  1. This looks promising, but I don't have java installed, so I can't see much on the page. Also this.
  2. Generic advice: Make sure that you have cookies enabled. Also check to see if you are behind a rewriting/filtering proxy like Proxomitron or YAFP. I'm using Moz 1.0.1 and the site works fine. Support may have been broken in one of the more recent versions, but has worked for me since about 0.5. If it's the most recent version that is broken, be sure to put in a bug report at mozilla.org.
  3. I have the first one. It's fine for watching TV on your computer. It is older technology and was not intended to be a capture card, so it is somewhat lacking in that department. I've only ever tried to import low quality (less than TV resolution) clips from a VCR, and it worked acceptably in that instance.
  4. They got one load up, and not even all the way. I missed it, of course. Brian Germain couldn't make it, and apparently nobody noticed that he wasn't there until a half hour after his presentation was supposed to have started (or at least that's when they announced that it was cancelled over the PA). Met too many new people to count. Left around 9:00 because I wanted to try and beat the snow.
  5. You aren't "old skool" if you haven't spent sleepless nights trying to get the Amulet of Yendor. /me is off to download NetHack and piss away the next few weeks.

The sad thing is, if I had sent it in as soon as the card was signed off, I would have less than 40000.
  7. 1152 x 864. Any higher makes my eyes hurt.
  8. The Nitron is a 9-cell elliptical main. Some reviews are here. The Fusion is listed as "coming soon" on PA's website. As for availability, the Nitron order form is available on PA's website, so I would assume that you can buy one if you want. The Fusion apparently hasn't been released yet, or the website is out of date. I'd email Precision (sales@precision.net or info@precision.net).
  9. Any chance that I could get my hands on the original LaTeX file? I can to a conversion straight from LaTeX to pdf that should preserve all of the original formatting. My email address is in my profile.
  10. Ummm? I dual boot between Linux and Windows 2000 Pro. Linux plays MPEGs and WMVs smoother and uses far less resources than Windows Media Player. I've also played several videos that give "chop" on my Windows box (1.2 Ghz Athlon, 1 Gb RAM) with perfect smoothness on a Mac (450 Mhz G4, 128 Mb RAM).
  11. I'm not certain, but I believe this is not legal. It isn't legal to take money of out an employees check without permission. Problem is, if the alternative is to lose your job, or get sued, or both, then most people will just give in.
  12. I'm pretty indifferent. And yes, the weather is entirely Marc's fault.
  13. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City soundtrack, volumes 1-7. The track list is here.
  14. Crap, it works for me, two different browsers.
  15. Update: I won't be there tommorrow. Gonna get all of next week's homework done tommorrow and try and figure out a way to stay at SDC all weekend. I look like a lot like my avatar (and even more like [edit: see attachment]). Say hi if you see me.
  16. The most recent figure I can find is that Pioneer 10 was accelerated to 132,000 kph after slingshoting around Jupiter in 1973.

  18. The most current database is here.
  19. A few of mine (linked, not attached, because I'm too lazy to resize the files): Chuck's first appearance (this is where I got my avatar)[/url] The Real Gabriel Almost True On Micrsoft's Passport News You Can Use And three of my personal favorites: Rhymes with Tang God Help Us Claw Shrimp!
  20. You've never seen my attempts at freeflying, or, as I like to call it, "spin and get scared time."
  21. Outside? Like nature? There's bears and shit out there. Edit to add the cartoon that I stole the joke from.
  22. There have been lots of problems in the past with people overseas buying gear with stolen credit cards. Maybe they've moved on to stolen/forged checks. This wouldn't happen to be a former Soviet Union country, would it? Did they mention how big of a check they were going to write?
  23. From the "stuff I made then forgot about" folder.
