  1. The Magnuson for sure. It's right across from the Crystal Bar, right next to Wendys, KFC, and an EXCELLENT cuban restaurant and a quick run across 6th Ave (crack alley) to the DZ. Chuck
  2. We had 122PM here at Raeford for a long time. Still had -20's on it when we had it.
  3. I supported Chip's 24-hour record in Z-Hills. It was hardcore. He had the same passenger and she was bruised black and blue at the end of it. Chuck
  4. Levi 505's or Carhartts. Nothing else, ever.
  5. .....leads to massive hangovers
  6. Scott Campos flew one of his suits in the Eloy tunnel
  7. I'll bite; I haven't competed at Nationals or at a PST event since 2005. I would MUCH rather compete in Ranch PSN-type meets. You can keep the ultra-loaded, pop-up, ass-smashing distance runs that have been vogue these past years. Chuck an old guy in the vintage Ranch PSN videos
  8. I know right! Who would have thought they would have taken an old fart like me in the Navy! Three years, Arthur? Really? Where is the nearest toilet so I can stick your head in it?
  9. Another note about short risers: Lot's of wingsuiters do/did use short risers because it makes it MUCH easier to reach your toggles right after opening. The trade-off is a shorter recovery arc. Chuck
  10. My "average" is one per year, but I got twice in a row a couple of years ago down in Z-Hills. For reference, it always seems to happen to me under canopy at around 1500 feet: right around the time that their adrenaline has caught up to them. I have only ever been barfed on once in freefall and it was not pleasant. Chuck
  11. I had one "round" kid pass out on me under canopy as I was undoing the side straps about six years ago, but got him to come around right before I landed. I have had three pass out on me as soon as we landed and I got them unhooked.
  12. Now THAT'S a fine memory, Scott! Aggie Dave photography at it's best.
  13. Or just do a tail-first (poop) exit and stay knees in and bent forwars until the tail goes past. like this? Your video is still uploading Mike. That is not a proper poop exit, Kris. I don't know what the hell that was supposed to be.

  15. This thread is AWESOME! NIce come-backs, Ron
  16. Yesterday, January 12th, was my 31st anniverary of my first skydive. I totally forgot it yesterday. In case you missed the story last year: C-182, 17-years-old, B-12 Harness, SL, 28 foot 7-TU with a belly wart, 2800 feet, door off, my dad's DZ in (technically) Tuskeegee, AL. I am still at it full-time. I do AFF/Tandem/Wingsuit instruction. I have never broken a major bone doing it. I have nine reserve rides, including one tandem rig double malfunction which I lived through jumping a prototype. I only have 7,500 jumps in that time, but that's cool because I am best friends half my age with twice as many jumps because they grew up in the "turbine age" and did not spend 21 years in the army like I did. My dad, Buddy Blue, D-597, still jumps on occasion, still thinks he's better looking than me, and I accept that.
  17. what in the fuck are you doing flying a V3 with "limited wingsuit experience" ? BTW: you WANT to fly big suits head-down and with your arms raked back a bit to get the massive forward speed afforded by those "long legged" suits. With speed comes distance and time. That seemed very alien to all of us older wingsuiters back in the day and we all did it wrong by trying to cup the air in those suits. The slower forward-rate jumps are fantastic when you are flocking, but if you really want to rip it in a larger suit (my biggest is an S-Bird), then duck your head, cup your arms back a bit and get amongst it. Chuck
  18. Amazing to see you still on here, Keely!
  19. Dear Sunshine, Do you still like moonshine?
