Its not only they problem - I see it on many rigs (oval holes), and ParAAvis do not build their - they buying it from Para Gear Lexa

We begin to fret because white loop was damaged. And - there was RSL on that riser :( Its exactly oval (we disassembled to watch...), and sharp edge fraying loop (on that riser) On other rigs we can see oval in the same way holes, so, I start panic :) But, thanks for comment, I will think about more... At the final inspection of the year we found some trouble during inspection of 3 ring release. It was made of: M3333 (from P-G catalog) H3800B H3860B H3880B The hole in the end of release, where placed grommet for white loop, was oval (instead of round). Because of this, grommet loosening with time, and there appear a sharp edge, which can cut white loop, and release riser. (photo in attachment) After that we inspect more rigs, and found same troubles in big enough quantity of they, made after 01.2001 Can somebody comment it? Sorry for bad English :( Lexa

Racer, total mal. When reserve was delivered for repack, was found some not-so-good things (see in attachment). Riser type 8, connector #5. As I think, there are some variants to prevention: 1. softlink 2. Bumper 3. Fixed connector Sorry for bad English... Lexa

So, if you planning to build harnesses, what will you do? If no one manufacturer do not you IDEAl, how will you design it? Can you list of items, which you want to see in YOUR rig - like: 1. External tucktab 2. Atom-like reserve conteiner 3. Mirage-like main container 4. Internal riser covers 5. Unisyn .... ets.... Sorry for bad English... Lexa

External tuck-tab riser covers - pro and cont???

Some manufacturers build them (RW, RI, VSE, Wings), some not (Mirage, Javelin). Can someone tell me some opinion - its beter because....., or that worser, and that why ..... dont do that... Sorry for bad English Lexa -
But, what about cases, when it was because of desing. Will somebody (FAA?) make any forces to manufacturer, and which? Lexa

What will skydiving community (USPA, FAA, ets) do, if skydiving incident occur because of equipment failure - total reserve mal, for example. Equipment has certificate, for example - TSO, and was inspected\packed in time. Sorry for bad English Lexa

We are going to Aerocart in 10-20.06, and want to BASE it France too. Where, legality, requirement, any advise, please... Thanks. Sorry for bad English... Lexa

Yes, I know. As we can see many rigs without kicker, and TSoed, its working... But, I'm thinking about stupid-protected gear, which is max protected from bad workmanship, or speeddy rigging - and variant with bottom kicker flap is the best, on my opinion (it can be wrong easely...) Lexa
-
I'm not sure about no kicker at all. On my opinion, it's posible to have some problem in that variant - weak launch of PC, jamming of the bottom of PC in D-bag, ets... Have somebody any idea about that? Lexa
-
I know about one kicker. It's not a problem. But, all rigs, which I ever seen with 1 kicker - have top kicker flap. In that variant, there is only bottom. On my opinion, its smart thing - easier to pack, and the main thing - much easier extraction of dbag, no risk of jamming reserve bridle, ets... But, if it's so good - why other manufacturers dont do the some? Lexa
-
Sorry for bad English.... We have here (in Russia) manufacturer, which make a popular local rig. Previous version have had reserve container, pretty like Vector - 2 kicker flaps, PC... In his new model he make onky one kicker flap - only bottom. Have you any consideration about that??? Thanks... Lexa
-
Yes, it was "homemade" Vector-copy Lexa

One more question... Have manufacturer do test program (like AS 8015) for each model of equipment (test, for example, reserve canopy each size - 106, 113, ets, or rig each size) or testing have to be done only for 1 model in series... Have the manufacturer make tests for main? Lexa

After sufficiently succesfull jump (AFF level 4), student on opening altitude went to spin, frighten to no pull... Instructor catch him, opened his chute at about 500 m, and then at abou 400 m pull his reserve (we have such rules in our old SIM). He tried to kick out reserve to the ground.... Malfunction occured because of badness of construction. Bottom reserve flap and top main flap was made like one rigid detail. Because of that, when main container filled (bag still in container) PC of reserve cant jump out (its holding by bottom flap). Is that all? Just 2 pages? Or it is just abbreviated notation? As I understand, requirements about testing I can find in AS 8015B. Have somebody it in file, or link to... And where can I find requirements about materials for manufacturers, strength of the construction, sewing, ets? Thanks for you help, sorry for badly English... Lexa

Hello. I'm rigger and AFF instructor from Ukraine (ex-USSR). In our country there is no certification system for manufacturers of skydiving equipmeng (harness\reserve). Because of that each DZ making own rules, and because of that there are many malfunctions (equipment trobles). 2 month ago at our DZ died AFF instructor - total mal on reserve (wrong construction). After that some DZ owners made working team for developing certification system... Can someone help me: i need info about certification in US, test programs, requirement for material and facilities, ets... Anything about that... Thanks you... Alexey D. Have FAI or USPA some documents, which exactly discribe lifetime for reserve chutes? Or, may-be, have you any info (manufacturer, BPA, ASF, its) about that... Lexa
-
I found, that USPA allow boc PS for student, not only spring-loaded. Can someone picture the scheme for reserve instructor opening? Thanks..... Lexa

If you have big container (170-170 or so) - its possible, and wont look and fit bad... But, in small sizes - I dont reccoment it. I pack 128 Techno to tray for 113 PD - it is REALY tight.... (pull test OK... ) and, I dont like rig look like that, but it was customers oddity... Lexa
