also 1 in 300, then p(double) is 1 in 90,000. Given that, I think p(main) at 300 is a very low estimate, 500 is probably more accurate and p(reserve) is completely unknown, but I suspect it is somewhere in excess of 3000. By these estimates, the p(double) is 1 in 1,500,000 - which means its not a risk I'm loosing sleep over. I just don't understand why you're wasting so much brain power on this. There simply isn't enough data to infer anything from the discussion. More importantly, there are risks in skydiving that you CAN control, I'd much prefer you to be worrying about those. _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

I think part of what makes hinckley comfortable for women, is the fact that there's so many women there. For whatever reason, a lot of women prefer Hinckley over other area DZ's. I do not presume to understand why this is the case. That said, it's a good thing for Hinckley, because it means there's a lot of women there. What does this mean? It means that for creepy guys like Me, Andri, Peter, Dennis... well, we're able to find women that don't find us creepy. We quickly marry them, to "lock them in," so to say. Except for Peter, he hasn't "locked in" yet, but he will. Anyways, so us creepy guys get women who don't find us creepy, then we don't hit on single women so they don't complain about the creepy guys! It's genius! _Am __ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
