  1. My mate tried it - it stopped at 5,000 / 6,000 ft. He was bit puzzled at this point then he called for air hostess. He asked a very pretty girl "what alti are we now?" She said about 30,000 ft. He couldn't work it out. Few hours later he realised it was due to cabin pressure! Don't worry you altimeter won't be damage cos cabin pressure'll look after it for you.
  2. Are you talking about a new freefly team and school called 'AirA' at Empuria - those freeflyers wear black/white jumpsuit? I know their jumpsuits made by 'Matter Clothing' - http://www.matterclothing.com
  3. You'll find more info - http://www.headshield.com/
  4. Can you post a pic of it please? I would like to know how it look on your head.
  5. I had the same problem as your. I discovered a potential reason why it happened. I asked my rigger and some users here thought it's due to yoke size. I know my rig's yoke is bit too wide for me cos I'm skinny and small shoulder. It's Javelin and 7 years old. I was hardly surprised it wasn't designed for freeflying. My rigger tolds me 2 or 3 years ago many container makers started re-designed their rigs for freeflying such as narrow yoke, riser cover etc... to updated it. I did some headdown coaches with Eli Thompson and part of my rig went over my shoulder down to my left elbow Eli tolds me to tight my chest strap up (to maximum!) and tried again. No difference this time. He suggested me not to headdown with my rig. I asked around for advises and decided to not do headdown anymore for a year until I get a brand new rig At least it'll give me a lot more time to focus on my sitflying and tracking. So I can outtrack some skydivers and doing back tracking Personally I don't think it's good idea if you still do headdown with your currently rig cos you can slipped off your rig while doing headdown. You'll never know. It's not my cuppa tea! I just want to keep bring my ass back to sky!
  6. I know a bit background about it.
  7. Check this out! http://216.239.37.120/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://para-net.org/paramag/archives/n188/article/article.html
  8. Hi all, Check my new and FIRST video out! Beer as usually. ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/UPLOADS/FlyFreeButNotCheap.mov (21.5mb) I guess it'll be moved to public/misc sooner or later. Dave Geffin (Newbie - user) made music for me. He worked so hard on it because I edited the video before music. It suppose to be other way around - oops. Thanks Dave! Anyway this video is mainly for my presentation - visited various deaf clubs and encourge young deaf people to do what they dream / want to do. Show them I did it and so they can do it too. That's it. Let me know what you think of it?
  9. I wonder if those lenses would able to see inside edge of box when video a jump? Like vignette but it come from the box.
  10. Did you tried it solo or with a group? It'll be much better if you doing it in a small group or a coach jump. It'll give you better idea to know what your position would be. When I tried it first time, I felt like I was doing headdown or very steep angle tracking but not really because all I can see was blue skies and trackers - it was good fun to see Eli (Flyboyz) chased me! Forget to add this bit:- Try to push ur shoulder back, pelvis up, push ur legs down and straight out just like de-arch. Hold like this for a while. You can practise it on floor. Make sure your wings (arms/legs) spread wide until you feel so comfortable and stable then going narrow slowly and you'll flying just like Omar in CrossWind!
  11. Caterham Super 7 is my dream car. It's so basic, pure british race car and very powerful. It only weight about 450kg and 1.8 litre with 230bph! That's more powerful than Ferrari! Cos weight to power raito - 550bph per tonne! I drove it once and it's so awesome! I love it so much! http://www.caterham.co.uk/ http://www.caterham.co.uk/showroom/sevens/superlight.htm This article come from Caterham.co.uk's News:- The Caterham Superlight R500 has broken the world road car record for speeding from standing to 100mph and then back to standing, completing the test in an astounding 11.44 seconds. The previous record time of 11.50 seconds had been set in 1999, in a MacLaren F1 LM car, specifically shod in bespoke race tyres. The 0-100-0 exercise, designed to separate the men from the boys when it comes to fast cars, was conducted a fortnight ago at Bruntingthorpe airfield. It was part of a series of tests conducted annually by the editorial team from Autocar Magazine. Test co-ordinator, Steve Sutcliffe commented: 'In our experience 0-100-0 is the defining test of what is - and what isn't - a genuinely rapid road car. Ideally your entrant will be light, very powerful, have great traction, a snappy gear change, well laid-out pedals and, most importantly of all maybe, a massive - and friendly to use- set of stoppers. 'The Caterham R500 is the greatest expression of straight-line speed merged with awesome braking ability.' Overall, the R500 finished third in the test, beaten only by two non-road going race-prep'd cars the Jaguar R3 Formula 1 car and a 477bhp Gould Cosworth Hillclimb car. Amongst the considerable scalps claimed by the British sportscar maker were the Pagani C12 S (11.84 seconds), the Porsche 911 Turbo (13.02 seconds) and the Lamborghini Murcielago (13.90 seconds). Caterham's Managing Director, Simon Nearn, was delighted with the result: 'When we created the R500, we spared nothing in our determination to reduce weight and then packed all the performance into it we could. We designed it specifically to go fast and stop fast. I am not surprised we finished top of the pile!' The complete test results are in the 25 September edition of Autocar. The Caterham Superlight R500 is priced at £36,200.
  12. Okay, let's compare with UK and USA. Do you know UK charge gas per litre not gallon? 3.79 litre = 1 USA liquid gallons UK's average price for gas - £0.76 per litre. So I worked it out if UK's price in USA will be:- £2.88 per gallon = $4.75 per gallon!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop whining!
  13. Yep it use 6-to-6 pin firewire and it will do 25mb/sec to 40mb/sec max. It said it's suitable for dv video editing. It mentioned, recommened and sell by Apple.com. Some of them are at 7200rpm. 250GB and 500GB only can go at 5400rpm.
  14. You can use external hard drives by firewire - LaCie. Check those links out. 60GB, 80GB, 120GB, 200GB or 250GB 400GB or 500GB
  15. Lucky git! Go for Pro one! Can i have a copy?! (well, in the future when I buy myself a new iMac)
  16. Go for Superfly. It's more secure and freefly friendly than Classic. It's great rig for budget!
  17. That's great work you have done! Why don't you share it on skydiving magazine and other magazines? One question I would like to ask you. Where do you put spring in? Inside the helmet or between ratchet strap and outside shell of helmet?
  18. Landed 6ft from target! I did a long spiral turn until 50ft then a hook turn on my first try! 17900 points.
  19. Yo Monkey I replied same answer in different group - to view my message click HERE Thanks!
  20. Yo Mike My video is for "Working Together Day" - workshops, exhibitions about deaf issues etc... I was asked to do some presentations for whuffo about my achievement. For hearing family don't know how to raise a deaf child. I want to show them that deaf people can do anything what they want to. A special group called Jack Ashley Millenium Award gave me shitloads £££ to flight to Spain, do an AFF course in Empuria, hotels, sign language interpreter, free jumps tickets etc to became a skydiver - that was my achievement! Anyway video theme = AFF course (all cover - groundwork, put rig on, drills, jumps, lands in 3mins 40sec) then "playtime" - tracking, sitflying, RWs, cool exits, canopy ride, swooping (very little one!) all together about 6 to 7mins. I'll try and finish video without music and post it - so you and other can watch it and suggest some suitable soundtrack. Otherwise it'll be great if you email me some soundtracks. Thanks
  21. I near finished editing my skydive video. Problem is it don't have a cool soundtrack cos I am profoundly deaf. I am totally clueless in this area. Hard House, Garage, Funky etc... I can't tell what's difference between them. I don't want to put 60's rock'n'roll soundtrack in my video by accident! Prefer a soundtrack suitable for extreme sports stuff. Any recommends? Which artist and track should I go for? Where can I find it? Thanks! Of course I'll post it in the future when it's ready.
