The article about "Jump for the Cause" brought tears to my eyes...my mother passed last August from breast cancer. I wished I were experienced enuff to make that jump with everyone...they want 140+!! It would be sooo cool!! But, I will have to donate money instead of jumping. Oh well, anything helps. I urge everyone to donate somehow as well. It is definately a worthy cause!! Thanks Deva for the advice. I did look at the other jumpers the whole time, and as I can remember, they were at a 45 degree angle before i exited, at my "ready, set, GO" count. But I will keep that in mind. Thanks again! What you "think" you cannot do ...you CAN if you "think" about it

It was nice to meet you too Karen! I'm sure we'll be seeing each other more often, especially when the weather gets nicer. Good explanation Clay! Yes...just serve the assholes! Sometimes they are hard to serve. My daughtr is a process server...had a hard time with one woman. The bitch got into my daughter's car and started going through her purse to see who she was working for. My daughter grabbed her hair and kicked her out!! how about process serving? you could make a lot of money doing that. especially if you're registered. check your county on how to get registered, then advertise with local attorneys. You'll be amazed at the responses!! you can charge anywhere from 25-55 for a serve. check it out What you "think" you cannot do ...you CAN if you "think" about it

I am sooo excited!! Just did my first solo jump today! It wasnt perfect by no means...didnt expect that. I was last on the load...counted to six after the jumpers before me...then prepared myself for a head dive. I think the count to 6 kind of messed me up a bit...i tumbled....BUT I SAW THE PLANE!! I was feeling a little nervous cuz i was the only one there! No one to tell me what to do...no one to pull my chute if need be. But all fears aside...i had a BLAST!! Now i owe 2 cases of beer....didnt pay up for the last first!! What you "think" you cannot do ...you CAN if you "think" about it

"Would it be easy for a computer geek to find a decent paying job? " Well, they layed off a lot of dot commers out in Santa Clara, but computer tech is always needed. Or....you could perhaps get back into practicing?? Come join us again in the legal world...and you could check out jobs at the state level too. Housing is more affordable in Sacto. not sure the numbers though. I know you took a trip out here recently...and you really enjoyed it. Sacto is a great place too.
