  1. what was smaller mirage? and what sized reserve? i wanna put op 143 in MT. I believe MT and MO both have same sized reserve tray??? and what I don't get is that, op 143 should pack like pdr 126, if not easier to put it in the bag. and they list pdr 126 as a optimal fit and op 143 as a extreme tight fit. their optimal fit already looks bulky as fuck typically in westcoast, people breaking cypress cutter left and right and if they are tighter fit than that I don't even wanna waste my time on it. 2. bump.. anyone else seen or heard someone with op143 in MT or M0??? Thinking op143 should pack simliar to pdr 126 or slightly smaller than smart 135.... but Mirage's chart says 143 will fit extremely tight. I have no AAD so that should give me little bit more room to play with.. thx for the reply. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  3. Hook it little lower? Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  4. wow, had to go thru 10 years of fatality to find 5 huh??? 1st one could've been fine if the guy had proper gear check done, during assembly. 2nd one. most of sigma system has conlins laynard rsl. 3rd, it was time for the dude to go 4th and 5th, either poor body postion during cutaway or poor line untiwsting technique. 5. name some, that went fatal or sustained injury due to rsl. I've know atleast two people with in my time, 6 years, that would've been saved if it was for rsl. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  6. I fly x-braced anything from velo, vs to xaos loaded anywhere between 2.1 to 2.5 I fly camera sometimes. I have rsl, and my belief is that worst thing you get out of rsl is massive linetwist, which is far easier to clear on a square reserve parachute vs highly loaded x-brace. having linetwisted reserve is far better option than missing a handle or losing track of alti and going in. My last cutaway, linetwist/something. I barely used all of my energy to get my belly into the wind before chopping. although I was getting flung across the sky sideways, my reserve came out straight without linetiwst. Oddest feeling of deployment tho, seeing horizon perfectly in a 90 degree manner. I thought I beat rsl but didn't. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  7. lengthen em more. it is way too short if you can reach full stall. My set up is so long that caopy doens't react until my shoulder level. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  8. DZ is just like high school. You have several little cliques. You have belly groups. Old and Young. You have freeflying groups Old and Young. You have groups that smokes pot. You have groups that drinks alchohol. You'll have groups that goes out and eat dinner with one another after jumping. You also have groups that are interested in fucking one another takin turns. Than you have wingsuiters CRW and Swoopers. Pick your poison and join one, and actively participate in that activity. If you are only interested in non-skydivng shit which are not one of the above. I Suggest taking up Paragliding. btw, I hated that skydiving community were so cliquey and high school like when I first started out. After years of skydiving I have become one of those people I used to hate. Didn't even notice until someone pointed out that, "You guys have become one of those guys that we used to make fun of". 9. I pack JVX 94 in V306 bag. I've packed JFX 94 in a V306 bag and it feels significantly smaller than JVX does. FX 99 packs perfectly in a V306 bag, and that packs as big as VX 94. and VX94 packs slightly bigger than KA120 or Crossfire 119. FX104 should pack sized between crossfire 119 and 129 depending on your packing skill. Hope this helps. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  10. I teach em about 45 degree only and only when no other sources are available. If pilot tells me "I have no clue", and there was nothing down by the manifest, and if no one on the load knows, 45 degree is better than nothing. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  11. JFX dives pretty close to velo, they just don't retain much power thru the swoop. Opens on heading and nice, without much snivel. Same wingloaded JVX flys much much different vs JFX. You can call JFX as a super specter flights and JVX feels like super stilletto flight. If you like flat glide get the JVX, if you like decent opening and steep glide get the JFX. JFX will stall out much quicker on rears before it flattens out anywhere near JVX does. Even JFX has potential to fuck your day up with bad opening tho. I've only jumped JFX 15 times or so, but just like any x-braced canopy when shit goes wrong it will go wrong very quickly. Don't let the advertising fool you. I've seen plenty jump with Sub 84 velo and fly wingsuits. They claim JFX to be docile canopy when it is really not. Luigi Cani can jump JFX with wingsuit, but that doensn't mean that anyone else can. 12. is there any USA made main or reserve??? besides precision?? Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  13. if you were to force yourself to do front flip/barrel roll hard out the door instrutor might lose you, than if i were on main side chance of your pc coming out at 10k at any body postion is high. Have fun someone pulling you out at 10k on your back/side spinning while trying to lose your affi. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  14. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Only way could possibly be is learn how to fly in the tunnel and make sure that you learn such a way to do so, and it is possible to fly all axis without shoulder dislocaton, I've know couple tunnel instructor with dislocating shoulder. Even than learn how to pop em back in, so that if someone with rough dock pulls your arm out you can pop it back in under canopy. Stay under big canopy or learn how to fly it with one arm with big docile one. I would not wanna fly my current canopy with one arm. This is my biggest fear and I haven't really practiced up high yet, even tho I practice flying backwards all the time. If you have to proceed with emergency procedure you better hope that you do not have dislocated shoulder at the time. In fact this is my first question that I ask my first jump course student, so that I don't end up wasting my time, "have you ever had shoulder dislocation?," Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  15. Dude, they let you do tandem again after that??? Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  16. vx at 2.2 load it is heavy as fuck compare to canopy such as katana or crossfire. I don't see how vx at 1.4 will even fly nice or have any benefit of flying x-braced at such a low wing loading. I load mine between 2 to 2.4. Higher the loading they tend to get lighter, so I can only assume that it will get heavier as a wing loading drops, maybe stays the same, i'm just talking out my ass. Would you wanna fly vx 149 or Velo 150??? Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  17. After cutaway, you find the canopy a week later, 7 days of sun but no rain. Do a pull test??? What about the hma lines??? They look pretty decent. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  18. x brace at 1.4 would have front riser pressure so high that it won't even be budge. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  19. I go from 370 to 84 in one jump. than more 370 at diffrent wing load than 84. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  20. People do that all the time, Crossbraces flys big. I went from ka120 to ve96 jumped few times and bought ve84. If you can fly canopy you'll be able to fly anysize. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  21. you only have like 100 something jumps, jump 500 more and see if downsizing 20 sq is big deal. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  22. So in your theory, in case of cutaway passenger pays double???? Minor mal function do happen time to time. It was still a jump. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  23. Overweight tandem students, with improper fitted harness would be the right answer. I've seen plenty of overweight tandem students jump and stay inside the harness, even without y-mod. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  24. i'm just throwing out my version of ideas out there, dude. Not trying to argue anything. But typically when the person is able to feet flock they tend to do better on their head. If the skill aren't there, I'd say that the person is not going to be able to participate in a big way. Just like head down big way requires people to do turn 180, go forward than flat out, big way sit might have to require people to be able to transition into head in place prior to breaking off. All based off on your statement to turn 180 in sit and than feet flock forward first. Why not than do 180 in a sit and do cartwheel and go forward?? Remember, we are on Dorkzone.com people say dumbass things and even when not trying to say dumbass things it may come across as a dumbass thing. Words gets lost in translation. Not to piss you off or diss you anything. I'm all for the event. 3 plane + sit jump will be sick. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
  25. Katana has way better bottom end flair vs crossfire. all canopies slows down to about the same speed. even if i have to come straight in without any front riser input I much rather fly katana or crossfire vs sabre2 or safire 2. Bernie Sanders for President 2016
