Any News from Bob Sinclair??
SkymonkeyONE replied to kenneth21441's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Bob was here at Raeford, NC about two months ago. -
This is far from the first time someone has made off with a bunch of CYPRES units and sold them to unsuspecting jumpers. There was an instance of such theft here Fayettevile/Raeford, NC in 1995 or 1996. the 10 units "mysteriously disappeared" from the USAPT rigger loft. All of them ended up in Panama, were sold abroad, and were found to be stolen when the units were sent back for 4-year checks. SEVERAL active duty and retired US Army people got in a lot of trouble over this. Chuck

1/2 ton trucks are for ladies. I think I will stick to 1 ton double-cab duallies for towing. Chuck

Very unfortunate. I really liked Jack.

Cloud Surfing - Solo Cloud Surfing vs flocking

Given the choice, I prefer "both". Nothing better than chasing your wingman through the canyons and through the tunnels. Like a jet fighter! -
We used to own one for family travel, but jumped it about ten times for demos with the rear cargo doors removed. It's a very low door, but we stacked out of it fine. I think if I were going to try to exit in a wingsuit out of it I would lay on my back with my knees up and roll to the right out the door and into the airstream making sure to keep my wings collapsed until the tail went by. I would definitely not make a habit out of it. Chuck

slapping an AFF student on the wrist to get them "back in the game" and focusing on altitude is very, very common. Here, slapping either wrist means "check altitude and look for signals"

I remember that like it was yesterday. That was before you even got married unless I am mistaken. Take care old friend, Chuck

Wow...What a nice guy. So sorry for my Farm friends and any family. Chuck SM-1 -
Or in my case most of the time, watching the sun come up and then hearing this song.

How very unfortunate.... Ash was a great guy. I taught him the BMI course at Eloy forever ago and made many nice wingsuit jumps with him. Last time I got the pleasure of seeing him was in Kauai when he and some others came over from Oahu to BASE jump right up the road from where I lived. So sad, Chuck

It, in my opinion, is impossible to find a better "all around" wingsuit than the P2. I have 11 suits by every manufacturer, but would would give up all but my P2 if forced to have only one suit. Chuck

FWIW, the Blay twins (Jay and Scoot) "inherited" all of the Caledonian screens when they took over the building and renamed it Twin Graphics. They took all the screens with them to Raeford, NC when Sunpath moved there. Chuck

....And, as usual, Eddie's hair was PERFECT! I can't believe he was able to hold it together for that first bit; that girl was a nut.

Makes me sort of sad for the poor fuckers who paid three grand for those things....

Sad news. I bought his wingsuit from him in January to add to my collection. I will make sure it gets jumped this weekend in his honor.

I am laughing at myself for just realizing that the topic of the thread (which I replied to) had disintegrated into a five page fuck fest. NICE! That's what I get for not signing on to this site in like six months.

Oddly, this is definitely not the first time this has been done. I am positive that Vladi Pesa has done it and I know for a fact that the late Chris Martin did it at the WFFC. Chuck
