  1. Typical change of plans at the last minute by GPT, so I blame him. Chuckie
  2. When I wear drawers (southern vernacular) at all, it's always boxers. Mostly, though, it's either nothing, or always black nylon Soffe shorts, commonly known as "catch me fuck me" shorts. Everyone in my line of work and around here wears them. Chuck
  3. I have over $3000 worth of gym equipment sitting right behind me, to include a $900 treadmill; none of which I use at all anymore. I have a $1500 mountain bike hanging from my ceiling with flat tires from lack of usage. Still, my incredibly high metabolism and my inability to "sit still" for more than a few minutes at a time make it impossible for me to be out of shape. Riding my motorcycle FAST, hauling meat (tandems), and skydiving all the time keep me plenty strong. I may not be the Tes/Deca trapezoid boy I used to be, but I am still an SF scuba god and can keep up with the young pups when it comes down to it. Hey, 39 and not a single gray hair. It's all about good genes!
  4. I use diagonal side cutters and a pair of pliers.
  5. The biggest difference I can tell in flight between a GTi and a classic is in how much energy it takes to fly it. A GTi is quite a bit harder on the arms. I have a buddy, Bobby Pritchard, who has absolutely no problem staying up with an intermediate experienced wingsuit flyer in a SkyFlyer. He has sustained 24 MPH in his classic, but has only slowed my skyflyer down to around 40mph sustained.
  6. 36k, night, combat equipment, 02, level I train-up. Salerno DZ. It was fucking COLD. At that altitude, the positive pressure from your twin 53's just blows all out around your nose and under your goggles. It's fairly hard to exhale. Chuck
  7. I have outstanding grooming standards. There are clippers in every bathroom in my house. I cannot stand a hairy snatch. Lewd, crude, and abusive; that's me.
  8. I own both and can tell you they are VERY different. A SkyFlyer is a squirelly sonofabitch until you get your "smoothness" down. The smallest little move translates into a much bigger move than when you are flying a GTi or Classic. This is ESPECIALLY evident with the leg wing which is much longer/larger than the other suits. Most people with low wingsuit numbers find themselves "fishtailing" in a SkyFlyer initially. Once you have the suit mastered, though, you can fly circles around people in the smaller suits. Actually, the best way to describe it is that when you are all flocking together, someone in a Skyflyer can pop "hard wings" and just fly away from you; up, up, and away, or just accellerate straight ahead of you like you are standing still. A very good GTi flyer can still outfly a novice SkyFlyer jumper, but around here, we swap off on occasion just to stay well rounded. Chuck
  9. Yeah. I agree with Derek if we are going to talk about "other than USPA" common methods. I think a Tandem Progression (AFP, whatever you call it at your DZ) level one would be the best "single" skydive for a first-time jumper. Chuck
  10. I guess it pretty much depends on the DZ, but at least where I come from (and was taught), one was instructed and critiqued by the senior jump pilot in that type. In this case, the person is my dad (with 40 years flight, jump pilot, and skydiving experience). Chuck
  11. I don't guess you have had to keep an RV filled that gets 7mpg 2400 miles round trip to Quincy and back. The MonkeyBago rules! Chuckie
  12. About 500 this year, just off the top of my head, but that's close.
  13. When and where are you guys getting picked up?
  14. Me either. If you can't figure out who I am by looking at my legs, then you have to be blind.
  15. Holy crap! I have sent and received nearly 100 today. No lie, just dropzone.com PM's.
  16. I picked RIGHT up on that comment, Betsy. PM the master.
  17. I shall take this into consideration, young padewan.
  18. Betsy, in the name of the great Monkey Lord, I command you to give up the bootie, uh, I mean "tent". Chuckie SM-1
  19. OK, here's the poop: Me, Lisa, and Travis need a ride from PHX on the 25th at around 8:30 pm. Are there any volunteers? We will pay gas (plus coctails), but I am not interested at all in renting a car for that length of time just to have it sit on the DZ the whole time. Anyone? Beuhler? Anyone?
  20. cult jam.....LOL! Actually, I just caught the typo and fixed it.
  21. Nathan, I told Lisa (mouth) that is exactly what I wanted to do. Actually, my plan was to show up, start partying, then see how the group splits up as the night goes on. That makes it far simpler to work things out. I have no problem finding shelter and warmth.
  22. Do you have any icing that needs licking?
  23. OK, so how far is it from that hotel to the airport? I am all about bunkhousing, but tenting is cool if there are other "fiesta" people who are doing so. I don't really want to lug a tent all the way out there, but I do have plenty of snivel gear and a nice fartsack.

    Venting?

That is absolutely not the way I think, nor was it what I said. I could give a rats ass whether or not anyone stays past their contractual obligation. I just don't need to hear any bitching about being put out when it absolutely could have been avoided by using a bit of common sense. I wish Jess the best in her future and I am sad that her cover was blown (my guess); she talked like she enjoyed her work. The posts after her first one were what forced me to fire back. I have little tollerance for uninformed opinions.
