  1. Don't let Nathan fool anyone; we have internet connections here in Raeford, NC and I will give him plenty of computer access. By the time he gets any farther south, he will be fully countrified. I will have him saying "y'all" in no time. Chuck
  2. But, do you have a ticket yet? Man, I am so happy I got mine over 70 days out; how about you, Lisa? Chuckie a confirmed participant in holiday nig-noggery
  3. Please bring me some Maximum Ice. The Canadian crowd that comes to Raeford every year always hooks us up. Chuck

Who gives a shit; I would like to party with her. She IS a known associate.
  5. Just like flies! They are falling by the wayside every minute... Like I can talk after my Rantoul and Richmond misfires Chuck
  6. Just under half my ashed will be spread in freefall over Raeford Parachute Center. Just under the other half will be spread in freefall over my dad's DZ in Alabama. The remainder will be put in a liquor bottle and be kept on the mantle over the bar at the Wingmen Motorcycle Club, Fayetteville, NC chapter clubhouse. There is already one brother who's ashes are similarly kept and who is sometimes brought down onto the bar to toast drinks to. BSBD, Chuck
  7. I have personally witnessed this lewd activity at the old Halloween boogie in Barnwell, SC. Yes, they were fully "hooked up" prior to stepping off the ramp of the Caribou. Chuck
  8. I am a lifelong gun owner/user. Currently I own/carry two pistols (a .45 acp Astra A100, and a 9mm Makarov derivative), a combat shotgun, and a very nice 742 Woodmaster Carbine in 30.06 with a Bushnell sportview. I don't travel without a gun in the car and you would be a complete idiot to attempt a break-in of my house. I am school trained many times over in close-in and far away shooting; thanks to uncle sam and my dad. Chuck
  9. Yes, Big E from Hawaii. Yes, the 25 is a real parachute, not a toy, and no, I don't want to try and land it either. Though, the CC and even standard Cobalt 65's are a joy to fly. Chuck
  10. Actually, those of us who have been around a while will remember that this is exactly what the Extreme Canopy Pilots Association (ECPA) was supposed to be. The rift between Jim and Lyle developed when neither would agree on one certain type of competiton a meet should contain, nor what was considered "adequate" as a buffer in the "corner" area. Jim and Reggie both insisted that the courses start over water, for safety; while Lyle disagreed and said beach sand was fine. It was those things which led to the split, with each guy feverishly promoting his brand of competition and meets. Personally, I like all of it, but enjoyed maintaining a running "standing" with PPPB last year. You know, there aren't really that many of us who make more than one or two meets a year, but I never even got an invite to the Florida meet last winter, even though I was ranked 8th in PPPB at the time.....odd. I got a serious "good old boy" feeling about that, the same as I did at the PPPB mountain meet this past winter when unranked competitors made the manifest in place of ranked tour competitors. It is my hope, as a competitor, that the differences truly have been worked out. I like Lyle, but have not spent much time with him; I have known and been friends with Jim for some time now. In my retirement from the service I am going to have plenty of time to get around and hit as many meets as I have money and or sponsorship to attend. You can believe that I will report things exactly how I see them. Chuck Blue D-12501 swoop monkey PS: who among you is flying to ASC for the meet on 1,2,3 November? Jim?
  11. Actually, it might not be a bad idea to get a solid white suit and tie-dye that sonofabitch yourself. Chuck
  12. Like I said when I trained you; you can use my shit anytime I am not using it, just buy me a beer later. Still, you need to get yourself a suit so we can have bigger flocks. Chuck
  13. There is obviously a mistake, as my name is not on that list............. Your friendly neighborhood MODERATOR. Chuck
  14. One and the same. We will both be at ASC for the swoop meet on 1,2,3 November.
  15. Hey, it's all about DZ ghetto life! Hell I own two houses in town, but am never there anymore. Chuck
  16. But, there are no trees around for me to swing from....
  17. My first two rigs were Christmas/birthday presents from my DZO dad, as were both of my sisters' rigs. Come to think of it, I have never paid "real" prices for any parachute I have ever owned. It's all about networking and sponsors! Chuck
  18. Remember, it's "Rook" with double "0's" as in "spoon", NOT like in "took". He is a great guy. Chuck
  19. I have all sorts of swoopy shoes. My current favorites are my new Vans "Petersen" signature pro skateboard shoes; flat soles and very stylish. I like to pond swoop in my old Navy issue gray canvas coral dive booties; very thin, flat soled, and sporting some flames sewn to the sides that I cut out of an old VS-17 panel. Chuck
  20. I trained Trevor Hill (the freeflyer) about three weeks ago; he ruled right out the door. I believe he is picking suit colors right now. Chuck
  21. This weekend rocked. Not so many skydives, but several milestones for locals: New GK, Scott Janise, made his 1000th jump and was sumarilly pied, then bodyslammed by a chick. DZ packaho, Bobby Pritchard, made his 500th. It was a very nice 2-point 17-way with video. The band Bad Monkey played in the bar on Saturday night; they rocked as usual. Nig-noggery was in FULL effect all weekend. I picked up my retirement orders today! Fuckin-A RIGHT! Chuck
  22. Me TOO! Don't MAKE me put the caddy-wompus on you!
  23. Yes, welcome aboard. We are quite a diverse crowd, that's for damn sure. Chuck
