Can they be dated as a unit? If so, I'll galdly take them off your hands... ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Well, I can definitely take a break. We still work at the same place. I think it is going to be OK. She basically just realized that we don't want the same things. Oddly, I think that watching "Good Stuff" helped make it happen. There is a part in there where one of the guys from Airspeed says something to the effect of "If you want to sit home on the couch with the remote, then go big. That's just not my thing." I think that when Alicia saw that, it helped illustrate the differences between us. She never wants to try anything new, and I am the type who seeks out new experiences. Results in trouble with vacation planning, weekend planning, etc. BMcD... ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

0:8:0 This is the downside to the splitup with Princess Whuffo. BMcD... ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

OK, me and Princess Whuffo have been having more than our share of problems lately, and I was trying to figure out how to get out, and she tells me that she does not think either of us is happy and that we should take some time off. Pretty cool, huh? I don't have to be the bad guy, and now there is a good chance that I will be able to remain friends with a pretty cool chick (for a whuffo). >>has Arizona Airspeed or the Golden Knights ever visited the White House after a World Meet victory? If not, then why not?

>>That's true, but you could reach up with your hand and manually deploy the reserve using the RSL as it's own handle (in the event you simply "couldn't" find the res. ripcord).

>>2) You can't find your reserve ripcord during a total malfunction.

That is your maximum synch speed - the fastest speed at which all parts of the film are exposed at the same instant. If you go to a faster shutter speed, the shutter starts acting like a slit that moves across the film, and the instantaneous flash will therefore only appear in a portion of the scene. How can any "child abuse" be "not serious"? Are you people out of your heads? I think I got one![\white] ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

I totally agree with you. I saw a mother once tell her child to put a tooth that had fallen out under his pillow, and that a fairy would come and give him money during the night. We all know that is such bullcrap, and it makes kids get into witchcraft, drugs, and possibly even become libertarians. I told her that I thought there should be a law against her raising her child the way she thought was appropriate, and she just looked at me like I was an idiot! Don't these people know that I know what is best for their kids? Don't they realize that my opinion is the only one that matters? Man, I can't wait until there is no freedom of choice whatsoever and we all want exactly the same things and act the same way, like in that great book by George Orwell. But he promised it would be here sooner. What a ripoff. I'm like, hurry up already. BMcD... It will be very interesting to see how many people agree with some of this. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

I had a Haro Master for flat, and it was all but useless on the ramp. The headset angle was so steep that it would scare the crap out of you. I agree with you that it is better to buy a street or ramp bike and set it up for flatland than to buy a flatland bike and try to force it onto the ramp. I wound up using my race bike for ramps, which kind of sucked, because I was always racing with tweaked rims. BMcD... ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

On a family vacation with my SO a couple of years ago, my parents brought my Cycle Craft race bike. It was fun as hell to ride, and I was impressed with my ability to whip it around a little, so I got cocky and started riding a slow wheelie. It seems that when you are 50 punds heavier, your rear brake is not quite as good at overcoming your tendency to loop out, so smacked my @ss pretty good in front of the SO while showing off in the parking lot. If you weigh more than the average teenager, get the flatland specific tires that are higher pressure and some good (don't know if the Peregrines are still the ticket, but they were when I was a big kid) wheels with 72 spokes. BMcD... ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Awesome, dude. Thanks for the links. Those were outrageous. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com -
I've been gone for a week, and there are like a million new messages. So I'm not even gonna try to catch up - I'm just starting fresh with new threads and assuming I had nothing valuable to add to any that began before today (jfields and billvon are probably both screaming "NO SH!T" right now). Actually, if I missed anything really good, somebody please PM me. BMcD... ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com
