  1. wow thats got to be an anomoly.. you cant swing a dead cat (or a live one) at Eloy without hitting an Engineer... Or a convicted felon!
  2. 1. Mandisa (I think that's the right spelling) killed it last night. She was great 2. Catherine McPhee did 2nd best in my opinion. Dark haired girl who also sings opera I think. 3. Kelli Pickler (who lives about an hour from here) did OK. I was spitting up when Simon said she was a "Minx" and she didn't know what it was. Right at the end, when she was talking to Ryan, she said "I'm a Mink!" and everyone busted out laughing. 4. The chick from Tampa, FL (rocker girl) did OK too. The rest of them can beat it. The guys, as a group, are much better than the girls at this point.
  3. No ban, but a lock on this pointless thread. Remember what I said about starting another one.
  4. Fuck it! Apply full power and up elevator! Do a trick! Nice looking plane.
  5. Kevin Orkin says they are really light, but I can't say HOW light. A fix would be to replace the heavy, stock NiMh battery with a small LiPo to save weight and make up extra space and load capacity for the camera. Chuck
  6. It's not so much post whoring in your case (and anyone from The Farm's case); it's mostly duplicate posts about stuff. I am not sure that applies here. We move a lot of stuff around. Stuff that would be best suited in other forums. If that means that it will end up with duplicate posts in a forum, then one is going to get shit-canned. Hey, are you going to be in DUBLIN? I will. Chuck
  7. I think it's going to be the next person who starts a "banned" thread. Just a guess.
  8. I have been a mod a very long time now.
  9. Has the secret been spilled yet? Is it JUST that Lee's fat, sweaty ass will be making it to the boogie now? Lord help me.
  10. I used to get tremendous amounts of grief for listening to him/them by my ex-wife! She thought it was "kill your mother (and then yourself)" music. She just didn't get it at all.
  11. Make no mistake, the man is a fucking celebrity. All you bitches should be lined up to service him! Oh wait, Clint isn't a bitch.
  12. I am going to get a camera, but it's going to go in the belly of my Extreme. Much more useable lift on that plane.
  13. Anyone else catch his concert last month on Ovation? I think it was the Ovation channel anyway. Definitely that one or another one just like it on digital cable. Anway, it was fucking brilliant. a great mix of Smiths and his solo stuff. I only caught the last part of it, but I was stoked.
  14. I moderate "general" too. What's the problem, Chris?

Yes, though there were only two groups at my school the year I graduated. You either hung out or you didn't. I did. I graduated from a very-small country school. We had 74 graduates in 1982. 7. Ever skip school? No. Nothing to skip school for. I lived on a farm. 8. Ever smoke? Never, to this day. 9. Were you a nerd? Nope. 16. That's the spirit! You know, my dad has been operating a successfull dropzone on "restricted" airport property for nearly two decades. They simply refuse to let him take over the FBO hangar and they refuse to let him build another hangar on top of the pad where he runs his "tent and trailer" operation. Oh, there used to be a hangar right where he wanted to put one. They can't stop him from running a business there, but they sure don't make it easy. A good cadre of instructors, locals, and a nice airplane ought to insure your success. Don't give up. I wish you guys the best of luck. 17. I am answering questions on canopy control and wingsuit flight in the open forum at safety day at Raeford Parachute Center
  18. Before, when there were only three forums on the site. That said, I have been reprimanded in private for getting a little to emotionally involved in some issues since I have been a mod. No one is beyond censure.
  19. I am going to say this about that: -What is the point of hitting "send" on a post you know you are likely to regret and then end up deleting? It's pointless and drives us moderators nuts since we are the ones who ultimately have to clean the mess up. I, personally, get really tired of that stuff. It's bad enough that we have to wade through the endless mountain of garbage that Bonfire generally contains. Tirelessly looking for these lovely nuggets of personal attacks that some of you like to hide deep inside some of these pathetically-lame-brained threads. Puleeeeze. Chuck
  20. Yes, it's just you, Clint.
  21. Oh, and Ron, yes I have been banned. So has the original G&R moderator. I am pretty sure I banned at least two others who became moderators too. Chuck
  22. Actually, Rhino has now managed a double lifetime ban.
  23. I was dicking around on google yesterday and happened upon a ton of RC forums. One in particular, RC Universe, www.rcuniverse.com had threads on current aircraft that were thousands of replies long. It was overwhelming! I was fascinated at some of the mods people were doing to the ParkZone P-51 I have. Chuck
  24. No sweetie. that's orange county, New York. Monster Garage, or West Coast Choppers is in CA. I was spitting on the screen when old girl typed "California". OCC is in Rock Tavern, NY. Not far at all from the united states military academy at West Point.
  25. How Soon is Now is by far my favorite song of all time. I am a tremendous fan.
