May be you can make somo fotos of jaws in work.. Because I just damaged few more clapms and 2 housing. Still no effect :( Lexa

What is the pinces?? I use side jaw, that was selled Para-Gear "special for that clamps" Lexa
-
So, I did it - buy some clamps and side jaw pincers. There was no manual, so, I just experimenting, and, yet, didnt find the way. So, for ripcord housing and 1-EAR OETIKER CLAMP. The hole in side jaw pincers much bigger then diameter of housing, so I can move housing in clamp after installation. For cutaway housing and twin clamp. As I understand, I have to place thin side of the jaws in between housing and press jaws. But I just damage aluminium clamp.. So - any ideas, diagrams, manual will be the great help... Thanks.... Ok, I'll try to explane. That rigger was asked to shorten MLW. So, he remove chest strap, and cut some lenth from inside layer of MLW. (so make MLW shorter) Then he made new cheststrap and "confluence wrap" above hip ring. So, the front reserve riser go thry 3-ring, down to the hip ring, then do up and termanate just above chest strap. And back reserve riser is just sewed by main stitch pattern. But - after installation on chesrstrap and low confluence wrap the pocket for reserve handle became so small, that reserve hanle always fall out. After two-out because of that, jumper give that system to different rigger, he opened mudflaps and was schoked... Lexa

And, here is a new example of the work from same company - size correction of Racer http://www.skycentre.net/index.php?showtopic=2231&st=0 Smart construction Lexa

OK, I'll try to clear some questions; Yes, of course type 4. My mistake.. From the "thickness" of cord I think that its "like" 5-cord. But - what material, what manufacturer ets - I dont know and HC manufacturer dont tell as... I dont know, HC is under investigation now, and I cant look at it now. About SPI - I dont know too, but cant imagin, that a little wrong tension and little wrong SPI may be the cause. That rig was inspected often, and there was no "big" mistake- that you can catch my eye inspection... No, newer. It was jumped and stored it near perfect condition (we have 5 month season and normal store for the rest of the year). I dont ever see that wariant of construction (simple drawing in attachment). The only one "near" - its a racer, but on racer diagonal and rear riser is the same strap. It have no stitch above 3-ring. It was pulled there at deployment. See in attachment. Yes, thats right Lexa

The fotos are here: http://www.skycentre.net/index.php?showtopic=2060 Sorry, forum in russian, but you can look at foto there... Info about harness: Skyporter Student (Ukr. manufacturer) DOM 2000 Apr 500 or so jumps. Student: 6-7 level AFF, total weight (+ rig) for sure below 115 kg (that DZ weight all their student) Construction of the harness: (sorry for my English, may be someone can correct me) MLW of the rig constructed such way, that its: not makes from front and back risers, that go thry 3-ring joint (where back strap is sewed), and go down to lateral junction and then to legstraps but back risers of the reserve sewed to MLW at 3-ring joint, and MLW makes from front riser and back strap. Confluence wrap - type 12, stitch pattern - 4 point, cord # 5, lenth - 3,4 inch (8-8,5 cm). So, the back riser holdet on place only by stitching... On Cypres fire (back to Earth position), back risers was pulled from 3ring joint, reserve canopy (tempo 250) partialy collapsed, canopy flignt from opening to landidng was less then 10 seconds. Student recieved massive internal injuires (in addition to external like broken legs). EMC was on the scene in few minets, ambulance came to the scene shortly and evacuated him to the hospital, where he died in few hours... Lexa

One of our local manufactorers use such method: terminator ball with shank swaged to it place by smallest hole in Nicopress tool (only the ball swaged, not the shank). Is it normal method for such operation? Lexa
-
It was the first method I used :) that dawm thing so deep in the fabric so I can remove only smal part... Lexa

I'm just thinking now about moving to technora lineset production. Is there anyone who can share some info about that material... - what material do you use for cascadet lineset (what thickness) - what is the price for technora, and where do you buy it. - at what load do you measure lines - do you make any correction (for material compensation) beetwen Vectran and technora? - what machine do you use for sewing, and what pattern, and how big pattern is? - do you make any correction in "bartack" position on top of the line, bottom and cascade? - and any additional info, if you wants :) Thanks a lot, sorry for bad English Lexa
-
Sorry for bad English One of local russian manufacturer uses the same kind of idea in their construction of reserve freebag: velcro pouch for lines and rubberband closing flap with grommets bigger than usial (near size 3, if in US sizes...). 04.03.2006 two way RW jumps, jumpers lost altitute awarnes. 2-way AAD activation. One jumper had normal opening Second jumper, when he realise that they are low, start turning. At that time he feel the PC and freebag launch, look up, see freeback with about 0,5 m of reserve, and nothing more happend... He throw his main PC at about 150m, main opened at height about 10 m. Landing with unrelesed toggles. After landing half of reserve still in bad. Main assumption: one grommet of closing flap didnt open because of lines jam in there... Lexa
