You now, I usually add P.S. in my posts - Sorry for bad English... :) :) :) In russian, we have only лента for all. :) As per Poynter But, I can misunderstud something... Why am I asking? Because I see in my rigging loft more and more second-hand Ravens. I read all the stuff about how Ravens opens, fly, how riggers evaluate PA products. I cant say - "That is bad/good reserve" without additional info. Actually, now I wrining a article for magazine about all the history with Raven, and I trying to make that article max. neutrally... And - I'd like to know - If PA used different tape before - why did they change If they used the same tape - why there was no info about damages. If other manufacturers use the same tape - why they have no same problem. Is the statment like this: "When production of DM series was started, PA decided to change line attachment point to Type 3. No other manufacturer use that type. After some incidents they back for standart for that point type of the tape..." try? If not, why? P.S. Sorry for long post and Bad English.... P.P.S. I send a letter to PA but didnt recieve any reply, so I have to ask riggers community about that... Lexa

We have 2 Omegas at our DZ, with standart for Omega 400 m. openings. One of the owner entreat me to speed up openings somehow, because he just cant wait so long to open that damn thing. I was trying to correct it by packing - in any case and any packing - it openings too long I thinking about to make a hope in the center of slider and cover it by netting to reinforce eges. But how big the hole has to be? Has someone any info about - how much hole - how much affected opening? Next way - to shorten upper control line (and lengthen lower) Sorry for bad English... Lexa

Where are the best place to buy ballistic cloth and Nylon MDS? And, reserve PC spring? Sorry for bad English... Lexa

Its conical, but a wicker, that "standart" american spring (like Mirage or Vector spring). So, if I can ask - why most manufacturers (that use conical spring) recomend to place material out of spring? Lexa
-
One of most profissional riggers in Russia make statement, that placing PC material in coil "increase" spring strench and improve PC launch. Because of that - he recomend that way for all local rigs. It that staitment truth? Sorry for bad English... Lexa
-
I know about observance fo manual. Qestion is - why some manufacturers recomend place PC material in coil? What is pro for it? Lexa
-
Some manufacturers recomend to place PC material of the spring-loaded PC (reserve) IN the spring, but most of manufacturers recomend to move it away from spring and locate in near. What is pro and con for both methods? Why not to use same "standart" variant. Sorry for bad English Lexa

ParAAvis is leading manufacturer in ex-USSR, and not bad known here and Europe. They produce wide line of skydiving equipment - from h\c, to reserves, mains, and tandems. About Flogger - this canopy designed special for CRW, one of the best, if you want my opinion. Some top russian CRW teams uses they, and have very good results (if you look at scores:)) If you like more info - tell me, I'll try o help... Sorry for bad English... Lexa

Only my thought..... Why not to fix it some way? Velcro, tacktab, ets... To make it murfy-free. (Based on real history - I sow packer why place main risers under that flap, motivate it easilly - its easier to pack :)) Sorry for bad English Lexa

I have a qustion about desing of container, may be for makers mosly... When rig with "classic" (not Infinity, Wings style) desing of the top of reserve containar packed, there are a long, not fixid in any way, not covered reserve risers. In can be easilly pulled away from reserve pack tray. So - the question is - why - some manufacturers cover it by secondary reserve top flap (wings) - some cover they by small additional flap (Atom) - some doesnt do anything, and let it be "as is". If they dont want to make additional covers (wings style) and why? Why not to fix the risers by velcro (which will prevent unwanted movement of a risers)? Thanks a lot for you answers. Sorry for bad English. Lexa

Can somebody describe how manufacturers calculate necessary container measurements for preset volume of canopies? For example, if I calculate “deliberate” size of Javelin J 2, I found: Packing volume – 1\2 * length * width * height of the reserve packing tray. 1\2*12*10,5*4=252 c.in. But, as you know – in that size I can pack 170-210 reserve, 400-500 c.in. Is there any coefficient (for multiplying “calculated” volume) for designing and manufacturing of a reserve pack tray? Sorry for bad English… Lexa
